Cena/Miz I Quit Match
Doing the rounds that the venue for Over The Limit is reporting that this match will take place.
What a horrendous stipulation if true.
I can see this match going one way only. Miz dominates the match, destroys Cena before Cena locks in the STF & Miz quits.
Is there anything more predictable in this world?

Re: Cena/Miz I Quit Match
I just don't get why the WWE would assume anyone would want to buy a PPV with Cena in that kind of stipulation when Cena has said he doesn't quit and "I'll never quit"
The Miz isn't likely to change that

I'm all for Cena in stipulation matches though instead of standard 1 on 1s

No way, that's exactly the same as last year's Over The Limit with Dave Batista. Perfectic.

Re: Cena/Miz I Quit Match
Pointless stipulation if true.
I was hoping for an Iron Man Match to really end the fued in style, and would keep Miz looking strong as he could still get a few pinfall's over Cena in the match.

An hour of Cena/Miz is probably the worst thing they could do

A 30 minute one would do the trick IMO.
Any other suggestions of a gimmick match for them to end the fued with?

Would go for a simple extreme rules match.

I wouldn't go changing the rules of an Iron Man match just to suit Cena/Miz, if they don't have enough heat to have a real one then they shouldn't have one at all IMO

Re: Cena/Miz I Quit Match
Sticking this match together with that stip makes the match easier to call than an Undertaker Mania match.

A 'Whatever the outcome, Cena loses' match?
Failing that, Tables.

Re: Cena/Miz I Quit Match
Totally agree, Cena/Miz would only go one way anyway so make a stip that favours Miz like a no DQ match that at least allows us to think Cena could get screwed, I'd also like to see a match where Cena is banned from using the AA and STF, it might allow him to pull out a few newer moves

Re: Cena/Miz I Quit Match
yeah I totally agree gaffer the I-Quit stip was used last year at OTL and the match was horrible then - it's just too predictable and Miz has not be built up to be that kind of tenacious, never say die type of character. It's a terrible stipulation for his character. At least you could say Batista was the 'animal'! Besides an I-Quit match in the main event as already stated of the same PPV two years running isn't very creative. I would probably go with a no DQ match.

Triple H has tapped before so I'd substitute him for a face Orton

Re: Cena/Miz I Quit Match
The match happened on an episode of Smackdown that aired on July 4th, 2002 during Undertaker's Undisputed Title reign. Undertaker lifted Kurt Angle for a Last Ride and Angle squeezed him with a triangle choke. Taker lowered him to the ground slowly as he was "going out" from the hold. Angle's shoulders were down and then Taker tapped at the same time the ref hit the mat for the third time. The match was ruled a draw. Angle later claimed that the tapout should take precedence over the pinfall, and that's how Angle was inserted into the main event title match at that year's Vengeance PPV.
So, Undertaker has tapped. It was just at the same time as a pin, resulting in a draw, and during his Biker period when it didn't take too much away from his mysterious invincible aura.

Re: Cena/Miz I Quit Match
Thanks for that Hero wasn't aware of that... Is that the only time? Hardly a clean cut tap was it?

Re: Cena/Miz I Quit Match
Taker also 'tapped' to Punk again tho it was hardly clean, I'm aware Triple H tapped to Cena to be fair, three different times I think but having him say I Quit into the mic would be a completely different prospect, Orton was made to look like such a weak wimp in their I Quit match I wouldn't be so impressed if he did it again

Re: Cena/Miz I Quit Match
This is an awful stipulation makes it predictable. Cena won't quit they have done this before with Cena v Orton/Batista.

Cena ought to quit for once. Give someone else a boost. Bt as a company man, probably wont.
