Elphick4Justice vs Dos Cerevezas por favor
- Elphick4Justice:
- right lads, 1 more chance, due to some idiots who commit but dont do, the league is being re-booted, this is our last chance to be together, we plkay a prem team but it means nought, we play to our strengths and our game and we can come out on top.
--------------------Foster----------------
Liestchiner-----Hummells---Cahill-----Jones
--------------Paulinho---Matic------------
Aubameyang---------Thiago--------Texeira
-------------------Fred------------------
GK - No Heroics, do your job, play safe and play sensible, look to retain possesion when distributing the ball.
FB, mainly defesive lockon to the wide men and mark them stick to them, dont let them have any space and time wide and shut down there service, sit back mostly due to attacking winegrs but break forward on occasion.
CB, If 1 striker,Hummells will man mark, get into him and get tough, let him know your in control, Cahill willpick u the pieces or mark any oncoming attackers, if 2 up front play zonal .
DM, Matic will sit back, mark any attacking mid, try to take him out the game and stop service to and from him, look to play the ball out, Paulinho will burst box to box, defensive wise he will scurry around getting in the face of the mdifeidlers , attacking link up with thiago look to burst into the box and link up with all 4 more attacking players.
AM, move around link up and move, sit in a gap and dictate the play look to pass it through to the wingers or 1-2 with Fred, if they mna mark you with a DM, drop deeper and outnumber them there, look to spray the ball about, burst into the box occasionly and attack the CBs creating room for others.
W, attacking take on your man or cut inside, whip in balls for fred or take on the CBs, use your pace torun around people, look to test their keeper, do come back and help defend when required tho.
ST, target man, hold it up nad bring oher into play, then get into scoring positions, watch for crosses, shoot from ragne if nessecary.

Injuries: Oriol Romeu, Robert LewandowskiVicente Guaita (SPA)
Pablo Zabaleta – Pepe – Nemanja Vidic – Gael Clichy
Javi Martinez (SPA) – Fernandinho
Willian – Hernanes – Iker Muniain (SPA)
Samuel Eto’o
Subs: Andres Prieto (SPA), Daniel Agger, Sebastien Corchia, Gael Bigirimana, Borja Valero (SPA), Shinji Kagawa, Alvaro Morata (SPA)
So this is it. Semi final of the tournament to crown a winner. We are missing Lewandowski but for once we have the rest of our strongest side fully fit, and we have brought in Eto’o to keep us strong upfront. It is imperitive we win this match and emphasise the difference between the Premier League and the Championship. We know E4J will be tough to beat, for all the criticisms of Cherries he has some strong players and very good technical players. I want us to control the tempo and possession, force E4J to chase us around and tire them out. With the midfield two and AM trio we have the tools to really hurt E4J.
Guaita, command your area, distribute the ball sensibly to the fullbacks or CM’s, stay in communication throughout and stay big for any one on ones.
Zabaleta/Clichy, one thing E4J have is pace out wide. You are both very capable of getting the better of the likely wingers of Teixeira and Aubameyang. Force them outside then block the cross at source. When in possession, use the ball wisely and link with the wingers ahead of you.
Pepe/Vidic, I expect you to be able to handle Bony comfortably, but only if you’re on top of your game. I want Pepe to be the man marker, stay very close to Bony and keep him back to goal, and away from the area. The further Bony drops deep, the less effective he is. If Fred plays alongside him, Vidic to be the marker, force Fred to either be offside or drop deep. Similar to Bony, he is ineffective outside the penalty area.
Martinez/Fernandinho, If Thiago plays as an AM, I expect Martinez to sit at DM and wait for him, don’t track him as if he drops deep it will leave space in behind for someone like Paulinho capitalising on the space. Fernandinho to be box to box, track Paulinho if he bursts forward but also force him back by you getting forward. If he doesn’t track you, you’ll be in space and able to link with the AM’s. In possession, keep the ball and keep the E4J players chasing.
Hernanes, our main AM but I want you to drag their DM out of position, leave space for Willian or Muniain cutting inside. Either by dropping deep or getting into advanced positions. I’m not going to patronise you, you know what to do in possession. Keep the ball moving and keep the E4J players chasing possession. Grind them down, and link the play between the midfielders, wingers and Eto’o.
Willian/Muniain, cut inside, push outside. Keep the fullback guessing. Swap wings on occasion and when in advanced positions, look to link with Eto’o and Hernanes. Pass, shoot or cross, depending on the situation. Both of you have the pace and trickery to cause E4J problems so I expect a good performance from both of you.
Eto’o, our lone striker. A different type of striker to Lewandowski but still very capable of playing alone upfront. Spin the centre back, find the gap between the two. If you’re double marked, drop out wide and drag both CB’s with you. This will leave massive space in behind for any one of Willian, Muniain, Hernanes and Fernandinho to burst into. When you have a chance, shoot on sight, you’re a clinical finisher and natural goalscorer but you’ll need to be on form to fire us to the final.
---------------------------------
Subs 70 mins:
If winning: Hernanes off, Bigirimana on. Bigi comes on as a second DM, we switch to 4-5-1 with Willian and Muniain helping out but when we have the ball join Eto’o and counter attack.
If drawing: Fernandinho and Hernanes off, Valero and Kagawa on. Same system, different personnel to try something different and force the win.
If losing: Vidic and Martinez off, Kagawa and Morata on. Change to 3-2-3-2 with Fernandinho and Hernanes the CM’s, Kagawa to AM and Morata upfront with Eto’o. Push for goals and overcommit as nothing to lose.

