British and Irish Lions vs Australia July 14th, 2001: The Decider.
It is the final test, the showdown, and both teams are desperate to win this one.
It is the 17th minute, the Lions have a scrum 5 meters out and attacks the open side, ball is taken close, Wilkinson decides the attack must go to the short side and he feeds Wood who draws a man and feed the loosehead prop Smith who sends Jason Robinson into the corner for the try. Slick hands by two front rowers there.
It is the 38th minute, Australia have gone through multiple phases, Gregan feeds Herbert on the short side, he passes to Walker who has no space, he passes inside to Roff who gets the ball bak to Herbert who scores the try, some great hands by Australia and good special awareness.
At the 42 minute mark, after multiple phases and sustained pressure by the Lions, Wilkison spots a gap from 5 meters out and crosses the goal line.
In the 49th minute, Australia has a line out, they break through and pulls the defences, a huge overlap and the blind side sends Daniel Herbert over the tryline.
The culmination of this series, in the final minute the Lions are on attack, they throw passes all over the place, in open play the ball is knocked by and Australian player, the Lions loses possession and the game is over.
Perhaps it was their desperation, but if they set up a ruck and stayed patient they could have won this game.

Time means this isn't quite as bad for me as Ronan's balls up in 2009 but still... Really should have won that series, it was such a strong Lions squad.
