I've recently had delivered my first supplement: a months supply of Bulbine 100% from Matrix Nutrition.

Any of you guys heard of this?

Have I been rinsed?

Cheers!

Dont use that crap, certain blends are composed wrong and actually lower your testosterone. Use something like Nitrix from bsn. You could do worse than a bsn stack but if you arent a bodybuilder you might want to use Monstermass, tastes good and works well - only it adds a little fat, so any fat loss takes a little longer.

To be fair, you could just use viagra and it would have a better effect.

I'm 5ft 11" - 6ft and 87kg. I'm starting a weights program combined with insanity this week. I'm trying to lose 5kg for July. I don't have a massive amount spare to lose. I definitely don't want to bulk up or get any bigger, just tone. Any ideas?

I've tried Viagra during cardio. It's quite effective, but the headaches are insane.

Try nitrix then, start with low dosage. Just do cardio and go to the sauna and drink water regularlyso your body stops retaining it. Not difficult to lose 5 kg in 4 months. Cut down on the salt and white bread if you have it but you probably can do without. If you use the cross trainer thing set it on level 25 and do hill training for 10-20-30 minutes building up if you need to.

I used to box between 66kg to 75kg but had to kill myself to make weight. Even back then I wasn't ripped (I was more of a Calzaghe with bigger legs). Now I've aged abit, I've got a bit more thicker all over. I'm broad shouldered but got a waist to match (34-36 trouser). I'll lose 5kg no probs but the problem is i've never been 'ultra defined'. That's the target.

Pure vanity project for my holidays.

I'll check nitrix out...

Supplements are a big waste of money. Healthy diet and regular exercise will always do the trick.

The only thing I would recommend is a protein powder as most of the time post workout it isn't convenient to eat 5 raw eggs.

Exactly.
If your aim is to lose a few kilos and get more defined, then you can easily achieve this simply through exercise and diet.
Just start cutting down on your calories (mainly from carb and fat sources) and use the threadmill/crosstrainer at a reasonable pace for 30 minutes three times a week.
Natural test boosters are beyond useless. Save your money.

I've been eating more than usual over the winter and training less since the baby was born. I'm actually 93.89 kg. 14stone 11lb. The target remains the same 82kg (before the 21st of July).

I'll start the 9 week Insanity Deluxe Program tomorrow. I hate it but it works.

If there aren't any legal miracles I'll give the supplements amiss. Cheers

Back in the 80's there used to be something called finijet/thinijet/phinijet something like that anyway. Never used it myself but a number of competitive bodybuilders I knew got great results.
Think it may have been illegal though.

Finajet is still very popular now but it usually comes under the name of Trenbolone Acetate (Tren Ace).
Very powerful steriod for strength and lean mass gains.

Post by RDW Fri 12 Apr 2013, 9:33 am

Morning folks,

Regular rugby poster here, looking for some advice on a mass builder

http://www.supplementcentre.com/ProductPage/13070/8KG-Monster-Matrix-Weight-Gain.asp

There are lots of good reviews on this but some concerns too. The protein content isn’t as good as other products but that can be topped up by diet and other suppliments. Concerns are sugar levels and cheap ingredients – can anyone shed any light?

I’ve never used these type of supplements before so wanting to choose a decent one. This one is cheap so I am hoping it is good!

Thanks

Mate I've had success with or without weight gainers..........Sometimes the problem is over use.........When people have them they tend to replace good meals rather than use them as supplements.......

Drink a lot of good semi-skimmed milk and eat well and you'll soon pack it on..

Insanity is killing me, I completed day 7 today. I've upped my protein intake (chicken breasts, egg whites and cottage cheese) and lowered my simple carbs (no bread for 8 days). I've lost 5lb in that time.

It's lower body intensive and I'd highly recommend it. It's great for cardio and leg power......but I'm a little worried my upper body will waste away. After this 2 month program is over I might start P90X. Anyone know if its any good?

Interested to see your P90X results, Mackem, you will have a greater influence on my eventually buying it than those 'real-life' YouTube videos

7 days ago (The start of insanity) I took a 'before' picture. I'll do the same if i start p90x. The only problem is I've weird sized doorways and false walls in my house - so I'm struggling to find a pull-up bar that's suitable.

From reading the amazon reviews it looks like it's not suitable for weak door frames on false walls. Thanks for the help though!

Your thick all over... Laugh

I've never done Cardio..Good hard sessions of weight lifting will shift the fat as long as you eat okay..........

Cardio is overrated..for those that want a good body....Don't use up good energy.

Loads of plyometrics Truss. It's good, honest.

I've never been one for weights, I've always circuit trained and used my own body weight. I've always had a decent-ish strip but nothing showy. Now that I don't compete in any sport I can work something purely aesthetic, rather than sports specific and functional.

Im also a huge plyometrics fan, theyve done so much fot my vertical leap (social basketballer), I cant actually shoot too well, so its cool to attack the basket knowing that at 5'11/6'0, I still have the hops to dunk on guys six inches taller. Plus theyve really added some pop to my punches as a boxer!
