Team talk: Sure, we have some injuries that sting but I don't want excuses, we're going out with a gameplan to win. We want to be deliberately difficult to break down and to have two banks of four for the opponents to break through. When we wing the ball we want to be direct and we want to attack with pace down the wings.
Vermeer: Communicate, catch what you can and parry anything away from the goal.
van Rhijn/Antonelli: Defensive remits today, and I want you to sit in and dog any wingers they may bring. If they aren't looking to attack from wide then just make sure you're taking up good positions and keeping a good line with your CBs. Bring the ball forward when we're attacking but don't commit up the field.
Ruiz/Zapata: A number of things they could do but we anticipate Drogba with Villa just off him. Either way, track them when they are in the final third and take the option of playing it to their feet out of it. When the ball is in the air, whoever has Villa must make sure to be tight to him and try and get the second ball first so he can't feed off scraps. On occasion look long for Luuk.
Clasie/N. de Jong: Strong and battling CM area and we want to see you getting among them and disrupting their flow and pretty passing. Just stick in the centre and try to control the area or at least make it hard for them to pass through us. When we're attacking look wide and move it sharply.
Mirallas/Varela: Traditional winger roles for you today, stay wide and get chalk on your boots. The attacks will come through you so be aware that when we win it back that you better get on your bike and make yourself some space out wide. Whip crosses in when you have the chance, but when we're up the field look also for Siem in the middle and try and work through their defence with passing and movement.
S. de Jong: Sit off the front man and take up positions where we can get you the ball in space. Try and pick the lock of their defence and link with your brother ahead. If the ball is put in the air then get yourself in and around Luuk and watch for the second ball and any snappy chances.
L. de Jong: Lead the line in a traditional way. Probably not going to be all that much involved in the play so focus on good runs and making yourself a target for any crosses or long passes. Be physical and make sure you make the CBs think.
Subs
if losing 75mins
Milito for Varela: stick Milito up top with Luuk.
Arnautovic for S. de Jong: Arnie on the right and continue to pepper crosses in.
if winning 75 mins
Xhaka for Siem: stick Xhaka in the CM and go 4-5-1 and kill the match.

Team talk:
Right guys. Typically Ajax like to pack the midfield and in every game so far they have had three players in the middle. We are not going to try to match up to this, but by-pass it with fast counter attack to stretch them and disorganise them. Fast moving, quick passing attacking football is the name of the game today as we are going to try and surprise them and get after them. Defensively this requires discipline from our defensive minded players so limited attack from our full backs and what Barzagli says, goes. Herrera is key as he plays box to box and support both the attack and defence. We also bring back the experience of Irazioz in goal to help organise this.
GK Stand tall, come for crosses that are close to you making them need to aim crosses further out. Distribute short as much as possible. Be on your toes for balls in behind the defence and sweep them up.
FBs Unless we are chasing the game, you focus on defence today and concentrate on picking up the opposition wingers. Get on them straight away and don’t give them time to think. They like to come inside so step slightly inside and force them on the outside and away from goal.
CBs – Martinez will pick up any main striker, staying tight to him and making sure he doesn’t have any easy headers. Barzagli will either pick up the second striker or play spare sweeping up any loose balls and picking up runs from midfield. Be vocal and keep an organised line. Make it difficult to run through us and Ajax need a moment of magic to break us open.
Central Mids – Gonalons is to sit and protect the back four. Break down opposition attacks before they get going and pass the ball to Herrera and the wingers to get attacks going. Herrera is playing box to box today. Run yourself into the ground for 70 minutes and earn your rest. Defensively track back and support Gonalons in protecting the back four. Offensively, get on the ball, feed the wingers and strikers, get to the edge of the back. You are the key man for us today!
Wingers – Get the ball wide and attack the full backs. If they push forward, look to exploit the space behind which will either give you loads of space, or force them to drop back. You are mainly attack minded, but when under pressure, drop deeper. Defensively, pressurise the ball high up the pitch as soon as we lose it.
Strikers – Drogba is the focal point of the attack. He should look to hold the ball up and bring others into play. Bully the centre backs and leave them relieved when the game is over. Get on the end of the balls into the box. Villa should look to play off Drogba, feeding on the loose balls and any flick ons. When Herrera comes forward, look to spin in behind onto through balls. Defensively, pressurise the ball high up the pitch as soon as we lose it.

Team Talk: This formation specifically set up to combat West Ham's silly 5-3-1-1 rubbish. 3 CB's dominate Mandzukic, Johnson kick two bells out of the CAM, Howson/Fer get around the CM's, Hoolahan draw one onto you and create. The widemen Carvajal and Redmond have the energy to get forward and back and are basically one on one with the West Ham wingbacks today. Hooper scores. If they play a different formation, then you know yolo just go for it.
Team Instructions:
Ruddy - Stop the ball from entering you net. Ta.
Okore/Martins Indi/Bassong - You shall be facing this massive croatian dude today. DOMINATE HIS ASS. Okore/Bassong just beware of the wingbacks if our widemen lose them. When getting the ball, give it out wide or to Wessi/Fer.
Johnson - Musts stop the CDM playing today, you get around him take him out the game. If you get the ball give to Fer/Hoolahan or widemen.
Howson/Fer - With Verrati out we win the midfield battle. You both gotta get forward and back in a box to box role. Out run, out physical, out do there midfield.
Hoolahan - Create chances for Hooper today. If they got a CDM get around him when they in possession.
Carvajal/Redmond - You against the wing back today. When we go forward you take him on and create/shoot. When they attack you track him. Win that battle, we're halfway to winning the game.
Hooper - Score goals. Get on that last shoulder, they ain't got pace at the back, and look to slot home any chances coming your way.

Team Talk: After a small setback last week lets get back to winning ways again this week against a Nodge side that will more than likely go 4-4-2. With this in mind we have altered our system very slightly to play with two up front. Carroll and Mandzukic to terrorize their defence who we will be able to dominate physically. The wingbacks to aim for the big head of Carroll who can knock it on to Mandz and vice versa. In the middle of the park we will outnumber them with the three on 2 aspect. Without RVW and Snodgrass they are lacking some of their attacking threat so we can hurt them today.
Jaaskelainen - Control your box and stop the white thing from getting past you! Look to release the ball to the wingbacks
Reid/Mexes/Demichelis - Reid to mark Quag, physically dominate him and throw him off his game. Mexes and Demi to share responsiblity of picking up Hooper (or Altidore but more likely Hooper). Make sure you keep an eye out for their wingers cutting inside, althought without Snodgrass they do lack the impact they normally have
A.Cole/Jenkinson - Control the flanks, get forward as much as is feasible in order to put their fullbacks on the back foot. When they have the ball get straight back and make sure we have a solid back 5 with no room for them to attack into. Big games today and keep the energy up throughout. As mentioned in the team talk look to hit up our top two but also look to exchange passes with Diamé and Lampard to set them up
Noble - Stick in the middle of the park and pick up Fer and Howson(? Whoever is playing the Strootman role for them this week) as they come forward. Look to keep it simple so that Lampard and Diamé can roam around and get forward
Lampard/Diamé - You both have permission to go box to box but essentially the role is two fold. First off making sure we always have a spare man in the middle of midfield for a simple pass before releasing the wingbacks and secondly offering an option for the strikers to knock the ball down to/the wingbacks to drag the ball back to. Shoot if you are in range for a pop or look to slide it through for either the strikers or the wingbacks out wide
Mandzukic/Carroll - As mentioned in the team talk make an utter nuisance of yourselves. Carroll to use his strength and size to domonate their CB pairing and prevent them from ever getting to the ball. Mandzukic to drift around and look to bury every chance he gets! Both of you combined will be too much for the Nodge!

Team Talk: Up against a strong side today, I don't want my FB to attack much as Munian and Suaesta are very dangerous. Our attack will come from the wingers and Neymar who will play in a free role. Streller play in the 18 yard box hold the ball pass and move don't stay static.
GK Make yourself big if any balls come across you try to catch if you have to punch out, make the goal look smaller hit the ball long to our CF. Any shots you can't hold on parry away from goal.
FB I don't want them to push up as much be more conservative in attack, when defending watch for the wingers going inside jockey them and try to push them out wide.
CB Dragovic pick up Drogba put him off in the air attack him early not allowing him to get in control of ball. Schar watch any player making runs of Drogba intercept and block reading the game.
CM Diaz and Frei to sit back and get the game starting from deep look for wingers who'll make runs in behind the fullbacks or Neymar who will always look to pick up ball. Follow your runners and stick by them close any gap for them to shoot. When they come in our half put pressure on the ball making them go backwards.
Wingers Salah drive at your man running at him making him commit use width get crosses in for Streller or look for Neymar drifting around by cutting inside. Valentin use your dribbling keeping close control and get crosses in. Both wingers have to track back.
Strikers Neymar our key man, drop between their midfield and defence demand the ball and run at them, use your tricks and skills to beat your man look to either get on goal or play a team mate through. Streller play as our target man get in between the two CB drifting between the two try and get on the end of crosses.

