New Bandwagon - Federico DelBonis
DelBo (the next Argentine Del Boy?) takes Federer () out in two close TB sets. Federer missed quite a few chances.
From Qualifier to Finalist. Very nicely done.
Federer has more work to do in Gstaad.

Re: New Bandwagon - Federico DelBonis
Well well ......
If we hadn't been softened up by last month's SW19 exit, this would have been an even bigger surprise than it already is. Stakhovsky was ranked 116, and now Delbonis has his moment in the sun at 114.
The maestro went for what seemed an eternity without ever being troubled by anyone outside the top 100 (or even top 50 ...?) and suddenly two such losses within the space of a month
Doubt he will be overly-troubled by it, but will be interesting nonetheless to hear his own assessment.

That's not a bad collection of scalps this tournament. Robredo, Tursunov, Verdasco and Federer would be impressive on any surface but on clay that's great work. Yes, jump on the Delbonis bandwagon!!

Amazing how things can suddenly come together for a player. He's had an ok season but nothing to suggest he was going to be in the final of a 500. Very interesting final.

Yep, he does have a certain something about him, this guy from Switzerland. He did well to make the semis and I can see him ending his career with a fair few clay titles to his name, who knows ....maybe even the biggest one of all

I hope DelBo wins the title, but Fognini is looking at a back-to-back title as well. In either case, it would be good to see a nice three-setter. Come On DelBo, you can do it.
