He's never even had bread - He used to be sick a lot as a baby when trying lumpy food and it has put him off most things. I'm sure he will grow out of it

what a goal by Leon Best yesterday! Should of won the game, though we didn't have our first team midfield out there, but season is looking very very very good for us I must say! Only positive!

Re: Out of Character Chat V4
United should be ok this season if they keep hold of Rooney if not they gonna struggle to win the title again, dubs thought Blackburn played well and yeah what a goal it should have won the game but it wasn't as good as McDonald's goal on Friday night.
Re: Out of Character Chat V4
Even with him I think we'll struggle. I', not saying we'll get relagated or even finish outside top 4, but this is the first season where I have been looking at thinking 'what exactly can we win'

Re: Out of Character Chat V4
Will be interesting to see if we get anyone at all at this rate, I understand that Moyes is different to Ferguson BUT it's weird not having a big signing by August...everyone we want is either too much or wants to go somewhere else.
Reports say we have turned down another bid from Chelsea for Rooney of £30m, if they were willing to pay £50m for Torres then they have a long way to go yet

Torres at his peak > Rooney at his peak, and that's pretty much a fact.

I think you're getting fact and opinion mixed up there Marky...the thing is, Torres' first season at Liverpool was pretty special but since then he's been pretty lack lustre...his first season saw him get 33 goals in 46 games but the following seasons were pretty poor at only 17, 22 and 9 before moving on to Chelsea and we all know how poor he's been there (especially regarding his price tag).
Rooney on the other hand has had TWO seasons where he's scored 34 goals in less games and has outscored Torres in 4 of the last 6 seasons...I know which I'd have in my team, unless I could have Torres play like that one season where he actually preformed to his £50m ability.

Re: Out of Character Chat V4
So Viper argues his case, then agrees at the end that Torres at his peak is better than Rooney at his peak
Even if Torres' peak only lasted one season, you agreed.
Rooney has had much better longevity, but at their very best Torres is better than Rooney.

I'm glad you made a worthwhile argument in response
I'd rather have Rooney in my side because Torres is too inconsistent, but I still believe that at their very best, Torres is the better player/footballer/striker.

Re: Out of Character Chat V4
Because FACT is an argument in Crawley?
I think overall Rooney has always been the better player. Let alone that his creativity, work rate, flexibility positionally all completely outdo Torres, he offers much more to the players around him and can score all kinds of goals and create more than Torres ever has. Not to mention that Torres' top goals scored in a club season is 33 and Rooney has twice hit 34. Torres is better in the air. Thats about it.
Even at his peak, Torres' level wasnt as good as Rooney's peak. Theres barely a thing i've seen Torres do that Rooney couldnt, but it doesnt work in the opposite example.

Torres is better than Messi now eh?!
Its ok, that also means West Ham are the best team in England, I can accept this argument if both statements become fact

My point was actually that Torres had one good season that wasn't as good as Rooney's best season (which he did twice!).
If I had the choice I'd go for Rooney time and time again, Torres at his best was one season and since then it's been down hill.
I'm not sure that one season is worthy of counting as a very good peak btw, more of a fluke.

Morning all fellas - Shows coming along nicely
Question of the Day?
We are roughly 9 months away from the biggest night in the 6CW calendar 'Night of Glory' - What would be your Main Event and how would you book it?

Enforcer v the entire roster in a gauntlet match for the unified World, TV and Tag Titles with Enforcer winning ;-)
I don't know enough about the 6CW feuds and characters yet to give a proper response, I'm sure whatever happens will be awesome though!

Re: Out of Character Chat V4
9 months is a long time BUT I think a match to unify the two World Titles seems like a logical main event, especially if you have 9 months of clashes between the two champions (whoever they are) arguing over who is the better champion.
I think 9 months is too long to say that Viper will still hold the EWF Championship by then haha

I don't care about the main event as long as gazzyD, the human highlight reel, the History maker himself stays 100% at the biggest show of the year

Re: Out of Character Chat V4
It depends if EWF feuds are being brought over but I could see something like this (depending on what's going on with the 6CW/EWF World Titles).
Could have a sort of gauntlet match with Nack facing the 6CW No.1 contender and Viper facing Enforcer (the EWF No.1 contender) before having the winners of those matches facing off for the unified title.
Main Event: Unified World Title
EWF World Champion v 6CW World Champion
6CW World Title: Nate Nack v Orthrus or Edward Plague
EWF World Title: The Viper Liam Wood v Enforcer

Re: Out of Character Chat V4
I like that idea Viper. I do think it would be better to have the two titles merge and that is a really good way of doing it. Winning two matches in one night will show that whoever takes the unified title will be deserving.
If the plan isn't to unify yet, then I'd like to see the winner of each world title match move into a program with each other over who is the 'true' world champion.
I expect Liam Wood to be forced to defend his TV title on the ppv as well as the World by The Authority as a display of their power.