TACTICS
We can't afford any more slip ups if we're serious about title glory and this is a great chance to get all three points.
- Pirlo must be man-marked at all times when we don't have the ball. Make sure he has no space to operate in.
- Attack down the wings, they may play without wingers which could allow us to double up on the full backs.
- Take long range shots, they are playing their fourth choice goalkeeper.
- Higher line this week as they lack pace in their attackers, this will force their midfield to have less space to operate in. They have older strikers who may be predatory but not from 50 yards out.
- Sahin and Bender should sit slightly deeper to provide protection for the defense from Barkley and Ramsey who will look to break forward, congesting the area in front of the back four.
PLAYER ROLES
Enyeama - Be your usual self. Save the shots and get the attacks flowing, looking wide.
Coleman - Your tactics depends on if they play with wingers. If they do play with them, then you will need to balance defending with attacking and keep an eye on your opponent, which we think will be Holtby. If that's so, do not let him cut inside under any circumstances. Force him wide where he's much less of a threat and on his weaker foot.
Rami - Dominate the box and win all of the headers, smash the ball clear and lead us. Should they play with one striker, then be physical and get him out of the game, get tight with their ageing striker, be it Berbatov or Di Natale. Should they opt for the pairing use a zonal marking system with Toure and make sure we hold a strong defensive line.
Toure - Sweep around the box and get to the second balls with Rami throwing himself on the line. You are an experienced player who can be alert to any danger, be it from a striker or an onrushing midfielder. Make sure that you hold a strong line with Rami.
Schäfer - A debut for you today, show your worth. Get forward when you can, same as Coleman if they play without wingers. However, should the winger play you are strong and should be physical with the winger, jockeying him out wide and not diving in.
Navas - Run Balzaretti ragged today. He's a big guy and you can be the 'whippet' and run rings around him (not literally, although it would be funny) and look to cross low to our forwards. A key part of our attacking play, you should be looking to stretch their defense as much as possible. Look for Coleman who will be supporting you.
Sahin - Play slightly deeper than you usually would today. Look to pass the ball but you need to be mindful of the threats their midfielders pose getting forward, get in front of the defense and ensure that there is no or little room to work in. When the chance does come though, look for the long ball forward.
Bender - Get deeper than usual with Sahin, make sure their central midfielders can't break forward into the space. Make the tackles and interceptions and break up the play, congesting the area in front of the back four. This is the key to keeping a clean sheet today.
Thauvin - Have a go at Clyne today. He may be decent going forward but isn't all that defensively. Get between the full back and centre back and be confident. Make runs at them, show a few tricks off and find that moment of magic to win us the game.
Eto'o - Use your predatory instincts to get us a goal. They like to man-mark and if that's the case, be smart. Drag your marker out of position creating a gaping hole for other players to get into. Stay high up when we don't have the ball to scare them into not committing too many players forward.
Cassano - Defensively, you have one responsibility. Man-mark Pirlo, use your energy and workmanlike style to prevent him making any impact on the game. You've played with him before both at club and international level. When we have the ball you are a striker with Eto'o so make plenty of clever runs, Eto'o will be doing the same. And Hangeland, if he plays is a noticeable weakness in their defense, exploit his lack of pace.
SET PIECES
Left Corner - Thauvin
Right Corner - Coleman
Free Kicks - Navas/Cassano
Penalties - Eto'o
SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning bring on Rodelin for Eto'o. Move Thauvin into the centre with Rodelin left wing, adding fresh energy. Look to attack them on the counter.
If drawing bring on Fred for Eto'o. Like for like change but a new energy upfront.
If losing bring on Rodelin, Fred and Roux for Cassano, Eto'o and Bender. Move Thauvin to CM and move to an attacking 4-2-3-1. Fresh attacking faces to attack a tiring defense with renewed energy.

Injuries: Maarten Stekelenburg + David Stockdale + Neil Etheridge + Rickie Lambert
TEAM TALK:
Lille are a very dangerous side – but I think we have what it takes to beat them. This Lille side is fast on the flanks and solid in midfield – to nullify those threats we are going to control possession from kick off to the final whistle, harry them all over the pitch when they have the ball, and keep our midfield running all game to tire Lille out. You’re still unbeaten lads, so go out there and get us three crucial points!
ATTACK TACTICS:
There are three components to our attacks: Berbatov and Barkley (1), Ramsey, Pirlo and Holtby (2) and Clyne and Balzaretti (3). I want to see lots of possession, lots of quick passing play, and near the opposition box I want to see quick one-twos so we can get into the box and stick a few goals away!
1. Barkley is in superb form at the moment – I want Berbatov to stretch the CBs by switching marker, dropping deep to draw CBs out, and making runs to develop space behind him. This will allow Barkley to get on the ball and play through balls for the CMs bursting through and the overlapping FBs.
2. Ramsey, Pirlo and Holtby are the second threat for Lille. Pirlo will sit just ahead of the CBs and orchestrate play, using his range of pinpoint long passes to free Holtby, Ramsey, Barkley and the FBs. Ramsey and Holtby will be box-to-box CMs, defending hard at one end and bursting forward into space at the other. With Ramsey in such fine goalscoring form at the moment all eyes will be on him, so I want to see Holtby and Barkley make clever runs into space to make chances for their teammates.
3. Clyne and Balzaretti will play like Brazilian FBs – only one can attack at a time, at which point the other will drop back to make a back four with the three CBs. The FB that is attacking will offer an overlap for the midfielders, drawing crucial men away from the centre to allow the trio of Ramsey, Holtby and Barkley space to score goals for us.
DEFENCE TACTICS:
There are four components to our defence against the threat of Lille: Zouma, Hangeland and Amorebieta (1), Clyne and Balzaretti (2), Pirlo, Barkley, Ramsey and Holtby (3) and de Sanctis (4). All outfield players will work hard to close down the opposition, hound them into mistakes, and keep wide players out wide and CMs rushed (in particular Sven Bender, don’t give him even half a yard of space).
1. Zouma, Hangeland and Amorebieta are a back three unit that will work together to snuff out attacks. Hangeland will mark the Lille striker tightly – whoever they play, but hopefully Eto’o - win all headers with his height, keep the man close with his physicality, and use his knowledge of the game to stop the striker spinning off him into space. Amorebieta and Zouma will act as cover as they have more pace, so if there is a break from central they will deal with it. If Lille play two strikers, Amorebieta will mark him allowing Zouma to play as the covering CB.
2. Clyne and Balzaretti will can attack one at a time, at which point the other will drop back to make a back four with the three CBs. When defending, their wingers will try and beat you for pace – use yours to counter that, keep them wide, and shepherd them to the touchline or into making a pass. If they cut inside, Amorebieta and Zouma will be covering, so just concentrate on keeping your man out wide and stifle him.
3. Pirlo will already be sitting deep as playmaker, so he can also take responsibility for closing down Thauvin. Barkley, Ramsey and Holtby will be responsible for taking on Bender and Sahin. Bender can’t hurt us if he’s closed down quickly, so get tight on him and force a mistake. Sahin is the real clincher – force him into a mistake and we’ll have some space in dangerous territory. So I want to see Barkley closing down Bender quickly, and both Ramsey AND Holtby targeting Sahin to win the ball back and spring a quick attack.
4. De Sanctis will marshal the defence and ensure that the CBs knows where their opponents are; release the CMs or FBs so they can get our passing going, or, as a last resort, lump the ball down to Berbatov so he can bring the ball down and create something.
Subs:
If winning or drawing – on 70mins – di Natale on for Berbatov
Formation: same as before
Instructions: Use your pace to unsettle those tired Lille defenders, and linkup with the midfielders to get us another goal.
If losing – on 70mins – Biglia and di Natale on for Zouma and Biglia
Formation: 4-2-2-2, with Pirlo sitting alongside Ramsey (who will also get forward), Barkley and Holtby teaming up centrally ahead of them, and Berbatov playing off di Natale with a remit to play wide if he wishes.
Instructions: Go for broke to get the extra goal (or two) we need!

Francesco Totti
Romelu Lukaku - Jermain Defoe
Subs: Julian Speroni, Antonio Nocerino, Armand Traore, Serge Gnabry, Steven Pienaar, Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco, Bryan Ruiz
-------------------------------------
Manager's note: Slight change of system today, going man for man with the WHU wingbacks so no doubling up from them. Defour and Flamini to anchor the midfield and allow Totti to be the main supply line to the front two. Shaw and Jones are vital cogs as they will also need to get forward to get crosses in towards Lukaku and Defoe. We will also be surprising WHU as they will be expecting our standard 4-2-3-1. Three centrebacks will also be key in dealing with the likely WHU front pairing of Mandzukic and Riviere.
Abbiati, distribute from the back to the wingbacks/CM's, stay in communication with your defence throughout, be wary of long range efforts and ensure you stay big for any one on ones.
Lovren/Dante/Nacho, Dante to mark Mandzukic, stick to him like glue, don't let him settle on the ball. Lovren to focus on Riviere, it's likely he'll be the side as the support to Mandzukic to stick to him and make sure he doesn't get any space to settle on the ball. Nacho will be the extra man to give support and make sure we do not get overrun in defence.
Jones/Shaw, wingbacks today, without the ball drop back to form a back five in defence, with the ball push forward to support Totti/Lukaku/Defoe. You will likely be up against Ashley Cole and either Jenkinson or Rafinha. Shaw, you have the pace and footballing brain to get the better of Jenkinson or Rafinha, and get crosses in, and also to force your opponent wide whenever he gets forward. Jones, different opponent as Cole is far more experienced but without someone to overlap he's not as effective going forward. When you're attacking, use your pace and attacking instincts to run at Cole and get crosses in. Both of you link with Totti when further forward.
Defour/Flamini, technically outnumbered in midfield but not really as Totti will occupy Diame at DM for them. This leaves Flamini tracking Lampard, stop him dictating the play and don't let him make his traditional late runs into the area unmarked. Be with him and beat him to the ball or stop him being an option. Defour to stay further forward and be right there when Verratti is trying to be the deep lying playmaker. Pressure him into mistakes or into playing backwards, don't allow him to settle at all and minimise the impact he has on the game.
Totti, playing the CAM role today, if Diame has any sense he'll be following you around, but I want you to drift in and out, drop wide, double up with Jones/Shaw getting foward and be another option for Jones/Shaw when they're getting crosses in. Link up with Lukaku/Defoe and supply them with either the ball to feet of Lukaku or over the top to Defoe. Shoot if you get the chance but be aware of the spaces opening up as Lukaku and Defoe make runs.
Lukaku/Defoe, work together as a front two today. WHU won't be expecting both of you and arguably you two are the most in form strikers in the league. You styles are different so I want you to utilise Lukaku's strength and height with Defoe's sharpness and pace. Both of you are clinical finishers and cause problems to the best of defences, so I would hope you can cause Mexes and Demichelis at least the same amount of problems! Shoot on sight, use your strike partner making runs to create openings or supply them, and be aware of Totti/Shaw/Jones passing or crossing into the area for either of you to get onto the end of. For the occasional long pass, Lukaku to hold up the ball or flick it on towards Defoe making runs in behind.

If winning: Totti off, Nocerino on. Drop into a more conventional 3-5-2 with Nocerino an extra defensive midfielder, Shaw and Jones to be a bit less adventurous and Lukaku to be the deeper of the two strikers. Hold up possession and absorb WHU pressure.
If drawing: Totti off, Ruiz on. Like for like with fresh legs and fresh ideas as Ruiz becomes the CAM/SS, push on in an attempt to get the win.
If losing: Nacho off, Ruiz on. Change from 3-4-1-2 to 2-4-2-2, Ruiz an extra creative body and Shaw/Jones to push forward into midfield, go for goals and overcommit.

