Waste Management Phoenix Open - Scottsdale AZ
An hour's delay (at least) in the starting times for round 1 of the Waste Management Phoenix Open in Scottsdale, Arizona due to frost!
May as well open a thread for this tournament too - if it's as good as the Farmer's Insurance last week I'm sure there will be plenty of comment!
Can Jhonny Vegas get up towards the top of the leaderboard again?

Not directly linked to this event but given the opinions of arizonians doubt they would mind all that much.

Not good to see a potential expansion zone for the pga/lpga tour treated in this way.

I've played in Arizona several times - do go if you get the chance it is very good - and it is not unusual to have frost first thing. Remember being amazed the first time we saw greenkeepers coming in before our 8.30 tee time with balaclavas covered in frost! within 10 minutes we were shorts and tee shirts looking for shade. It is just the extremes of the desert - very hot and very cold - but overall fantastic. Out there again in a couple of months and really looking forward to it.

Navy - sounds crazy doesn't it - but in the new world we will all be into waste!! Years ago I played in a football team and we got a new assistant manager - he told us his day job was in effluent! never could take him seriously!!

Just watching a bit of it - have Ryan Moore and Badly Drawn Boy ever been seen in the same room together? I think not!

Taken from THE TOUR REPORT - http://tourreport.pgatour.com/category/tournaments/waste-management-phoenix-open/
Going to be a busy weekend of Waste Management!
Everyone who played in the "morning" wave was able to complete his round. The farthest anyone got in the afternoon half of the draw was nine holes and the final threesomes to tee off had played just two when play was suspended at 6:02 p.m. local (8:02 ET). Mindful of a similar situation on Friday morning after overnight temperatures that are expected to dip into the mid-20s, tournament officials opted to resume the first round at 9:30 a.m. MT (11:30 ET).
That's nearly two hours later than Thursday's first tee times. Once the first round has been completed, the second round will resume as quickly as possible so there will be a very short turnaround for some players. And the possibility exists that some of the players who managed to complete the first round on Thursday might not play at all on Friday. Particularly if Mother Nature intervenes again.

They are saying on the Golf Channel there will definitely be a Monday finish. Evidently, many golfers won't start their second round until Saturday.

Play resuming in about 30 minutes time with the final group still having 5 holes to play.
Mark Wilson with a two shot lead over Vijay who has already completed his round and Tommy 2 gloves
Can anyone see Wilson throwing this away? Not sure I can...

Re: Waste Management Phoenix Open - Scottsdale AZ
Wilson has 1 win this year already and that funnily enough happened to be in a weather affected event meaning a 36hole final day.
He has learnt how to win as has a swing that looks more trusty than Tommy 2 gloves. But that said Tommy's swing is obviously functional and works for him so he may be able to battle back to the top.
I like scotsdale the finishing 4 holes are set up for an interesting finish as they can all be attacked so if the leader plays it to safe like Fowler did last year he can be passed as they are all birdie holes 2 of them possible eagles!
