Wrestlers that really get on my nerves. - Page 2 Empty Wrestlers that really get on my nerves.

Post by Francis Wed 11 May 2011, 12:43 pm

First topic message reminder :

So I'm sat here in the office... Not much to do... Mind wandering & I start to think about WWE... Which leads to me thinking of wrestlers that I dislike & I've come up with a list of who and why. And you'll realise that it doesnt take much for me to dislike someone.

John Morrison - Cant throw a punch to save his life, surely thats the first thing you learn when you become a wrestler. Its hard to take him seriously. And he's so good looking he's threatening my sexuality.

Michael McGillicutty - Now dont get me wrong, I dont think that every wrestler should be roided up to the eyeballs and as big as Batista, but this guy takes the biscuit. He looks like an average guy they just picked off the street and gave him a Nexus t shirt. Surely you'd hit the gym occassionally, and learn to punch (you listening Morrison?!)

Abyss - Cant begin to even explain my hatred of Abyss. Its deep seeded and mostly unfounded but its severe.

Kofi Kingston - Take off that stupid t shirt, stop trying to get people to join in & just go home. Go home and stop wasting my time. He's like that guy in the office that keeps trying to talk to you even though you've made a direct effort not to instigate conversation with him or even look him in the eye. Congrats Kofi - You're just like Bradley in admin.

Mark Henry (thanks for reminding me Sara) - Man o man where do I start with Mark Henry... His numerous completely pointless main events pushes? The fact that he may be the sweatiest man alive? The fact he has back breasts? The fact that somehow he still gets a reaction from the crowd which I cannot get my head around? His happy smiley face routine which exactly the same as his angry heel routine just without the smile? His 3 moves? One of which is a headbutt?! Retire Mark, retire and make me happy.

Matt Hardy - Where did he get his self righteous better than everyone attitude from? He was the less impressive member of Hardy Boyz, less successful in singles competition and has done nothing to impress me since TLC at WM17.

Come, join me in this hate orgy.

Who & why?

Suprised nobosy has mentioned the following person (or have they?)

Ted DiBiase - The guy is just awful IMO, relying too much on his daddy's legacy & is just plain bland. He really gets on my nerves from eveything from his enterance music to his hair cut. The guy is the epitome of a 2nd generatiuon superstar (relying on daddy)

The Hardy Boyz - Jeff has ruined his talent by constantly being wasted. Turning up to a show so "Exhausted" you can't perform is shocking behaviour. Matt - Well he's just a walking ego with no talent to back it up.

Hulk Hogan - Has ruined his legacy. He was the right man at the right time, his inability to let go has damaged his stock beyond all repair.

Hernandez - I used to actually like him. He was a beast of a wrestler but still pretty good in the ring. Now? HE's just a massive botch waiting to happen.

Randy Orton - I'm bored of him now. That whole "He's going to that place" BS is tiresome. He looks like he's constipated when he's "going to that place".

Cena - Superman Cena. How to squash your entire roster in 5 moves.

Rey Mysterio - Mini Cena

JoMo - Spineless, Personality vacuum.

Big Show/Khali - Boring.

Undertaker - A Man with a body basically made of cheese straws. So injured that he can last 1 match before he needs 6 months off. Give it up and retire.

Jeff Jarrett - How he managed to have such a successful career is beyond me. The man is just terrible.

Hornswoggle - The brogue kick to the face during RR is the ONLY good thing about him

Otunga and Shannon Moore are also great shouts.

Batista - See my comments for Hernandez

Very interesting perspective Mr H. I am just such a mark for the Hitman that maybe I am biased, I just haven't seen it that way. I just look at it that he is in a better place in his life now, he sees things differently, and decided he doesn't want his legacy to be the Montreal incident. And regarding losing his dignity, I thought shaking hands with Shawn in the ring and making peace with Vince was done in a very dignified manner. Certain parts of his comeback I really disliked, such as the Mania match which did him a great injustice and winning the US title, but overall I thought Bret's legacy benefitted from the younger generation seeing him in a manner other than the bitter ex wrestler who Shawn and Vince screwed.

