Brook vs Alexander Off, Again
Looks that way according to sources from the Daily Express and Boxingscene.
Kell might have done his foot again. Poor guy man. Been waiting months and months for this one, he's losing all his momentum that Eddie built up too, his fan base and what not. Nightmare.

Re: Brook vs Alexander Off, Again
Should lose his mandatory position. I wonder if he will cry for sympathy when he mocked Devon when he got injured.
Alexander needs to move on

Re: Brook vs Alexander Off, Again
Eddie Hearn just confirmed injury/treatment on Twitter but not that the fight was off.
Just 'more news to follow'....

Re: Brook vs Alexander Off, Again
Nobody cares about these 2.
Brook was taken to the trenches by that Asda bag packer Jones.
Alexander isnt exactly the best fighter on earth, let alone in the LWW/WW division (i think he rates behind Garcia, Bradley, Matthysse, Peterson, Marquez, Khan, Pacquiao ) so who cares?
The only reason Brook has chosen Alexander is because he is the poorest fighter out there in that division (champion wise).
Brook should move on and fight someone else.
Interest = Gone.

Re: Brook vs Alexander Off, Again
Its because Hearn has his index finger up the (ahem) of the head of the IBF
Frampton, Brook, Froch, Purdy.....
Just like Warren with the WBO

Re: Brook vs Alexander Off, Again
MM you rating him behind guys who haven't fought at WW?
Sadly this tells Brook/Hearn will want a tune up fight before going for a title again. He's been out of the ring for a while now and it's no good going in to your biggest fight with ring rust.

Re: Brook vs Alexander Off, Again
Unfortunately Hampo i have no choice. Bradley fights between the 2 weights. Matthyssee and Khan can easily fight there in the near future. Pacquiao is the WBC Diamond holder at WW, Marquez has fought there and Garcia could step up later potentially.
I still feel that Alexander can come down, but the reason he can not is a load of BS.
He would be battered by either of the fighters I have mentioned and Brook is no better at the moment (judging by his fight with Jones).
Either way, id rather see Brook fight someone else now.
Its getting boring.

Re: Brook vs Alexander Off, Again
Trouble is Mobile, it's taken Brook THIS long to get a shot at the titke and now you want him to jack it all in and essentially work his way into contention again?
As that nice lady on YouTube says , "Ain't nobody got time fo' dat!"

Re: Brook vs Alexander Off, Again
haha!
True Dave, but with the amount of time this fight has taken to actually happen, he could have fought a couple of big names and risen his stock some more.
May have given him a bit of leverage in talks over a fight with a belt holder so to speak.
For example if he had fought Maidana and then Berto or someone, he could then try and put in some demands at the table (Home advantage, more money).
At the moment, with him waiting around for months on end for one fight (all be it a title fight) he isnt rising at all and is a waste really.

Not his fault though mobile is it. Why risk a berto for example in a none title fight. Lose and where dies he go. Tough on him if its cancelled again.

Re: Brook vs Alexander Off, Again
Brook brings absolutely zero to the table and hat is why he'd struggle to tempt the likes of Maidana and Berto into the ring.

Re: Brook vs Alexander Off, Again
I'd love for the division to start a super six tournament but I guess nonsense like this is exactly the reason not to.
Its frustrating for sure if the fight is off but what can anyone do? Devon needs to find a new decent opponenet and Brook needs to get on the mend before fighting somone half decent over here. Then start again.

Re: Brook vs Alexander Off, Again
Which ASDA store do you lot visit? Every supermarket I go to involves my buying my own shopping and packing it myself! Wasn't aware I worked there...for free!TRUSSMAN66 wrote:mobilemaster8 wrote:Nobody cares about these 2.

Next time they ask if you want a hand packing your bags, say "Yes please" and check out the look of utter contempt they give you.
What's even worse is that occasionally they have a load of cub scouts doing the packing and you've got to pay them a quid THEN go sit down and repack everything cos the idiots have put your bread at the bottom of the bag and 20 cans of lager on top of it!!!!!!!

Re: Brook vs Alexander Off, Again
i really hope this isn't the case, brook has earned his title shot so should be able to fight for it when he's fit, alexander may not be a huge draw, but he has decent wins on his record and holds a title, so brook needs to keep him firmly in his sights.