Team Talk: Up against a very dangerous Saints side today who have Lukaku back as well as a top all round team. We are sticking to our guns with 5-3-2 but with the return of Verratti adding a whole new dimension. They are weaker in the middle than us so I want us to win that area of the pitch. This will prevent them from releasing their wingers and subsequently Lukaku. We can then use Verrati's passing, Lampards vision and Diamés power to hit them where it hurts. Mandz and Riviere to tuck away the chances
Jussi - Control your box and stop the white thing from getting past you! Look to release the ball to the wingbacks or get the ball to Verratti in the middle
of the park
Reid/Mexes/Demichelis - Reid to mark Lukaku, get physical on him and match him for strength. If anyone can do it you can! Mexes and Demichelis: Time to prove yourselves! If they play a SS then alternate who picks him up and cover for Cole/Jenkinson when they go forward. They are missing Bakkali and Lallana so the threat from their wingers is reduced a bit
A.Cole/Jenkinson - Control the flanks as you did last week. Saints tend to play a relatively narrow 4-2-3-1 so this will allow you to attack their fullbacks as their wingers dont track back much. When they have the ball get back, I want a solid back 5 at all times as soon as we get it surge forward. Cole can attack their rb a lot as they are weaker there. Aim to link up with Diamé/Lamps or cross it for Mandz to get on the end of/knock down for Riviere
Verratti - You are back in as the deep lying playmaker, the man who keeps us ticking over, the lynchpin that keeps us together. In defence stick to their CAM and prevent him from playing, nick the ball and then the fun begins! You have permission to play your gorgeous passes out wide to the fullbacks, over the top to Riviere, onto the big head of Mandzukic or even the simple pass to Lamps or Diamé. You will always have options.
Lampard/Diamé - As always you are there so we always have an extra man in the middle. Diamé to get physical as none of their CMs will appreciate that. Lampard to galvanize the team and make sure we are driving forward. Offer that simple pass so we can play our way out of trouble before getting forward and offering an option for the drag back from the wingbacks or a knockdown from Mandzukic. Lampard to also look to thread it through the gap to Riviere
Mandzukic/Riviere - One target man, one pacey poacher. Two deadly strikers. Mandzukic to be strong and physical in the air especially as it is your real life club mate Dante who is likely to be marking you. Riviere to drift onto the less experienced Nacho and drag him out of position. I want both of you to bury any chance you get, just like you do week in week out. We need a win today to show how much we meen business... and dash Saints' title hopes!

Team talk:
We are up against a Corinthians team today that is hard to predict as each week sees a slightly different formation. Therefore, we are going for formation and selection that allows us to be flexible and counter whatever is in front of us. The AM trio can all interchange across the three, Herrera can sit deeper if needed centrally. Villa or Muniain can go up top alongside Drogba to make a 4-4-2. Fluid football is the name of the game today.
GK Stand tall, come for crosses that are close to you making them need to aim crosses further out. Distribute short as much as possible. Be on your toes for balls in behind the defence and sweep them up.
FBs First job is to pick up any opposition wingers. Get on them straight away and don’t give them time to think. Frce them on the outside and away from goal. When you get the chance to go forward, you should, although only ever one at a time.
CBs – Martinez will pick up any main striker, staying tight to him and making sure he doesn’t have any easy headers. Barzagli will either pick up the second striker or play spare sweeping up any loose balls and picking up runs from midfield. Be vocal and keep an organised line. Make it difficult to run through us and the opposition need a moment of magic to break us open.
Central Mids – Gonalons is to sit and protect the back four. Break down opposition attacks before they get going. Pass the ball to the more creative player to get attacks going. Oscar is playing box to box today. Defensively track back and support Gonalons in protecting the back four. Offensively, get on the ball, feed the forward, get to the edge of the back.
Attacking Mids – Plenty of passing and moving between yourselves. I want short, sharp passing and interchanging, that makes it difficult to pick you up and drags the defence out of position. When the ball is on the opposite side, get in the box in support of Drogba. When wide, if the FBs overlap, tuck in to create space. Defensively, pressurise the ball high up the pitch as soon as we lose it.
Striker – Drogba is the focal point of the attack. He should look to hold the ball up and bring others into play. Bully the centre backs and leave them relieved when the game is over. Get on the end of the balls into the box. Defensively, pressurise the ball high up the pitch as soon as we lose it.

Team Talk: Up against one of the best teams in the league so we're going to play on the attack and match there usual 4-4-2 which means he'll try match my 4-5-1 and im doomed
Cassio (cassette player) - There a physical front 2 so i want you to come for crosses and clear out anyone who gets in the way, look to release to full backs.
Defensive Tactics: Get up the field and play a high line to stop their aerial bombardment with Drogba and we have the pace to deal with Villa
Jesus Gamez: Expect to up against Muniain or Villa dependent on formation. Look to show him inside towards Gargano. Don't let him get the cross in make sure you get some kind of block, Get up the pitch and beyond Pjanic to force Muniain to track back, if go outside whip the ball in for Guerrero
Gil: I don't want you to get tight to Drogba, I want you to drop off and let him have it and look to clear up his flick ons,If he chests it down then go tight and try and get the ball. If he backs in the just jump over him and draw a foul
Ginter: I want you to get close to Villa provided he plays, don't let him turn you if he does use your pace to get back at him and make the tackle, If Villa doesn't play then look to stop the Am coming through the middle onto Drogba's flick ons
Felipe Luis: Presumably up against Susaeta so look to block down the line and force him into the midfield, If he gets behind then get back and try block the cross in, Get up the pitch and overlap Joaquin.
Gargano: I want you to get in Herrera's face as he'll dictate the play, look to chase him down and give him no time to play. Look to track him if he comes forward, look to tackle Muniain when he's forced inside and get the ball into Shirokov
Shirokov: Sit alongside Gargano and look to get the ball out into our wide players or long up to Guerrero, Once released the ball then look to get up the pitch and into goal scoring opportunities. Look to tackle Herrera when forced inside.
Pjanic: Siqueira likes to get forward so your playing wide to negate this making him stay back, Look to dribble at him using trickery and pace and whip the ball in, If he goes forward just sit and drift about in the gap he's left.
Joaquin: Look to run at Iraola and cut inside and whip the ball into the box, If he forces you down the outside then look to cut the ball back to the edge of the box for Shirokov.
Muriel: I want you to get on the slower Barzagli and look to run in behind the defense, drift across the front and look to pull the defense apart to create gaps.
Guerrero: Look to dominate Martinez with your physical presence and bully him, Look to make flick ons for Muriel to run in behind on, if he sticks tight to you then look to bring the ball down with your chest and turn him.

van Rhijn - Ruiz - Vlaar - Antonelli
N. de Jong - Clasie
Varela - Eriksen - Mirallas
L. de Jong
Subs: Vermeer, Moisander, de Jong (S), Xhaka, Andersen
Team talk: Back to something like full strength today so we want to focus on attacking and winning points. If we're going to keep up with the top sides we need to be confident with the ball, look to create chances, and be clinical. We want to attack from the off with an up-tempo and relatively direct passing game.
Vermeer: Stay big in one on ones, come for crosses that you can pluck from the sky. Anything getting parried has to go sideways out of the danger zone. Distribute quickly so we can get at them.
van Rhijn/Antonelli: Both of you can support in attacks today but you need to put the effort in in getting back to defend when they are in possession. We have two DMs that can funnel back so we aren't short but I still want to see lung busting runs back to do your jobs. Keep the wingers from getting the ball across today, they have strong headers up front so isolate them and make them pass backwards or inside.
Ruiz/Vlaar: They may choose to come with two up top of one just behind but either way the focus will be on being first to the aerial ball, so stick tight to strikers when they are in the box. If there is only a single man then Ruiz can sweep up knock downs while Vlaar man marks the CF.
Clasie/N. de Jong: Both are to sit centrally and primarily move the ball quickly on to the creative players ahead, or out wide. Smart and snappy decisions with the football and no dwelling on the ball. Defensively you may have to cover for the full backs on your respective sides if they are caught up the pitch, but when we're in shape again then sit in front of the defence and intercept and harry.
Eriksen: Between the lines of their midfield and defence and play your natural game. As always you will see a lot of the ball and we need to use it by spreading the play, picking the killer ball, or even shooting. Everything you do must be positive and attacking.
Mirallas/Varela: Stay wide and look to press the full backs back. Get around them and whip the ball across for LUUK or pull it back for Eriksen. If they are showing you outside then don't be afraid to attack the lines by coming inside and running at them and exploiting their CBs with Eriksen.
L. de Jong: Lead the line in a traditional way. Probably not going to be all that much involved in the play so focus on good runs and making yourself a target for any crosses or long passes. Be physical and make sure you make the CBs think.

Team Talk: Good game this week against a title contender, we will match up with what they will likely go with, and attempt to outwork them in the middle and use our new FRENCH FORCE to create/score goals.
Instructions:
Ruddy - (Stop the ball entering you net ). Look to distribute short, as we build from the back.
Carvajal/Davies - If Sidney Sam plays you boys ain't in trouble, he's pants Seriously though they like to cut inside and shoot, I'd rather you showed them down the line and blocked the crosses, even if they do get some in our CB's can deal with them. In attack I want you to both get forward and offer an attacking threat. Look to feed the FRENCH FORCE
Okore/Martins Indi - Most likely up against Aubameyang, one of you pick him up while the other sweeps, depends which side he moves to. Try and keep a high line, you got the pace to cover. FEED THE FRENCH FORCE.
Fer/Tettey - Right boys big game needed from you two today. You two in the CM role just break up play/feed our creative players all day long today. Tettey to sit deep and allow Fer to play box to box. Fer get in Xavi's face and break up his rhythm. Tettey if a CAM plays your job to nullify him.
Ben Arfa/Valbuena/Pilkington - HUGE roles today for you three. We are going to use you three as a fluid three who interchange throughout the match. Look to create chances for Hooper, make space for Fer to run into, and have shots yourselves. However you must do your defensive duties as well, the CAM must sit in and help, the wingers must get back and double up with the FB's. Go out and win us this game.
Hooper - Sit on that last shoulder Gary. Make those clever runs in behind and the guys creating for you, will find you, thne you finish the chances. Harry the CB's all day

Team Talk: Disappointing loss last week v title contenders but need to immediately regain our verve and swagger with a display v Norwich. I'm expecting a deep back line to combat our speed up front but in doing so it provides Xavi a great deal of space in the centre of the pitch to dictate the flow of traffic. The wingers are key today with instructions to drop inwards and run into the box whilst Aubameyang looks to drag markers with him to create gaps.
Defending: Simple stuff at the back, FBs look to stay on your feet and keep the wingers on the outside blocking crosses, Benatia to deal with the main striker, allow the striker to drop deep but pick up whenever approaching a threatening position, Dominguez to double up if needed but to mainly concentrate on a second striker or wingers that have broken through. Keeper to be vocal to the back four, release balls out early when gathered to hit them on counter. Capoue to protect Xavi whilst disrupting the flow through their middle, stay back on our set pieces to protect against counters. Forward line to be hungry for the ball, pressure their defence when they have possession, our speed will force them to release the ball early and potentially force them into costly errors, wingers to drop deep when needed to protect our FBs.
Attacking: Work from the back, the FBs to come forward down the flanks to allow our wingers to come inside and double up on their FBs. Xavi to dictate play in the middle, quickly swap the ball from one flank to the other when needed, slow play down when they're in the ascendancy and push our team up the gears when we have the opportunity. Our attacking quartet to use their speed, fluidity and close control to create space and chances. If a wall is put up then look to hit from distance, a deflection may catch the keeper offguard and once we get a goal advantage it'll force them to come forward and we can exploit the sprint merchants.
Subs: 80m Younes and Andrade > Kruse and Sam, like for like with further speed merchants on to continue the assault.