Excellent apraisal of the Hitmans return animal. I too think Bret is in a better place in life. Following the screwjob he became a very bitter man. Now that seems to have all been forgotten by all concerned. His showdown will Michaels of the 1st Raw was an amazing piece of television. Imagine Wayne Bridge & John Terry meeting face to face on live television. This for me is where wrestling is at it's greatest when the borderline between fantasy & reality is completely blurred. Ok parts of Harts return were very poorly done (the crash, mania match & US title win) but it was great to see everyone forget the past. Mr H I wouldn't call him a sell out? He didn't get a great pay off apprently, it wouldn't surprise me if he did in partly just to stick it to Hogan

Shawn Michaels? His name on here doesn't surprise me. But love him or hate him he has the respect of all his peers & unlike Cena he has the ability to back it up

John Cena - enough said really (boring, oversells/no-sells, never puts over anyone cleanly, the fact that one of his signature moves is a euphamism for masturbation 🤦 )

Randy Orton - never saw that RKO coming...oh wait yes I did!

Kane/Undertaker/Big Show - chokeslaming people that are blatently too tall and heavy in real life to be picked up by such a move

Jeff Jerret - why is he still wrestling?

Hulk Hogan - get over yourself

Ink Inc - just annoying and an eyesore

I'm sure there are more but I can't think at the moment

Cena - mainly for the STF, he's been doing that move for long enough now to at least look like it may possibly hurt someone

Show - awful as a face and has squashed countless upcoming heels over the past year

Orton - bland, the punching of the mat is just cringeworthy

Khali - just awful

Mysterio - I cant take him seriously, he is a mini mexican Cena

Abyss - screams of lower leagues

Ted DiBiase - any other surname and he'd have been FE'd by, and probably the worst entrance music known to man

Tommy Dreamer - cant cut a promo without crying and the most pointless/who cares heel turn in reason memory

Jeff Hardy & Kurt Angle - both for the reason they were two of my favourites growing up and seeing the drug addled mess they've become

Hogan - please just go away

Irritating little guy who the IWC fawn over because of a few decent tag matches and a world title in a 2 bit company.

You can fit that for Daniel Bryan too, minus the tag matches and substitue 2 bit for indy. Not even got Christians mediocre mic skills to back him up.

Rey Mysterio - A stupid little 4 year old kid look-alike who gets too close to kids in his entrance, he beats everyone every week, no matter how big and huge they are you know he'll beat them, he beats them by getting his ass kicked left right and center then does the same 2 moves then the rubbish 619 to win the match. I HAPPENS EVERY TIME!

Cena - Obvious reasons

Big Show - What has he actually done? seriously he has the most pointless feuds, makes the most pointless heel/face turns every so often, then goes back to doing nothing. as usual!

Jeff Jarrett - Very average wrestler who seems to love himself far too much, way too much air time.

Stone Cold - Controversial i know, but i never grew to him like everyone else did in the attitude era, i was always the guy who hoped The Undertaker or Rock would kick his ass. now he comes back every so often stunners someone and has a 10 minute beer bash which i find ever so boring.

Hogan - Just give up already!!

Chavo Guerrero - Lets face it, if he wasn't related to Eddie he would of been gone along time ago. most pointless wrestler in the E

R-Truth - "Whats up?" Go home.

Matt Hardy - Just a overweight fat jobber who's career has been overshadowed by his junkie brother.

Sting - I just don't like him

Alicia Fox - Why does she even have a job? her arms are like straw, you could break them by hitting her with a pencil, she has rubbish hair aswell.

Mark Henry - He's been there how long now? and won basically nothing and done nothing, except be the father of a hand. They should give him a new gimmick where he doesn't wear the tightest spandex you'll ever see which basically shows of his balls. and we all thought it was PG. he also has stupid hair, or is it his beard? i can't quite tell.

That felt good!!

Are you for real? This guy is one of the best technical wrestlers in the world. Watch some of his ROH matches and you'll see why he is held in such high regard.

