Your second favourite international team?
First topic message reminder :
As the title suggests I'm interested to see who your second favourite international team is and why. Couple of rules, a) you can't have relatives in that country or B) have spent significant time in that country. I'll go first.
Team - Samoa
Reason - Whenever I watch them I always imagine that's how a team of battle hungry warriors would play when preparing for a big conflict. They also make me glad I never played the game and instead remained a spectator. They're mad as a box of frogs and twice as entertaining!

That's true Guns. The Ireland/Wales games often seem intense affairs these days with their fair share of controversy.

Cyril like nottins of old copy and pasting peoples comments leaving a smart ass comment but not once answered the OP or added any value to the thread whilst the mods never give him any pointers!Cyril on 606v2 wrote:That's true Guns. My second team is NZ because they are the epitome of rugby.

Apart from Wales I've always followed Los Pumas due to a family connection. Having said that, I've never met a person in Argentina with even a passing interest in rugby.
NH I'd go Italy, always got the best tops haven't they?

When my bro was touring South America he found massive recognition of the ABs in Argentina. He even got me a replica ABs top there.

Eh? I've already answered the OP way up the thread. I was agreeing with Guns that Ireland/Wales games have a certain frission about them these days. Where is the smart ass comment.viewtothegym wrote:Cyril like nottins of old copy and pasting peoples comments leaving a smart ass comment but not once answered the OP or added any value to the thread whilst the mods never give him any pointers!Cyril on 606v2 wrote:That's true Guns. Why are you trying to start an argument?

View you'd have to admit that there have been some real Ireland v wales belters recently with some added spice on occasion.

Re: Your second favourite international team?
Second Favourite side is New Zealand because when they want you they want to demoralise you, ridicule you, crush you, humiliate you. When they have you on the rack they don't have sympathy...and they don't care how much of a minnow you are
I'm generally an empathetic kind of guy but not in rugby. If you have the force to destroy an opponent's very soul - then do so. It'll pay didvidends in omenous reputation.

I sort of support Scotland, Canada and to a lesser extent Australia and Italy through family connection. Suppose I should support Ireland through the girlfriend, but it's more fun to not do so. I used to love the Fiji of old, but they are far less adept at their giant-felling beautiful backs stuff nowadays

Weirdly, I once saw a Cardiff Blues away shirt in a store in Mendoza, among the hundreds of Boca, River and Godoy Cruz shirts. I'd hazard a guess that the rugby championship is raising the profile of the sport there atm