Carvajal/Olsson - Simple job today you two get up and down that wing all day. When in attack find Ben Arfa/Valbuena, and in defence show your wingers into the crowded middle.
Okore/Martins Indi/Bassong - Boys you are in for a tough test today, so we've gone 3 CB's to counter their threat up top. All three of you get physical with their strikers, rough them up, they're young naive they'll get frustrated. If only one up top and a CAM, one come out to close the CAM down. Keep that line high!
Fer/Howson - The energy today. You two both box to box get forward and support, and get around their CM's in defence. If there is a CAM let CB's deal with him, you cut off the ball in CM their supply line. Intercept/tackle high up the pitch and set our frenchmen away!
Ben Arfa/Valbuena - You two have completely free roles today. I don't care whether you go out wide, or stay in the middle your job is to create and score goals and cause as much havoc as possible for them. Looking for magic from you two today.
RVW - Work like a warrior up there. Make clever runs the frenchmen will find you, and finish the chances you get.
General Tactic - We think they think we'll try to use widemen a lot, but we're gonna look to get this game narrow and make use of our brilliant CM/CAM's to dominate the game physically and creatively.

Starting XI:

Steven Defour - Mathieu Flamini - Antonio Nocerino
Francesco Totti
Jermain Defoe - Romelu Lukaku
Subs: Julian Speroni, Younes Kaboul, Armand Traore, Adam Lallana, Bryan Ruiz, Tomas Rosicky, Saido Berahino
----------------------
Manager's note: Big game today, vital we get the win over the ever improving Nodge. Playing a 4-3-1-2 today to continue the success of the front three while being more solid in midfield. It is vital the fullbacks get forward and get crosses into the box, with Srna and Shaw both attack minded I expect this to not be such an issue. When either are out of position, Flamini will fill in. Flamini will track any runs from Valbuena and give him no time on the ball. Nocerino will be tasked with tracking Ben Arfa from the right hand side.
Schwarzer, distribute from the back to the fullbacks/CM's, stay in communication with your defence throughout, be wary of long range efforts and ensure you stay big for any one on ones.
Lovren/Dante, Dante to mark the striker (probably RVW), and Lovren to sit and watch the runners from deep/wide. When in possession bring the ball out of defence and use the midfielders ahead of you to help us play out from the back.
Srna/Shaw, need you both to work the flanks today, be wary of the Norwich AM's, especially Ben Arfa. When in possession, need you two to push forward, be the wide options for our midfielders and for Totti. Operate on a "one stays one goes" policy to make sure we don't get caught out on the counter attack. Get crosses in for Lukaku and Defoe to cause mayhem. In defence, force their wingers wide as both will like to cut inside, block any crosses at source.
Defour/Flamini/Nocerino, hopefully outnumbering Nodge in midfield will give us an advantage. I want Flamini tracking Valbuena, stop him dictating the play and don't let him have any time on the ball. Be with him and beat him to the ball or stop him being an option. Nocerino to be box to box but without the ball stay close to Ben Arfa. You're playing LCM to deal with him at RW, double up on him with Shaw to limit his impact. Defour to stay further forward and be our box to box midfielder, drop back to help out without the ball but with the ball I want you to get forward, at RCM become a RM and use Srna overlapping to cause problems for Olsson at LB. Use the 2 on 1 to get crosses in.
Totti, playing the CAM role today, if Nodge have any sense they'll have a DM following you, but I want you to drift in and out, drop wide, double up with Srna/Shaw getting foward and be another option for Srna/Shaw when they're getting crosses in.
After last week, Nodge may expect both of you however you are still two of the most in form strikers in the league. You styles are different so I want you to utilise Lukaku's strength and height with Defoe's sharpness and pace. Both of you are clinical finishers and cause problems to the best of defences. Shoot on sight, use your strike partner making runs to create openings or supply them, and be aware of Totti/Shaw/Srna/Defour passing or crossing into the area for either of you to get onto the end of. For the occasional long pass, Lukaku to hold up the ball or flick it on towards Defoe making runs in behind.
------------------
Subs 70 mins:
If winning: Totti and Defoe off, Rosicky and Lallana on. Rosicky to LM, Lallana to RM, play a solid 4-5-1 and absorb the Nodge pressure.
If drawing: Flamini and Totti off, Kaboul and Ruiz on. Change to 3-4-1-2 with Srna and Shaw pushing into RM and LM respectively, and Ruiz in the Totti role. Push for the win. A draw doesn't help us today.
If losing: Defour, Nocerino and Totti off, Rosicky, Ruiz and Lallana on. Change to 4-1-3-2 with an AM trio of Ruiz - Rosicky - Lallana behind Lukaku and Defoe, with Flamini holding. Srna and Shaw push forward a lot more as we push for goals!

Team talk: Simply put this is must win, crucial to our season and the game that will define our campaign. We win this and we're still in the hunt, we're still fighting and we show we're a force to be reckoned with.
With the striker options we have then I've gone with Benteke to lead the line expecting Lille to play a deep back four to thwart our speed merchants, if they attempt to combat that then at half time Aubameyang is to come on and join the attack.
If they're playing a deeper line it'll allow the midfield more space to probe and move the ball about playing into Xavi's hands.
If they play down the wings allow them down the flanks but ensure the crosses are blocked while crowd out Tevez, he's hardly going to be latching onto balls over the top from Navas.
GK: Keep it simple, be vocal early and ensure the defence know their instructions. Stay on your toes and be ready for long range efforts. Look to release the ball out to the wings quickly if their is the opportunity for a counter.
CBs: Benatia, look to time your tackles on Tevez, keep goal side and don't give him an inch. Alderweireld to pick up a 2nd striker if there is one, if not to be aware of marauding wingers and attacking midfielders, close down early and block shots. Look to move the ball out onto our flanks. If they're playing deep then look to play a high line to keep the ball in their half.
FBs: Durm takes the RB spot after breaking into the Dortmund side recently, if they play wingers then look to contain them on the outside, don't go to ground and slow them down, when we have the ball look to push forward doubling up with our wingers and keeping them on the back foot.
DM: Capoue to break up the flow of play of the opposition, keep it simple, no heavy lunges but just well timed tackles and intelligence to read the game, disrupt their flow through the centre and force them to change their plans. When you have the ball then simple layoffs to Xavi or onto the wings. Look to protect the flanks if our FBs go forward.
CM: Xavi, simple stuff as always today, always one step ahead, probe and tease, move the ball from one flank to the other testing for gaps and then pounce like a cobra with the killer pass as our forward options drag their markers around. Balls to feet at all times. If they have a marker on you who attempts to get physical with you then use your ability to read the game far quicker and get him to mistime a tackle on you, he'll back off once on an early yellow.
AM: Kruse in the hole and looking to link up play with Benteke, between you the speed and movement with the ball at feet allows you to hit quick one twos into the box that'll leave any marker for dead unless they clothesline you or rip the shirt off your back. If they're putting up a wall then crack one through the melee and it might deflect or the keeper spots it late. If Pirlo is dictating play then drop deeper and assist in breaking up play.
WG: Heung-Min and Bernard have a fluid role as wingers, both with the remit to come inside or to go down the flanks and whip a ball in for Tekkers, use their speed, intelligence and creativity to always be one step ahead of their defense with tricks and movement, when the other winger has the ball then ensure you get into the box to assist the striker. Quick balls where possible past the fullback for Kruse & Benteke to connect with.
ST: Look to hit swift one twos with Kruse. Be ready to pounce on any loose balls and chase their defence when they have the ball, just annoy them all day long. Drag markers out of place to open up gaps for other options. Don't hesitate to go down if they're getting physical with you. Time runs from your marker for our flanks to whip balls in for you.
Subs: if losing: 45m Aubameyang > Bernard. Have Aubameyang come in from the flanks to have three main attacking options who in real life have 15 goals between them already this season alternate their differing strengths at the Lille back four.
70m Sam > Heung Son fresh legs and a more traditional crosser of the ball to give Tekkers fresh ammo.

TACTICS
Since forever Gladbach have gone 4-2-3-1, and what is important is that there is no space in front of the back four as they have players behind the striker who like to run with the ball. They may try to surprise us with a 4-3-3 or something, but they will play in a similar style.
- Press them at a high tempo in midfield, not letting them have time on the ball. But Balmont should always stay deep, getting the zone in front of the back four.
- Attack quickly, with our midfielders quickly breaking and attacking them, exploit their lack of pace in their defense.
- Tevez should be tireless upfront, if Xavi drops super deep near the CBs then have a go at him, unsettle him.
- Their full backs are a bit average and we can get joy as usual going wider. Cross low when the opportunity arises.
Unnerstall - A good chance for you to stake your claim today for the number one spot. Look to quickly distribute the ball forward if the chance arises on the counter attack.
Toure/Rami - This week rather than trying to man-mark a side who will attack us with a lot of pace and mix us up we want to stick to a tight back four. Rami should lead this and be the defender who comes out with Toure getting in behind and clearing up.
Coleman/Schafer - Don't go diving in, but they will have wingers who want to get infield so get slightly narrower than you usually would defensively, make sure there isn't the room to come infield. When we have the ball break forward, but a little more cautiously with one getting forward at a time to start with. Coleman should be the more aggressive of the two.
Bender/Balmont/Thauvin - The most crucial part of our gameplan. Balmont, most of the time should sit deep in front of the back four, cover the back four and don't be drawn out of position too easily. Bender and Thauvin should get into the faces of the opposition, not letting them settle and have any time on the ball. If Xavi drops super deep, which is what we want then leave him to Tevez. As good as Xavi is, if he's virtually in his own box he's not going to be able to pick out a pass to the other side of the field. If we can dominate the midfield battle, we can win this game. When we win the ball, Thauvin and Balmont should look to pass the ball quickly, breaking forward with one CM (Bender or Balmont) sticking deep and the other two getting forward. Run with the ball, at them at pace.
Navas/Großkreutz - Cut right inside when the opportunity arises, overloading the space in front of the back four. Get between the centre back and full back, having a go at them with your pace, take shots on goal and if you cross, get them in low and look for getting the ball to the edge of the area for onrushing midfielders.
Tevez - When we win the ball, if their centre backs get caught out slightly higher up get on the shoulder of the last man and use your superior pace to break free. Don't try it if their centre backs are deep though, obviously. Instead look to run across the defense and pick holes for the midfielders to get into. Shoot from long range.
SET PIECES
Left Corner - Thauvin
Right Corner - Navas
Free Kicks - Navas/Tevez
Penalties - Tevez
SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning bring on Jonathan and Rodelin for Thauvin and Großkreutz, adding fresh energy to the midfield.
If drawing bring on Fred for Thauvin. Move to a 4-4-2, try to win the game.
If losing bring on Roux and Fred for Balmont and Großkreutz, an attacking 4-4-2.