Fair enough animal, i totally understand where you are coming from but i just cant feel the same way. When he returned last year i didnt see Bret Hart, i saw a 52yr old retired wrestler who wasnt even the shadow if his former self. I dont believe for a second that he and Shawn Michaels have genuinely buried the hatchet, their embrace was awkward and although they may have agreed to let bygones be bygones i think deep down they still resent eachother. Vince McMahon always gets his own way and for 13yrs i had alot of respect for Bret for being a stubborn SOB and keeping his pride intact, but in the end he caved in and gave Vince what he wanted. I understand what you say about not wanting his legacy to be the Montreal incident and wanting to be in a better place, but no matter what happens THAT will always be the first thing that comes to mind when i think of Bret Hart - Montreal. Whether or not he returned last year, i believe that Bret Hart will end up being a cantankerous, bitter old man with a chip on his shoulder and the recent outbursts to Hogan show that he's heading in that direction. If he feels better within himself for making the peace then great, and maybe im being too cynical, but he's no longer the best there is, is not the best there was, and isnt the best there ever will be.

Oh my god, I'm so ashamed, how did I forget the wrestler who irritates me more than any other?!

Eric Young.

This guy is the reason that wrestlers wear masks. He looks like a loser. He just has the face of a loser. When he's happy, he looks like a happy loser. When he's sad, he looks like a sad loser. When he's angry, he looks like an angry loser. He has the sort of face of a kid who liked playing war in school. And the kids that played war in school were the losers. Those beady little eyes and that slightly protruding bottom lip, his two hairstyles (crewcut or outgrown crewcut)....he looks like a child whose dad has been in the army twenty years and never ranked higher than Private.

And when he talks, it's like listening to someone sing really badly out of tune. Except he's not singing out of tune, he is TALKING out of tune, which I didn't even know was possible until I heard an Eric Young promo. His syntax is totally screwed up. The weirdest thing is, TNA gives him loads of promo time. Not only do I find it disturbing to hear him talk, but TNA loves to let him talk as much as possible!

He's an ok wrestler but his face distracts from everything he does. He's just impossible to take seriously, and not in a funny way. His comedy just makes me cringe. Super Eric, the stuff with Orlando Jordan, I know he didn't write this stuff but it's still awful.

Fair play to him for still having a job, but that is down to two reasons: 1) He is happy to do whatever stupid thing is asked of him, and 2) He's friends with Jeff Jarrett. If those were the two reasons I had a job in wrestling, I think I'd rather quit.

Eric Young and Shannon Moore are both very similar for me; wrestlers who just don't look like wrestlers. However skilled you might be in the ring (not that either is particularly great), sometimes you just haven't got the face for it.

I think the difference between Young and Moore is that Young has a face that looks like it's just been slapped, Moore has a face that looks like it needs a slap.

Otunga, Khali, Mason Ryan, Ted DiBiase Jnr... I'll add more later to the WWE List

Oh and did I mention RVD?

Older 'stars' - Sabu, Sandman, Balls Mahoney, New Jack...

RVD and Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy again

'Internet Darlings' in general

RVD...

Going back a bit, any one of Ed Leslie's gimmicks.

The Honky Tonk Man.

Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine later on in his career.

Oh and even though he's not a wrestler, Mike Tenay.

No one has mentiond Michael Cole in this thread I believe Very Happy that shows how good he is at doing his job that most find his character entertaining. (I count him as a wrestler since he planned to retire on Raw as the only undefeated wrestler in WWE history)

Can we expand this to all wrestling personalities because Jerry Lawler has been iritating me a lot lately.
But then again i don't like any of the wwe commentators except for Jr and Regal.
Back to the topic of the thread i the wrestlers that annoy me most are the ones i used to think were great namely Cena, Orton, Rey and of course everyone associated with TNA (apologies to those of you still persevering with this show my thoughts are with you)

I don't count him as a wrestler. He is a podgy guy in a bright orange wrestling outfit that has "wrestled" 2 matches. He is NOT a wrestler.
