Return of Big Brad Thorn
NZ allegedly have a locking crisis with Ali Williams retiring and Sam Whitelock injured.
Interested to see that they have named Nother open side flanker in the squad for France with some token rubbish that a flanker can cover lock (they can't, especially against France).
While they wait for Canturbury to clone up another Whitelock, and given his spectacular display for the Highlanders against Auckland yesterday when he was hitting every ruck like a 20 year old, what chance of Big Brad Thorn lacing up the black boots again as a stop gap?

Why would the All-Blacks want a Stop-Gap for a Tour predominantly designed to build for the future?

It's France (who still need to be put back in their box after their cheeky attempt at actually winning the last WC!).... and therefore the future can wait?

Because for NZ winning always comes first, and building second. They can't afford to lose - especially at home - especially to France.

Calm down guys we've got Retallick and Romano so we just need a couple of reserves. Thrush isn't much good but he'll be alright for 15 minutes a game.