TEAM TALK:
Basel have had a resurgence under their new manager, and have the talents of Neymar at their disposal. However we definitely have it in us to beat them, and continue our title challenge. This Basel side will be pacy – to nullify them we are going to control possession from kick off to the final whistle, harry them all over the pitch when they have the ball, and keep our midfield running all game to tire them out. You’re still unbeaten lads, so go out there and get us three crucial points!
ATTACK TACTICS:
There are three components to our attacks: di Natale and Lambert (1), Ramsey, Pirlo and Barkley (2) and Clyne and Balzaretti (3). I want to see lots of possession, lots of quick passing play, and I am confident that our three styles of attacking – striker movement and different styles of play, CMs bursting through into space and/or setting up di Natale, and Pirlo and the FBs getting the ball onto Lambert’s head – will win us the game.
1. Lambert is a handful for CBs with his movement and physicality, and has superb heading ability, while di Natale is the quintessential poacher, and is very hard to pick up. I want Lambert to stick to the smallest CB in Basel’s side, win flick-ons and knock-downs, and get stuck into them physically. Di Natale has the crucial role today – start your runs from slightly deeper, and target the space between the CB and FB so that the CB either follows you (thus creating space for the CMs to burst into), or leaves you free for the CMs to play you in on goal. Either way, your movement and energy will create plenty of gaps for Ramsey, Pirlo and Barkley to exploit.
2. Ramsey, Pirlo and Barkley are the second threat for Basel. Pirlo will sit just ahead of the CBs and orchestrate play, using his range of pinpoint long passes to free Ramsey and Barkley into space, and to get his long balls onto Lambert’s head. Ramsey and Barkley will be box-to-box CMs, defending hard at one end and bursting forward into space at the other. With di Natale either creating space at CB or getting into space for a through ball, I want you three to target him with your passing.
3. Clyne and Balzaretti will play like Brazilian FBs – only one can attack at a time, at which point the other will drop back to make a back four with the three CBs. The FB that is attacking will look to get crosses into the box for Lambert and di Natale – the Basel defence will be overwhelmed with the three different styles of attack, and won’t be able to stop all three.
DEFENCE TACTICS:
There are four components to our defence against the threat of Lille: Zouma, Hangeland and Amorebieta (1), Clyne and Balzaretti (2), Pirlo, Barkley and Ramsey (3) and Stekelenburg (4). All outfield players will work hard to close down the opposition, hound them into mistakes, and keep wide players out wide and CMs rushed, and don’t let Neymar have even half a yard of space.
1. Zouma, Hangeland and Amorebieta are a back three unit that will work together to snuff out attacks. Hangeland will mark the Basel striker tightly – win all headers with his height, keep the man close with his physicality, and use his knowledge of the game to stop the striker spinning off him into space. Amorebieta and Zouma will act as cover as they have more pace, so if there is a break from central they will deal with it. If Neymar is the striker, Zouma and Hangeland will work together to stop him, leaving Amorebieta to cover any other danger.
2. Clyne and Balzaretti will attack one at a time, at which point the other will drop back to make a back four with the three CBs. When defending, their wingers will try and beat you for pace – use yours to counter that, keep them wide, and shepherd them to the touchline or into making a pass. If they cut inside, Amorebieta and Zouma will be covering, so just concentrate on keeping your man out wide and stifle him.
3. Pirlo will already be sitting deep as playmaker, so he can also take responsibility for helping to close down Neymar. Barkley and Ramsey will be closing down and hassling the CMs. I want to see both Ramsey AND Barkley winning the ball back and spring quick counter attacks for di Natale and Lambert.
4. Stekelenburg will marshal the defence and ensure that the CBs knows where their opponents are; release the CMs or FBs so they can get our passing going, or, as a last resort, lump the ball down to Lambert so he can flick the ball on for di Natale.
Subs:
If winning or drawing – on 70mins – Berbatov for di Natale
Formation: same as before
Instructions: Link up with the CMs from deep, drift wide to get on the ball, lose your marker and no matter what, keep possession.
If losing – on 70mins – Berbatov on for Barkley
Formation: 3-4-3, with Pirlo sitting alongside Ramsey (who will also get forward), the FBs becoming wingers, and Berbatov playing off di Natale and Lambert with a remit to play wide if he wishes.

DEFENSIVE TACTICS
We are packed in defense and have a gone with a strong hardworking midfield that will run all day. When the opposition have the ball in their own half let them play with it, once they hit out half we up our work rate and buzz at them constant harassment forcing them to play the ball side ways or back. Neymar to sit on Pirlo when we are without the ball he is the main influence in midfield.
ATTACKING TACTICS
Depending on what side we attack from I want only 1 FB to push up and someone o cover when he goes up, I want width from you and get balls into the box. The three in midfield will take turns in attacking. Neymar is to have a freerole when we are on the ball, they will look to stop you so always stay on the move wide/central off the striker. Streller job is to battle with the CB try hold the ball and look to pass it on.
Sommer - Always communicate get the ball long to Streller, try to catch ball but punch if you need.
FB - Watch the ball try to keep your man wide if he comes in one of the CB come to help you.
CB - Schar to pick up their main striker, knock him off stride don't let him settle on the ball. Th other two CB pick up any runners behind the striker and look to intercept and block pases.
MID - When on ball keep it simple with triangle passes and looking for a pass one of you burst forward to attack the support. Put pressure on them when they come in our half make it hard for them to get ball forward and try to make them go out wide.
STR - Streller play between 18 yard box knock ball on or flick it on stay between the CB not allowing to be picked up. Neymar get between the CB make runs demand the ball run at them always stay on the move and give yourself as an option, flair, tricks skills everything you can do.

Team Talk: We're up against another title contender this week and can do some real damage. They tend to go 4-5-1 so we will look to control both the middle and the flanks. Morrison and Diamé going box to box with Verratti playing the deep lying playmaker. Mandz and Riviere to finish off everything!
Jussi - Contol the box and claim any crosses that come in, look to release the fullbacks or to Verrati who can switch the play quickly
Reid/Mexes/Umtiti - Reid to pick up their sole striker (Drogba) you can get physical back at him and match him for strength. Mexes and Umtiti to pick up the SS/runners from deep. Umtiti in particular can run and run so can cover for Cole when he gets forward. Mexes is also still pretty mobile so can do so behind Jenkinson. On these sides we have Jenkinson who has more pace than Cole so can cover each other
Jenkinson/A.Cole - As mentioned above you have CBs that can cover any weekness and viceverca. Look to control the flanks as their wingers will not track back and will be demoralised by your dominance. Look to force them inside where it is tight and we can crowd them out. When forward run at their fullbacks before either dragging it back for Morrison/Diamé or aiming for Mandzukic or threading it through for Riviere
Verratti - Deep lying playmaker as always. When defending look to stick to Herrera (their CAM) and prevent him from settling, nick the ball back and then look to distribute to the wings or to Mandzukic's big head. Alternatively look to hit over the top every so often for Riviere to run onto. Keep us ticking over as wel, if the pass isnt on go short to Morrison/Diamé
Diamé/Morrison - Box to box for both of you with contrasting styles. Diamé look to get physical especially on their wingers when they are forced inside, Morrison to look to break quickly and skill your way through. Both of you have permission to change which side you're on and to shoot on sight!
Mandzukic/Riviere - As last week one target man, one poacher, a deadly duo! Manduzkic to get physical in the air against Barzagli, keep him occupied which will allow Riviere to drift in behind against the less experienced CB. I want a goal each minimum today!

Up against WHU today and we are expecting the usual back 3 with wingbacks. We are going to attack down the flanks with flying wingers and attacking full backs. The attacking threat will force the wing backs backwards and nullify their attacking threat, whilst also leading to plenty of 2 on 1s out wide. Alonso is going to sit deep and dictate play, whilst Herrera will play spare in a free role. Herrera will also drop onto Verratti and stop him from having time to pick his passes
GK Stand tall, come for crosses that are close to you making them need to aim crosses further out. Distribute short as much as possible. Be on your toes for balls in behind the defence and sweep them up.
FBs Today the best form of defence out wide is attack! When you get the chance, get forward and attack. Help double up on the wingback and force them backwards. Overlap the wideman and get crosses into the box. When defending track back and force the full back away from goal
CBs – Subotic will pick up any Mandzukic, staying close to him and don’t give him an inch. Martinez will either pick up the second striker or play spare sweeping up any loose balls and picking up runs from midfield. Be vocal and keep an organised line. Make it difficult to run through us and the opposition need a moment of magic to break us open.
Central Mids – Gonalons is to sit and protect the back four. Break down opposition attacks before they get going. Alonso is the playmaker. Get on the ball and keep play moving, feeding the forward four. Defensively, work with Gonalons, protecting the back four, stopping attacks at source and giving the full backs the freedom to get forward.
Wingers – Get on the ball and attack wide, trying to create a double up on the full backs. Run at them with pace. If the FBs overlap, tuck in to create space. Defensively, pressurise the ball high up the pitch as soon as we lose it.
Herrera – Free role today. Roam around, get on the ball and supply the wingers and Drogba. When Drogba holds it up, try and get beyond him onto his passes. Defensively, pressurise the ball high up the pitch as soon as we lose it. If under pressure, drop back with Alonso and Gonalons to make up a midfield 3
Striker – Drogba is the focal point of the attack. He should look to hold the ball up and bring others into play. Bully the centre backs and leave them relieved when the game is over. Get on the end of the balls into the box. Defensively, pressurise the ball high up the pitch as soon as we lose it.

