Bowling is definitely Englands strong point and the batting is becoming more consistent where starting to come up with a very impressive side.

England's bowlers are successful in English/NZ/SA conditions. They need to work on being more successful on flat pitches. Then they became an all round package.

What a pity Simon Jones never really recovered from his injuries. If he was at his 2005 level that would make the line-up even more impressive.

I think in terms of seam bowling, with their stregth in depth I believe England are the best in the world. Looking at the guys mentioned:
Anderson: 212 wickets @ 31
Broad: 99 wickets @ 35 - both these guys averages are on their way down.
Finn: 46 wickets @ 26
Tremlett: 30 wickets @ 26
Shahzad: ok he's only played one test (4 wickets @ 15)
Bresnan: 25 wickets @ 28
Woakes: hasn't played a test yet but has 191 first class wickets @ 24
Onions: 28 wickets @ 31

As I was saying, Keep an eye on Meaker - four wickets again today. And Dernbach took five. Dernbach probably more likely to make it in limited overs I would say.

Re: England test seamers.
Meaker probably has the potential to be the fastest of any of those mentioned, if he isn't already. Something England have lacked for a while is genuine out and out pace so this is exciting. I've been particularly encouraged by Woakes' start to the season with bat and ball. Things definitely looking good in the seam bowling department.
Edit: For anyone interested, check out Meaker's last 3 wickets from today, it looks seriously quick! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9_nGLcK-QA&feature=youtu.be

Agree with that England need pace in there side which they haven't had since Freddie retired with only Broad and Tremlett getting into the 90s.One of the only things Englands lacking at the moment.
Re: England test seamers.
Meaker may be fast, but is he good enough? Mahmood was fast...
Our fast bowling stock probably isn't that good compared to some of the teams of the 80s and 90s, but in the present day, it's probably the best group in the world.
Anderson, Broad, Finn, Tremlett, Bresnan, Shahzad, Onions, Woakes.
Looks pretty good Lacks the x-factor of a Steyn or an in-form Johnson, but as a group, not sure anyone can match them at present.

Re: England test seamers.
Meaker showed signs of promise last season with several good performances, but it's really only this season that he now looks to be an automatic selection for the Surrey team. But if he keeps up anything like this rate of progress he could come into the reckoning for England.
