Ask Enzo
Just received a bit of exciting news for v2.
Enzo Calzaghe is now becoming a permanent fixture on the v2 boxing podcast.
He has asked us if he could come on once a month for a regular feature that we are calling "ask Enzo"
This is a great coup for us and hopefully you will all join in by asking some great questions each month whether its about the current crop of fighters or about Enzo himself.
So if you have a question, please post it below or preferably (as in please try) on the v2journal - http://v2journal.com/16/post/2013/07/ask-enzo.html
Thanks!

Re: Ask Enzo
What were your immediate thoughts when IJL stopped your fight with McKenzie?
Who has been the best fighters you've faced off against, and who hits the hardest?
You have unfortunately been on the end of some pretty bad Ko's, do you ever worry for your health?
What would you view as your best performance and how much of an influence did your namesake, Enzo Calzaghe have on the way you fought.

When we get Enzo Mac on, I will make sure to ask him!
Even though its the wrong Enzo, I do appreciate the fact that you have asked sensible questions!
Re: Ask Enzo
Enzo's always good for a quote.
Is he still doing much training? Any prospects coming through?
Any reason he stopped having the phenomenal success he enjoyed? 2007 trainer of the year awards from many bodies, etc
Ask him about his other life as a muso.

Re: Ask Enzo
I dunno how much he could elaborate on this, but would appreciate it being asked:- did he ever feel that Joe stood still/stagnated for too much of his career and could/should have been getting bigger fights sooner? And was it JC himself, or ol' Fisheyes who stopped those fights from happening?

When Joe was knocked down by Byron Mitchell, how worried were you as it was his first professional knockdown?

Re: Ask Enzo
Did being in Joe's corner create a conflict of interests between trainer / parent. Do you think you would still be training cleverly if things hadnt went sour with frank. How good is cleverly?
Has Joe ever been tempted to break his retirement?
How do you rate ward?
What do you think of both haye and fury and the up coming fight?

Have you met Adam in person? Is he as big a plonker as hampo makes out?

Re: Ask Enzo
You put lockett in with pavlik why not Joe? It seemed they were incredibly keen. Joe could of made a fortune an boosted his legacy rather than giving all that glory to Hopkins.

Na, just having a laugh at Adams expense. No verification on booths credentials as a plonker required.

Re: Ask Enzo
This coming week, Enzo will once again be answering your questions.
So please let us have some questions for him - you can ask anything but please do note we wont forward any offensive ones!

Re: Ask Enzo
Do you think Joe would have been better breaking off with Warren earlier and directing his own career........??
Do you think Joe is the best British fighter since WW2..the war where America saved the British from speaking German from now till the end of time...??
Do you like meatballs..........??

Do you think if Joe went to America to fight earlier on in his career he would if turned out very obese and arrogant?

Re: Ask Enzo
Ask him why he suddenly didn't believe in rematches after the Hopkins fight. Did he agree with Bunce that Hopkins tried to coast after winning the early rounds easily, and that Joe would be big underdog in a rematch

Re: Ask Enzo
Enzo always struck me as someone who perhaps got lucky with his fighters. Whipped them up into great shape but tactics wise I don't feel he offered anything really. Not sure if you can put that comment/question to him but would be interesting to hear is response.

I've always thought trainers were overrated..........All the best fighters are naturals..

Anyway in fairness kudos to Enzo for being willing to give up his time for the forum.......Respect for that !!
Hope he lasts longer than Lockett on 606 bbc.........when Dave667 got stuck into him and we never saw him again........