Team talk: We need the win today so we’re going to play attacking football utilising the AM three to create chances for Milito to stick away. We respect PSVs threat through the middle with Paulinho so we’re keeping a sturdy midfield base to slow their attacks and win us the ball back in good areas.
Vermeer: Stay big in one on ones, come for crosses that you can pluck from the sky. Anything getting parried has to go sideways out of the danger zone.
van Rhijn/Antonelli: Both use your attacking instincts and make their wingers respect the fact that they will have to track back. Defensively we expect wingers so as per usual keep them stood up and slow their momentum. If they play Bony crosses may be dangerous so keep yourself between the ball and the goal and try and make blocks on crosses.
Ruiz/Vlaar: Stick together and communicate. Neither of you are assigned to follow the striker so take a zone and track him when he enters it, don't get dragged up field. Be watchful for people breaking from deep and keep your midfield informed of who they need to be following. Attack any cross into the box and do anything to get your head on it. We can’t allow them easy headers on goal.
Clasie/de Jong: Glamourous midfield pairing right here. Get among their midfield and stamp some authority on the area with your tackling, work rate and passing. Don’t give the ball away. Paulinho will probably look to break into the box so one of you has to be tracking any run he makes beyond you.
Mirallas/Varela: Start on the wings but a freer role than simply staying wide. Drift infield or outfield depending on where the space is. Look to commit men and take them out of the game and seek to link with Eriksen in the middle. If you can get him the ball in the pocket then head up and move to space or challenge the last defender by going over the top. de Jong will be sniffing around in the middle so any ball in will be dangerous – mix up going aerial and playing a fast ball in along the ground.
Eriksen: Sit in the pocket when we’re attacking and seek to pick the lock. Most of the attacks will be focussed through you so you’ll have time to assess your options and attack the areas they are proving vulnerable. The wingers will be making runs for you so make sure you slip them the ball at the right time. If it is wide then drop to the edge of the box and make an option for a pull back.
L de Jong: Work the centre backs, and stay central. No use being wide and working hard really – we need you making runs off the shoulder, darting to a post, or with your back to goal linking play or swivelling to shoot. Just operate in the middle and be a greedy swine.
If drawing or losing on 70 mins:
Arnautovic on for Clasie – and stick him up front in the worlds most attacking 4-4-2.

Team Talk: Up against ZZZ, No idea if he'll turn up but injuries mean we're short on 1st teamers so going on the offensive. Their main wingers are injured.
Cassio: Look to come and clear the ball if knocked in behind and come for crosses as Giroud is an aerial threat, Look to release to Gomez/Januzaj.
Gamez: Squeeze on him and show him down the line, if cuts inside Edenilson will help you. What we want to do is make sure he's tracking back so when we have the ball bomb forwards and overlap Ibai Gomez
Vidic: Get physical with the forward make sure if they try to pass into feet then get there before him, Make sure you keep in line with Ginter. With pass get it into it to Shirokiv or hit out wide, Giroud will try use his strength but make sure he's not able to get away from you
Ginter: I want you to watch for AM coming as Vidic will pick up the forward. If sticks on you then force him away from goal with your physical presence. If their out wide help Alessandro with the winger.
Alessandro: Your be up against the RW presumably SWP or Candreva, He's quick and he's got tricks so watch the ball not he's feet , Ginter will help you double him if he comes inside, Try force him down the wing. When we have the ball i doubt he'll want to track back so overlap Januzaj to give their defence issues.
Edenilson: Playing as DM today i want you to sit infront of the defence if one of them follows the forward out you drop in, When their outwide left then go out to cover the inside, If come through the middle get your tackles in and force them from goal, Expect Coutinho to try go through the middle

Pjanic: i want you to get forward and link up with the front 3 when you can but when without the ball sit on their outlet for attacks.
Ibai: Your playing as an inside right forward today, Felipe will overlap you to give you space to cause issues, look like switch sides with Gomez on occasions, When defending follow the winger back , if the full back goes stay and wait for the counter attack.
Januzaj : Your playing as inside left forward, Their RB isn't a strong point for the side so we're going to attack him with help from Alessandro , When on the ball take him on at pace go inside and out charge in towards their CB's if Alessandro goes down the wing, When defending follow the winger back , if the full back goes stay and wait for the counter attack.

Team Talk: We will look to play a counter attacking game today. Keep a deep defensive line to try null the pace of Muriel.
If the opposition plays wingers when defending we will revert to a 4411 formation, two sturdy banks of four. On the counter we will look for Giroud who can hold up the ball & then look to play it to one of the three runners.
If they don't play wingers we will keep our 4231 shape with Candreva & Peluso tucking in to support out midfield & also to try pack it out & stifle play. This should also invite Corinthians fullbacks to attack as they have in pervious matches & if they do in this situation we will play our counter attack down the flank looking for Candreva or Peluso. Giroud will do his best to keep the pitch big so Coutinho can have space to play whilst his hold up play will also allow us to get our runners on the ball.
César: Stay focused. Claim any crosses by your 6 yard box. Stay big for one on ones. Talk to your defence & keep them in shape. Throw the ball out quick & fast to one of our wingers if they are unmarked to try launch an attack.
Campagnaro & Costa: Campagnaro will man mark Muriel if he is the lone striker, if he drops deep let him go, once he pick up the ball close him down. If two strikers each one of you will mark each. Bully them off the ball, best them to headers. Try keep the striker(s) at a distance & keep goal side of them.
Yoon: Don't attack today, can head up to the halfway line to support play. If they are playing a winger mark him, don't let him inside unless its his weaker foot than encourage it, so keep him on his weak foot. Don't let him beat you & try block crosses or passes inside.
Jallet: Defensively try keep the winger quiet. Push him onto his weak foot & try stop him passing inside & crossing. Attacking want to you to push forward & get crosses in the box.
Yoon & Jallet: If no wingers watch for any opposition runs coming out wide & attacking fullbacks. If their fullback come up try dispose them of the ball quickly & play it into the space they have left open.
Carrick & Gerrard: Marshall the midfield area, make that pitch ours. Get the tackle in & read the game to make interceptions, turn over play quickly. Hold possession, dictate the play & tempo. When attacking really pick up the pace & get the ball forward fast. Both of you have the ability to play short & long searching passes so mix up you play a bit. Gerrard can play more box to box role & shoot from distance.
Peluso: More attacking role today which you may prefer today. get up & down that left flank, make runs in behind their backline. Get crosses in high & low, cut backs, look for Gerrard on the edge of the area. Stay wide when attacking.
Candreva: You can be a vital threat for us today with Luis injured. Get crosses into the box. Jallet will overlap giving you freedom to tuck inside either drifting into the hole when Coutinho has made space by taking his marker away or when he pushes closer to Giroud.
Peluso & Candreva: If the opposition plays with no wingers & their fullback attack track them until our fullbacks can take over, from there on tuck inside slightly onto the deepest lying opposing midfielder & be ready to make your run when we turn over play back out wide into the area of space left by the opposition fullback on the counter.
Coutinho: Play in the hole. Drift around that central area. Your knack of luring players in will make space for Gerrard or Candreva. Really what you to ghost around today, keep you play varied. Dropping off, picking the ball up & moving it on. When you get the ball in front of the opposition centre backs, turn & take them on, get them on the back foot & keep them guessing with your twisting runs. Push forward & get in just behind or alongside Giroud, try play off him. Shoot from the edge of the are. Try through balls to play the wingers in behind & try them to feed Giroud through.
Peluso, Candreva & Coutinho: When Giroud is holding up the ball bust a gut to get forward so he has passes & who to play in options.
Giroud: Stay up top in a central area. Pin yourself on the deepest opposition centre back, this should help stretch the field of play & give Coutinho more space in between the lines. Hold up the ball & wait for runners. Attack all crosses in the box, any low ones attack at the front post to beat your marker or oncoming keeper. Shoot on sight in the box.

Team Instructions:
Ruddy - Command the box, watch out for the sun Hit the wing backs when distributing

Nodge v Southampton

Starting XI:
4-3-1-2Mark Schwarzer
Darijo Srna - Dejan Lovren - Dante - Luke Shaw

Manager's note: Normally we would be sensible, but we need wins if we're going to win the title, and frankly we have nothing to lose other than maybe a little personal pride by getting beaten while trying. So going a little gung-ho today. We know Gladbach have the pace to hurt us on the break so we'd better capitalise on them missing Capoue and go straight at the heart of Gladbach. Technically it's a 2-3-3-2, but without the ball I want Srna and Traore to drop to fullback and Lallana and Rosicky to LM and RM respectively. Flamini to patrol the DM area and Lovren and Kaboul to stay zonal. Stop Benteke making an impact. The AM to play right on top of Xavi giving him no space to hurt us. Win the game or lose trying.
Abbiati, when you have the ball, go long. Look for Lukaku to win headers and keep the play higher up the field. On occasion use the wingbacks if they're unmarked. Stay big for one on ones and be wary of long shots.
Lovren/Kaboul, huge effort required, keep tabs on Benteke but be aware you may have to deal with Aubameyang/Heung breaking forward at pace. Use your brain and positioning to stop then rather than trying to outpace them. Be in the right place at the right time. On the ball, ignore midfield as that limits Xavi's impact. Look for the wide players making runs or Lukaku.
Srna/Traore, both with pace, both with attacking instincts. You will need to get back as quickly as possible when we lose the ball but with the ball, become wingers. Wingbacks with attacking intent. Get forward, use Rosicky/Lallana ahead of you to isolate their fullback 2 on 1 and get crosses in for the front two. When defending, either give away a foul high up the pitch to limit their counter attacking or use your pace to pressure them into a mistake. Traore should at least match Aubameyang, Srna should outthink Heung.
Flamini, sit infront of the back four. Cover the fullbacks when they're out of position. Be the insurance for our side as we push forward. Get stuck in, play zonally and don't allow yourself to be dragged out of position by Kruse or whoever plays at AM. In possession, use the midfielders around you and sit. In short, the Makelele role.
Rosicky/Lallana, With the ball get forward alongside Totti, put the Gladbach defence under immense pressure and create chances. You'll be effectively a front five so use the options around you to stretch the Gladbach defence. Shoot if you get the chance, look for Lukaku and Defoe making runs in behind the defence and also use the fullbacks overlapping to create space, or use them to get crosses into the area. Without the ball, drop back alongside Flamini to create a midfield three, make it hard for Gladbach to break us down when they have the ball but pressurise them high up the pitch to leave Xavi with as little time on the ball as possible.
Totti, playing the CAM role today, if Gladbach have any sense they'll have a DM following you, but I want you to drift in and out, drop wide, double up with Srna/Traore getting foward and be another option for Srna/Traore when they're getting crosses in. Link up with Lukaku/Defoe and supply them with either the ball to feet of Lukaku or over the top to Defoe. Subs 70 mins:
If winning: Totti and Defoe off, Bakkali and Defour on. Defour alongside Flamini in midfield, Bakkali to RW and Lallana to LW as we change to a more solid 4-5-1. Absorb pressure and counter attack.
If drawing/losing: Still need goals as we need to win, so Rosicky and Lallana off, Ruiz and Bakkali on. More attack minded widemen as we push for the win.
If still drawing/losing 85 mins: Flamini off, Berahino on. Extra body upfront.

