Based on the current landscape you have to go with Cena, Brock hasn't impressed me a huge deal since his return

I'm not a huge Cena hater, I think he's pretty good in the role he's given, but I'm a massive Brock mark, to say he hasn't been booked well since his return is an understantment, but the guys a killer, he's like Ken Shamrock x10, very good in the ring, and he plays his character really well, he's also perfuctionary on the mic, shame his voice sounds ridiculous

That said I don't recall Brock ever being Hardcore champion, who would have taken it off him?!!

What?
I think he's one of the few things in WWE that I still feel genuinely excited about, I have watched shows just in the hope that he'll turn up. He looks legitimately tough, he plays his character to perfection and since his return has had some really good matches. Cena has been very poor recently.

The fact that we know Brock Lesnar is legitimately tough is such a boost for him, he went to UFC and beat the hell out of professional fighters so when you see him losing it in the ring...he's actually intimidating.
His voice doesn't exactly work but then look at Mike Tyson haha

I actually think that it works in his favour a bit, his voice being so weird, it means the character has been developed in such a way that he doesn't even need to speak. Lesnar is presented as seeing himself as bigger than the WWE, he just wants to fight and whoever Heyman puts in front of him will do. It's perfect.
The lack of appearances actually works, unlike with The Rock, as it only adds to the character and creates a great aura around him and you know it's a big deal when he turns up, but isn't so banged up like Undertaker.

My favorite Lesnar moment of recent times actually wasn't any of his ass kicking but his selling during the cage match with HHH, despite my reservations with the actual match and how they played on the injury, Lesnar sold that like HBK in his pomp, for a guy who could coast by on reputation and has probably enough in the bank where he need never work again, he shows a real work ethic whenever he appears

I agree, I actually thought match was really good, although it was received fairly poorly by most, I thought he sold the injury well. He looked hurt but always capable of coming back, which I thought was the perfect way to book the match.
Lesnar, again unlike The Rock, doesn't appear to have phoned in on any of his appearances. He gets really into his character.

Helps that hes playing a cool character. The Rock had a role to play, a role that people find phony so as such he'll get slated. But thats the role and I for one thought he did it perfectly.
Brock is clearly one of the best managed characters in the company. They dont make him do unnecessary things, he could have had better feuds but theres a certain amount of mistrust that might have just had him put in his place a little bit. This run will make him Hall of Fame worthy in my eyes. Gonna have feuded with some giants.
That being said, didnt think the injury thing was that great in the cell. Thought it was a little over the top and the vocal selling was ridiculous.

Based on now or based on their overall career? In both scenario's I go with Cena.
