Summer Tours... Empty Summer Tours...

Post by sirBiggles Mon 29 Apr 2013, 2:28 pm

Just been using Google to see if the Japan v Wales games are being televised, thought S4C may have picked them up, but only thing I could find was ESPN..

http://www.espnscrum.com/scrum/rugby/match/fixtures/international.html

Their fixture timetable says they are covering

Sat 8 New Zealand v France, Auckland
Sat 8 Japan v Wales, Osaka
Sat 8 Argentina v England, Salta
Sat 8 United States of America v Ireland, Houston

Sat 15 New Zealand v France, Addington
Sat 15 Japan v Wales, Tokyo

... plus othes...

Anyone know if this is fact or ESPN's way of getting subscriptions and then we find out its just highlights or match reports...

I've bitten the bullet and subscribed to Sky Sports for the Lions, would like to see the Wales games, but not going to subscribe to ESPN as well. This is getting silly...

Anyone know if S4C will show the whole game, even if it is later in the night...

Cheers GF, that was going to be a last option for me. However, I hate streaming games, because I spend ages following links that promise the game, only to find another Ad, link or pay to watch link, and when I find one, it starts to buffer or lose connection at vital times. That is why I ended up paying for Sky Sports in the end... But I'm not paying for ESPN as well, so it may come down to finding a live stream.

Nowadays you can do a one off payment on Now tv for a day pass to get sky sports. Don't know how that works for ESPN though.

EE, that's true but it costs the same for a day pass as it does to up your subscription for a month... Appreciate you have to be a Sky TV subscriber to upgrade to Sports, so I guess Now TV is aimed to those who have Freeview and not Sky. But a one day pass for the same as 30 days, doesnt seem that good a value to me..