Tactics
2nd last game of the season, nothing to play for so just go out there and enjoy yourselves, giving a few fringe players a run out to get game experience. No pressure on anyone, just try and play some nice football.
Defending
Nothing extravagant, simple closing down of the opposition early and timed tackles when neccessary. Keep their attack on the outside on the flanks. Kramer to protect Xavi but look to get the ball out to our widths ASAP.
Attacking
Speed of the flanks and the power of Tekkers, change between whipping around the back for Christian to knock one in or drift inside and crack one from distance. Tekkers to go toe to toe with his marker, hang on his shoulder and let it get a bit physical.

Team Talk: We've been improving every game and I believe we can take on Lille, we have set up 3-4-3 where we can go from defense to attack in seconds. The wingers in midfield will track back and support the defence while the wing forwards will stay forward and hit them on break. The two in midfield will look to get the ball moving and will take turns to get forward. Feed the monkey in Neymar get the ball to him on the attacking third so he can run at them.
DEFENSIVE TACTICS
We're set up perfectly to stop attacks from wide and through centre, I have two hardworking CM who will screen the back four one puts pressure and the other picks up any runner. The two CB on the outside to pick up any runners or spareman and wingers to track back.
ATTACKING TACTICS
The front three will not have to drop back too often we want them ready to pounce forward quickly and directly. One of my CM will push forward on breaks, Neymar to come from inside to run at opposition. The wingers get balls into box.
Sommer - Always communicate get the ball long to Streller, try to catch ball but punch if you need.
CB Dragovic to pick up Tevez ruffle his feathers don't let him settle but if he drops deep let him someone else pick him up. Schar and Ivanov to pick up any AM or if a wide player comes inside push him wide away from goal.
WINGERS I have Uchida a RB who will offer defensive protection try to keep the winger outside if he comes inside the CB will help. Valentin on the other side who helps defending aswell when both get forward look to pump balls into box or play it the wing forwards.
CM One pushes forward while other drops when we don't have ball one screens back four intercept block passes following the runners while other puts presure on the play on the ball. When you get ball look to hit it to wing forwards on the counter or keep it simple when we have possesion.
ATTACKERS Salah and Neymar as wing forwards when you get the ball run at your man and make him commit come inside and look to get a shot in, make runs off Streller into the box. Streller knock ball on hold off your man and play it simple in and work in the 18 yard box.

TACTICS
We need to get forward and have a go at the Basel side to get ourselves a long overdue win. The full back should get forward at will, and Bender and Sahin should sit deeper and cover for the full backs.
- The full backs should press forward (especially if they don't have any wingers starting)
- Rodelin and Navas should cut inside as much as possible, try to get in front of their defense and find the space.
- Bender and Sahin should sit deep and protect the defense, not wanting much going forward.
- Carroll may be playing but that does not make us one dimensional, we can pass and move the ball.
PLAYER ROLES
Enyeama - Stop the shots and distribute the ball to the full backs.
Coleman/Digne - We think they will play without wingers again, and if this is the case, then get forward at will. Run all the way forward and stretch their defense. Use your pace to get up and down the touchline and get crosses into the box. Should they play with wingers, then still look to get forward in order to peg them back, but be cautious, don't get too far beyond the halfway line so you remain in a position to get back.
Bartra - Your team-mate IRL Neymar could be playing upfront today. If that happens, I want you to man-mark him, you know how he is. Be as physical as you can, try to knock him off the ball. But make sure you are goal side of him, and that he can't get any shots away. If Neymar is not a striker, then drop deep in a strong back four with Basa.
Basa - You need to be physical with Streller, beat him aerially and stop him making his runs forward. You are our leader at the back today, be vocal with the rest of the back line.
Navas/Rodelin - Both of you have the ability to make something happen. Get inside as much as you can, make runs to support the forwards by trying to find space in front of the back four. Look for the full backs making the overlapping runs, sometimes get wide though so you don't become predictable.
Bender - Should Neymar play in a AM/SS type role, then he is your responsibility. Get deep in front of the back four, you are an excellent tackler and should show that today by constantly dispossessing him. If Neymar is outside of your jurisdiction, then watch their midfielders, make sure that they can't break forward.
Sahin - Support Bender defending by shielding the back four. Should their midfielders just sit deep then get forward and look to thread passes through. Try long balls up to Carroll. If they are more attacking than expected, don't get forward and instead protect the defense, stay deeper to enable our full backs to push on.
Carroll - Crosses and balls in the air will come to you, keep winning headers, be physical and scrap for everything. Position yourself on Schar/Ritter who is the weaker of their defenders. Be a threat from set pieces.
Tevez - Stick close to Carroll in order to get onto his knockdowns, and smash the ball home. Be an option for the central midfielders to pass to by getting a bit deeper and run at them with the ball. Whilst we have Carroll, we are not a one dimensional side and you should get involved in the passing and look to take long range shots.
SET PIECES
Left Corner - Rodelin
Right Corner - Sahin
Free Kicks - Tevez/Navas
Penalties - Tevez
SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning bring on Balmont for Rodelin. Move to a 4-3-3/4-5-1 just adding the extra midfielder to help us see the game out.
If drawing bring on Großkreutz and Fred for Rodelin and Carroll. Like for like changes, just adding some fresh legs.
If losing bring on Großkreutz and Fred for Bender and Coleman. Großkreutz goes to wing back, with Tevez behind the two strikers in an attacking 4-4-2 diamond.

Team Talk: Going to play a False No9 today with Coutinho fulfilling that role. Epitomised by Barcelona & Messi, the False 9 formation is heavily reliant on the "No9" being able lure a marker out of position distorting the opposition defense & picking a pass to the inside forwards runs. Coutinho's similarities to Messi, through ball passing & dribbling as well as his ability to face & run at his man with good finishing skills make him ideal to play as our False No9.
Expecting attacking wingbacks from FC WHU, we actually want to encourage them to get forward so our fullback will stay back & our three man midfield will leave space on the flank for them to bomb into. This gives our inside forwards room & a greater chance to get the better of their outside CB's. On the attack we will get the ball to Coutinho early who can then look for the through ball. Carrick & Gerrard are also capable of hitting through balls to our inside forwards. On a counter attack the same applies, we will just move the ball out from the back at a faster pace.
César: Stay alert. Keep the defensive line in shape with frequent communication. Claim all air balls by your 6 yard box. Be quick off your line when required, stay big for one on ones.
Simpson & Peluso: Firstly, don't start the match attacking today. FC WHU always have attacking fullbacks. Your only job today is to stop them crossing. When they come up get at them, keep goal side, keep them wide & get close to them so their crossing/passing angle is narrowed down. If you can tackle them quick then great, get the ball into our midfield or Coutinho.
Campagnaro & Costa: With Mandzukic injured FC WHU's biggest attacking threat is gone. Riviere should lead the line, if so one of you mark him when hes in your zone while the other to watch for the AM's runs most likely to be Cole or Ravel. If two strikers mark one each. Keep the striker(s) away from goal, dont let them get in behind, beat the to headers, push them onto their weaker foot. be aware of over the top balls to Riviere.
Gerrard, Carrick & Kirchhoff: Three man midfield to make even numbers in the middle of the park. On the off chance FC WHU play a four man midfield Gerrard & Kirchhoff will need to help our fullbacks with FC WHU's wingers & wingbacks.
Carrick: Will play the holding role, opposite to Verratti for them. Protect the back four. Get tackles in. Use your positional sense to make interceptions. Ball retention is important so if you have to play the short passes to any free player back or forward. Keep play moving & dictate the tempo. If Gerrard or Kirchhoff are assisting our fullbacks with the opposition wingbacks you need to cover for any opposition midfielders running on. Your crisp accurate passing ability to pick out our inside forwards when the make runs in behind.
Gerrard & Kirchhoff: Assist Carrick in turning over play & ball retention. Get tackles in. Gerrard is on our right side to double up on Kolarov if required, Kirchhoff left side to do the same with FC WHU right wingback, only if required. Its important to support Carrick so we can hold possession of the ball for long periods. Kirchhoff not to venture forward lots, act as a midfield enforcer. Gerrard to venture forward more, can shoot from distance.
Coutinho: Big role for your today. Acting as a False No9 I want you always stay central. On the defensive I want you to drop onto Verratti, rush him & try catch him out. Stay infront so he has to pass sideways & to the wingbacks.
As you are in the sole striker position you will have a marker on you, drop off to pick up the ball, this should drag your marker with you and/or encourage FC WHU's center backs to push up which will then allow our inside forwards Castro & Remy to use their pace & make their runs inside, its vital you hit that through pass when they make their runs. To mix play up also run at your marker & take him on. Shoot from anywhere inside 20 yards from goal.
Castro & Remy: No need to defend today. Usually three at the back you need to pin yourselves on to the outside center backs, this should keep the space for Coutinho big & also allow you to get the ahead when making your runs. Their wingbacks love to attack so they will be out the equation. With Coutinho pulling the central CB out of position you need to make your runs in behind to the central area where the space is, this should see you get chances on goal, hopefully a lot of one on ones to which mix up your finishing. Shoot on sight in the box unless someone is open in yards of space, Remy be more selfish & just go for goal.

