Will Leigh Halfpenny break the all time international points record?
Quite simply do you think he could achieve this?
- 24 1/2 years old
- Good record of injuries since bulking up to a professional standard, can cope with the physicality
- 294 points so far according to ESPN stats, which i dont believe include the Lions
- In a Wales team arguably on the up/near the top of European rugby with much consistency there
- Has only gained kicking duties around a year ago, 219 points since 2012 six nations
- 219 points in one season is quite astounding, and with his ability to avoid major injury and lack of serious competition for his shirt could we expect such a success from Leigh?

He will certainly break the record for points scored by people under 5 feet height and the size of cumquats.
Otherwise, who knows.
I suppose we should regroup on this in 5 or so years.
In the meantime, he is having a great tour so far.

He certianly has a good chance, Neil Jenkins managed it in a terrible Wales team
He is accurate and kicking from a young age, as long as he stays injury free he could certainly make the top 2 - maybe top if Carter doesn't play much for the ABs going into 2015

No he won't, he's brave but fragile, meaning he will miss games through injury.
Secondly wingers and full backs only play into their late 20's or very early 30's.

I'm pretty sure he hasnt missed a Wales game since he became first choice fulllback against Ireland in the World Cup - with the exception of he Baabaas and Japan tests

Depends how long carter goes on for.... Wales does play a very high risk game in terms of physicality.... Halfpenny throws himself around a lot so injures will happen at some point... Depends how lucky he is too.

I agree, but we've all seem him putting his body on the line and getting knocked senseless, it will catch up to him sooner or later.
