Adios London Welsh!
First topic message reminder :
Well,the dream is over.
'twas always going to be a tough ask without the points reduction.Shame really. Not sure how many games Henson managed,it didn't seem to be many.
Are they back to Old Deer Park or are they sticking with Oxford?
Best wishes to Newcastle!

ODP is part of the Royal Estate and you'd have about as much chance of developing anything on it as you'd have of turning Kensington Palace into a housing assocation block of flats. Also of course unless things have changed the Crown Estate is exempt from the legal process so even if LW got permission from Richmond council to develop the ground Queenie could still say no.

Great respect to the LW players who has nothing to do with this, however I am dissapointed that Kelvin Bryon appears to be pulling the plug on the team basically in a fit of "taking my ball home", the RFU apparently hate him and he can't understand why the RFU/PRL insist on wanting England qualifed players in an English side if he wants to get additional funding as he appears to want Welsh ones.
Would he be better taking advantage of the unique status of LW as members of the WRO and RFU and asking to join the Robocop as the fifth region - they would need very little in the way of WRU funding and would get decent crowds when the Irish and Welsh came to town.
Kelvin Bryon sacrificed a huge amount for London Welsh, because he loves the club and loves rugby. The "taking my ball home" idea is not a fair comment for a man that has done much for the club and has kept them from going bankrupt for many a year. I think at this stage for him, enough is enough, he has been let down badly by the clowns who are running the club(as have players and supporters). He is not Abramhavic(sp?), should he just bankrupt himself paying for others ineptitude.
The RFU/PRL(not just them, most governing bodies) probably dont like anyone who isnt a politician.
Re the Rabo idea, dont know if they would be allowed to do that, but could be a good idea.
