If Christian had never left TNA
This was something I'd been thinking about before all the stuff in the last week but I was wondering where Christian would be if he never left TNA
He was set to be the leader of the Frontline and the main man to go up against the MEM which make me think he may have a got a title reign somewhere in that story, especially as the MEM was disbanding. I feel he would have got AJs reign in 2009-10 (though probably not gained Flair as a mentor).
With all the guys that have come in since Christian left, I think he would be in about the same position in TNA as he is in WWE now, mid card with perhaps the odd main event. I don't think he would be ahead of Sting RVD or Anderson and he would be at abou the same level as Matt Morgan.
Anyway, I was wanting to know what you guys thought and for extra credit whether he would be higher up the card in TNA if he jumped ship now or if he never left them a couple of years ago?

Re: If Christian had never left TNA
If Christian was granted release of his contract today then on the first TNA taping after the 6th of August he would be TNA World Champion.
I’m 100% certain of that fact.

I agree with Hobo.
He was brilliant at TNA and I am surprised he made the jump so soon.

Re: If Christian had never left TNA
I disagree im afraid. I think he'd find it tough to be World Champion in TNA. When he was Champion in TNA he was one of the first WWE guys to jump ship and was one of the biggest names on the roster and they couldnt believe this huge WWE guy was on their roster so it was almost impossible not to make him the champion. But now with Angle, Anderson, Van Dam, Hardy and Sting on the card i personally dont believe that Christian would automatically get the title. Fair enough he might get it in the end but it wouldnt be as clear cut as his first run in TNA

I'm with Mr H, like I said I think his role in TNA would be to be stuck in entertaining but pointless feuds that don't go anywhere, he'd probably get a token reign when he initially came back but then slip down the card

Re: If Christian had never left TNA
People tend to forget that Christian spent most of his last year in TNA as a jobber to the stars and a good chunk of that stuck in an awful tag team with Rhino, he was then used to put Booker T and the Legends title over before being written off TV about two months before his contract was up, he was hardly well used in his last year

Re: If Christian had never left TNA
but if he went back now and won, that would make him a 5 (?) time world champ. (the other 4 being ECW, TNA twice and WWE)
Re: If Christian had never left TNA
My reasoning is that TNA would desperately love to have the IWC onboard, they clamour for the older fan but don’t have two brain cells to rub together to work out how to get them, whilst WWE simply don’t care less what the IWC think, actually scrub that, I think they actually enjoy pushing the IWC’s buttons.
If Christian was made available, TNA would bend over backwards to try and show the IWC that they are an alternative to WWE by having him go over whoever was champ at the time.
Then they’d open the following show by turning him heel and face in the space of 5 minutes before have him involved in a 6 way feast or fired match with Braden Walker, Matt Hardy, Suicide, Angelina Love Zombie, Gunner and Orlando Johnson (yes I know that’s 7) whilst Hogan interrupts and Ric Flair blades.

He won the ECW Title twice, once off Swagger and once off Dreamer