VFL Bassender vs Dos Cerevezas por favor
- VFL Bassender:
------------------------------Neuer------------------------------

--------------------Bender-------------Alonso--------------------
-----------Menez-------------Pastore-------------Schurrle--------
---------------------------Ibrahimovic---------------------------
BENCH

Cambiasso

Barnetta

TACTICS
We need to go out and win today. No alternative. We should go on the attack early on. We have a feeling they will go with a diamond, and if that's the case then kill them down the flanks.
DEFENSE
Caceres and Barzagli are both great at tackling and should look to do just that, shackle the guy on the ball. Caceres dives in with Barzagli sneaking in behind. We can play a fairly high line today, Higuain and Soldado aren't the quickest. We need a solid back four with the offside trap, this should stifle their entire play higher up the field, giving them little room to work in. Monreal and Piszczek should look to deal with the wingers first, this may be Oxlade Chamberlain and Villa. Villa in particular should be forced outwide, he is at his most dangerous cutting in, so instead make him go way out of the way where he can't shoot. Bender and Alonso need to shield the back four, Isco must not be allowed time on the ball and should be taken out. Provide the protection forming a solid base. Menez and Schurrle must help out defensively today helping out with the attacking threat of the full backs, and Pastore should also limit their deep-lying playmaker's time on the ball. Don't let him have the time to pick out constant passes.
ATTACK
Piszczek and Monreal should get forward when possible, the former in particular should try to 'undercut' Menez tricking Baines. Schurrle should get right infield as much as possible, get into the box, take shots. Generally when we get possession we should patient, we have three players in the middle who can pass a ball, and should do just that. They may play their diamond system and if they do we need to exploit them out wide. Double up on them. Pastore should roam in the final third, drift left (swap places with Schurrle at times - difficult to man-mark) and be our playmaker. Ibrahimovic should be his usual self upfront, great physically and with his technique. Take long range shots, try something spectacular. Bully their defenders into mistakes. Have a go at De Gea and test him with set pieces and crosses physically.
SET PIECES
Left Corner - Schurrle
Right Corner - Piszczek
Free Kicks - Ibrahimovic
Penalites - Ibrahimovic
SUBSTIUTIONS
If winning bring on Moutinho and Cambiasso for Alonso and Pastore. Move to a more defensive 4-3-3 with fresh legs in midfield.
If drawing bring on Moutinho for Alonso, add more bite to midfield.
If losing bring on Ocampos and Moutinho for Alonso and Bender, move Schurrle upfront with Ibrahimovic, Pastore and Moutinho central, Ocampos on the left in an attacking line up.

Team Talk: So here we are. Two games until the reboot happens but what a journey its been, we have evolved from the side that dominated season 1 to one which few can argue against being one of the strongest ever assembled in these leagues. Lets finish off our Spanish delights with a dominant win in these final two games. With Nasri and Lavezzi out we've gone 4-4-2 Diamond. They have a great squad too but are not without weaknesses. We will pack the middle with Witsel and Khedira as the engine, Isco as the little genius and our two super strikers up front. Carrick to sit and play as our true DCM. Lets win and win well to set up a final against the old Spanish enemy.
de Gea - You are the best keeper in the league, prove that today! Clean sheet essential
Ivanović/Baines - It will be Schurrle and Menez, Menez is a player we know well. Baines, send him inside where he is far less effective. On the other side Ivanović to send Schurrle out wide where he is less effective. If we nullify these two then we can make our lives a lot easier. Defending is the key today.
Garay/Chiellini - Chiellini to mark Ibra, rough him up and throw him off his game. Garay to then sweep, I'm not expecting a CAM but they could play Pastore in there. Aid Cheillini when you can. Keep things simple.
Carrick - If Pastore plays then stick to him, if not then pick up Moutinho as he gets forward. Keep it simple and look for Witsel/Khedira or Alonso. No heroics today. Work with Garay/Chiellini to ensure we don't conceed
Khedira/Witsel - Engine room for both of you today, go box to box and drive us forward. When they have the ball look to form a trio with Carrick in front of our back four and pick up any players going box to box for them. As soon as we get the ball get forward and give us an option. If you see an option to drive out wide then do
Isco - It will be Alonso who isn't as mobile as he once used to be with this in mind drift around and keep them guessing. I want you to link our attacks together, play through our deadly duo/play in Witsel and Khedira or just do it yourself! You have been our Golden Star for all three seasons.
Soldado/Higuaín - You are our deadly duo and they are unlikely to be prepared to face both of you today, Soldado to utilise his great movement and drag their defence all over the shop. I'd imagine it will be Bonucci and Barzagli against the pair of you so keep them guessing. Higuaín to drive into this room and blaze past them. You are the perfect partnership up front.
---
Corners - Witsel - Carrick and Baines to stay back, Khedira to lurk. Aim for the big heads of Ivanović, Garay and Chiellini
Freekicks - Indirect - Isco
Freekicks - Direct - Baines
Penalties - Baines

Re: Playoffs
Grand total of 3 votes at this stage, and one of the games is effectively a result decided by one person.
How about I set up some sort of it's a knockout style competition where the four of you run hilarious assault courses to be declared the overall winner?*
*I have neither the time nor inclination to do this

Cherries, if you read between the lines on my last post here...actually, scrap that, if you just read my post, you'd be able to work out that the number is between 48 and 100.
