Who would YOU start against the Wallabies (outside centre)?
The 606v2 Lions Selection Outside Centre
Alright guys!
I figured we could get this going to give us a bit of a heads up on the general consensus of opinions for Lions Test shirts. We'll have a starting XV in no time BUT I am going to leave vote cancelling on so people can change their minds over the next 8 days or so.
Keep the debate honest and punch above the belt.
ps: remember this is not a prediction, it is a "who would YOU select" poll.
So far our team is
Vunipola-Youngs-Jones
Gray-POC (c)
SOB-Heaslip-Tipuric
O'Driscoll
Has looked really good since arriving in Australia and is really benefiting from playing inside some physical guys at 12. He has shown excellent handling and decision making, his defense is top notch. While he is not the quickest over 100 he still is pretty nifty over 40m. In a backline made up of a lot of power his footballing skill could be hugely useful.
Davies
Looks better here than at 12 IMO, he is very agile in terms of running lines and drifts in to space really deceptively making his outside running lines difficult to track in the centre-wing channel. Again his passing is not what it should be and can break down moves on occasion. Excellent defense, good head and brings some muscle to the party too.
Tuilagi
Looks really effective in this position, he ties in defenders from 13 that he doesn't at 12. His decision making isn't quite good enough at 13 IMO and he has been known to take the contact when there are better options outside him.
Ok guys get the debate started and get the votes coming in.
Much love.

I've gone Tuilagi at 12, and would go with O'Driscoll outside him. He has the experience to make the right calls out there, and although he's not my captain I also want his leadership out on the field. I think him and Manu could work really well as a pair and cause problems for the Australian defence.

Re: The 606v2 Lions Selection Outside Centre
I have gone for Davies simply because he plays well with Roberts, Tuilagi is also an injury doubt and BOD is yet to be tested, he has only played against Western Force and Combined County, so although he has looked pretty good the teams he has been playing against are LV Cup standard.
If BOD plays against strong opposition in the next mid week match and plays well I reserve the right to change my choice!
