England Captaincy succession still on target - year 2035
Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall expecting first baby.
The Queen's granddaughter Zara Phillips and rugby player Mike Tindall are expecting their first baby in the new year, Buckingham Palace has said.
The couple married at Canongate Kirk, in Edinburgh, in July 2011.
The birth will follow the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's baby, which is due this month.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: "Mr and Mrs Mike Tindall are very pleased to announce that Zara Tindall is expecting a baby in the new year."
It said the couple's parents, the Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, and Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall, and members of both families were "delighted".

Biltong, in my country we also allow the women to play.
Btw: Wiki on womens rugby:
"The current world champions, and the most successful team, are New Zealand."
So maybe at current rate of equality progression, our men will play the lady Kiwis by 2035, and our women (capt Ms Tindall) the NZ men.

Doesn't matter if its a girl anyway - England Captains are selected based upon intangibles, like leadership, work rate and poshness. The child's sex would only impact how well they would be able to play international rugby, which isn't relevant to a captaincy decision in england.

Great ball handling and giving constant directions to blokes are also key skills required, so lets not rule out the ladies.

I'd have Lord Lucan at 13 because not unlike all England's centres of the last 10 years he tends to go missing quite a lot.

Baby Tindall (if a boy) could play outside England's new Flyhalf, Harry Evans and some of the Billy Whizz kids

Perhaps those with royal blood will be ideal rugby players, ok so they marry their cousins and swim at the marinas trench of the gene pool.... but then again which countries are currently dominating rugby... Wales & NZ... perhaps its a good thing?

As League only separated from Rugby in 1895, she'd probably just be confused!