Team Talk: Up against a Zwag side off the back of their first win but without their first choice CF in Giroud, with this in mind I want us to get physical on Klose and Coutinho both of whom do not appreciate that. They are also weak at fullback so I fully expect our new wingbacks to run the show, get up and down the pitch and run the game. Due to injury of Mandzukic we have altered back to 3-5-1-1 with Morrison in the gap between the three and Riviere, he is there to keep Gerrard back and be far to much for Carrick to handle. Up front Riviere is there to bang in chances
Jaaskelainen - Control your box and claim crosses, look to release the ball quickly to the wingbacks or to Verratti for him to distribute
Rami/Reid/Umtiti - As mentioned in the team talk lets get physical, Reid on Klose who will be playing as a lone striker (we presume). Make sure that you get to every cross first and make his life miserable, he will switch off. Rami and Umtiti both have the pace to cover our wingbacks and to pick up Remy and Candreva (maybe? or Castro?) if they come inside
Iraola/Kolorov - We now have a true attacking and defensive threat on the wings. As mentioned in the team talk I want you to run the show, get up and down the pitch and attack their fullbacks. When they have the ball get back to force their wingers to want to go wide. When they are wide stay on your feet and prevent the crosses coming in. In attack look to bomb forward and attack their fullbacks as their wingers wont track back. Look to link up with Morrison/Lampard/Diamé or get in pinpoint crosses for Riviere. Win us the game
Verratti - Deep lying playmaker as always, you know the drill by now! In defence I want you to pick up Gerrard if he gets forward, otherwise just enable us to outnumber them and win the ball back. When you have it look to spray it wide to the wingbacks as they maraud forward, or to Morrison when he is in space. You will also have the option of getting it tp Riviere over the top
Diamé/Lampard - A split role today. In defence I want Diamé to stick to Coutinho and make it incredibly hard for him, get physical on him as he will not appreciate that. Lampard on the other hand is there to pick up their wingers if they manage to get inside, crowd them out. On the attack Diamé to go more box to box to get up alongside Morrison and Lampard to look to arrive late to smash one into the bottom corner. Work together today
Morrison - Big game for you today. When they have the ball look to press Carrick as this will fluster him and prevent him from playing his naturaly game. In attack switch to drifting around to drag Carrick out of position, either he follows you or you get into space. Either way he isnt doing his job. This in turn will cause Gerrard to have to stay back more to help combat you which will nullify him going forward allowing us to win the middle of the park. Finally if you get a sniff have a shot and look to link up with the wingbacks and Riviere
Riviere - A very simple job for you today... SCORE! Their Centre backs aren't the quickest so look to drift around, this will provide room for Diamé and Lampard to get into as well as for the wingbacks if they wish to drive inside. When the wingbacks go wide look to get onto the end of everything. I want goals!

Alessandro: Keep in line with the back 4 and force the winger down the line so Pereira can't overlap, Make sure the cross doesn't make it to the box, If Pereira manages to overlap then follow him and Shirokov will come across to double up
Gargano: I want you to sit in front of the defense and make sure none of their midfield gets time on the ball especially the forward if he drops deep, When they come down the left wing go out and help Gamez with their overlapping.
Edenilson: Sit and marshall infront of the defense look to hassle the am and give no time on the ball, If they come down wing drop into defense to make a 5-4-1
Shirokov: Your going to dictate the play when we have the ball look to spray it into Pjanic or Muriel, If we're on the counter get it to a Am as soon as possible, If they come down right wing go over and help Alessandro
Pjanic: I want you to take on the lb with tricks cut inside on your left foot as Gamez will overlap you, I don't want you to follow LB when he attacks sit on the half way line and wait for the counter when get the ball run at the defender and take him on
Muriel: Today we're playing on the counter so when RB comes forward also sit at the half way line so can run in behind and take on the defense, Look to cut inside and link up with the other front 3 look for balls over the top of the defense
Ibisevic: Sit on the last man and try get in behind their defense and finish clinically , If they play a deep line then drift about linking up with the attacking 3 behind, don't be afraid to drop a little deeper and look to get a winger in on goal

"Okay lads, this is our first week together. I would like you all to go out there and play and show me what you can do and what you are capable of, try to enjoy it and make the most of it, we are up against a strong team this week and here are my instructions".
Goalkeepers: Tyton try and claim lose balls in your box and try to claim crosses/set pieces whenever you can.
Defenders: Manolev and Marcelo i would like you to use the wings where possible and feed passes into Townsend and Depay respectively. If you have to come in wide then try to feed the passes into Benat and Paulinho. I would also like you to get back as much as you can and cover Ferdinand and Ogbonna when we have set Pieces please. I would like Ogbonna and Ferdinand to go up for Set Pieces when you see fit.
Midfielders: Townsend and Depay i would like you both to try and use the width of the pitch, also try to feed passes inside to Paulinho and Benat when possible. If you keep attacking the wings, space will hopefully open up to be able to put crosses in for Matavz and Bony to attack. Paulinho i would like you to drop back and shield the defence when required please to provide an extra defender. If we can't find an opening on the wing or through the middle then try and be patient with the buildup and try and do your best to keep possession of the ball. Benat, when you can i would like you to push forward and provide an extra option for Matavz and Bony to try and play the ball into them, try to pass the ball to Depay and Townsend on the wings aswell when possible to spread the play and it will hopefully allow them to swing crosses into the box when possible.
Attackers: Matavz and Bony i would like you to try and move around as much as possible to make space and also i would like you to try and make runs into the box to get on the end of crosses provided from Townsend, Depay, Marcelo and Manolev. Matavz if you can i would like you to try and get onto the end of aerial passes and if you can bring the pass down to your feet and either have a shot or knock it down from the air into the path of Bony.
Subs: Bertrams, Willems, Bruma, Hoffman, Schaars, Oijen.
70th minute - Hoffman, Schaars and Oijen on for Benat, Paulinho and Bony and i will switch to a 4-5-1 formation with Schaars playing a defensive midfield role with Matavz up front on his own.

Team talk: we've been buggered with injuries to our backline so as a result lets play a high line defence and attack like we're Kevin batshit mental Keegan for the last game of the season, sure we'll concede but we may score more than them if the ball is in their half for most of the game. They've brought in several new players for this game so let's pressure them quickly in their own half into communication errors.
GK: Communication is key, instruct and inform your back four, tell them what is required from them with direction and purpose, command them and they shall respect you. Be dominant on crosses, make yourself big on shots. Look to be the first line of attack when you have the ball with your distribution and catch the opposition on the break.
CBs: Vertonghen to marshall the back line, a physical approach to the game, go toe to toe with the main striker and time tackles keeping goal side of him. Daems is to deal with a SS or any runs that have broken through
FBs: Look to keep their wingers pushed to the outside as much as possible, don't go to ground and hold up play. When the opportunity arises then use the flanks going forward and work with the high wingers to whip balls into their box for Tekkers
CM: Xavi, the puppetmaster, pull the strings in the centre of the pitch. Ahead of you is the movement, with Sam, Kruse and Aubameyang you have a plethora of options, alternate between them with balls to feet, tire the opposition down chasing shadows.
AM: Play in the hole and look to link up play between Xavi and our forward three, also don't be afraid to crack one from distance. When required drop deeper and assist in midfield duties to take pressure off Xavi. If there's the space knock a few well timed through balls through to Villa.
WG: Sam and Aubameyang have a fluid role as wingers, both with the remit to come inside whenever available, use their speed and creativity to always be one step ahead of their defensives with tricks and movement, when the other winger has the ball then ensure you get into the box to assist Tekkers. If needed go on the outside and whip balls across the box for Villa to connect with. Where needed drop back and assist our FBs to stop them being doubled up on.
ST: Tekkers to play on the last shoulder, come in from an offside role when available and drag their back line back, use your timing and reading of the game to burst onto crosses or through balls.
Subs:
If losing at 70m. Bernard > Sam: like for like but with fresh legs the speed against a tired FB should push through.

Team Talk Gladbach our opponents today and judging by their performance last week and lack of morale at the club and nothing to play for we will play as the instigators. Use the base in midfield to break attacks and quickly start ours. Use width and centre to get at them.
DEFENSIVE TACTICS
When we don't have the ball our two wingers will drop of the striker and go into a 4-5-1, one of Matuidi or Khedira to put pressure on Xavi and the other sits infront of our defenders. Back four work as a unit.
ATTACKING TACTICS
Wingers bomb forward expose space behind FB Meyer get forward and one of Khedira and Matuidi to drive forward giving us another option in attack, Get balls in for Streller and one FB attacking giving us option wide.
Sommer - Always communicate get the ball long to Streller, try to catch ball but punch if you need.
Uchida & Xhaka - They have pace outwide so jockey your man and don't dive in try to keep him wide if he comes in one of the DM will help you. One attacks at a time.
Ivanov & Ajeti Ivanov pick up main striker don't let him settle on ball pressure him, Ajeti watch any passes made through centre try to intercept and block them.
Khedira, Matuidi & Schurrle - The trio in midfield, Meyer get forward playing key passes find pockets in opposition to expose them. One of the two deeper midfielders will drive forward taking it in turns to attack and defend. High pressure when they land into our half of the pitch. Hit ball wide for our wingers to run onto or to their feet.
Salah & Schurrle Salah to use the width of the pitch to get crosses in at a consistent basis for the attackers while Schurrle will have more license to cut in and link with midfield and getting shots onto goal. Drop back when we don't have the ball.
Streller their main defender Benatia is out make it count use your size to knock balls on hold up play keep it simple with your passing and work around the 18 yard box be aware of crosses coming in.
SUB 75 MIN IF WINNING
Meyer off Frei on (Midfield goes compact and look to keep possesion)
SUB 75 MIN IF LOSING

TACTICS
We had a very good start to the season but a wretched run of form since has cost us any hope of getting anything this season. We want to finish strongly though and want to win today. We are trying something a little different, looking to defend deep and counter attack with loads of pace in a fluid front three. They also have no substiute keeper, so try to injure theirs if the opportunity arises.
DEFENSE
- Target the lack of creativity from deep in their midfield, pressurise their defensive midfielders as they aren't great ball players.
- Move to a back three when defending, ensure the full backs are always backed up as their inside forwards are their key players.
- Sahin and Bender should Poopie deep in front of the defense to limit the room Eriksen has to play in. Be quick to pressurise him.
ATTACK
- The full backs should push forward as much as possible with Sahin and Bender getting deep to cover.
- The front three should be fluid and interchanging, use the pace and movement to create space.
- Play a fast passing game to get the ball upfield, immediately on winning the ball break and play exciting football.
PLAYER ROLES
Enyeama - Save the shots, don't let anything past. Simple.
Großkreutz - You have been playing at right back for Dortmund and playing well. Get forward as much as possible to provide width and get crosses in. Defensively get narrower and don't allow the winger to cut in.
Knoche - Support Großkreutz, ensure that should they counter, you are on hand to help out.
Basa - Man-mark the main striker, they have quite a few options but I think it will be Siem De Jong. Either way, get tight to him. Be vocal and a leader at the back, organize a strong back five line which will be impenetrable.
Boilesen - Show they were wrong to sell you to us. You are equally comfortable at left or centre back so bridge the gap. Support Digne with his winger.
Digne - Get forward as much as possible, making runs down the wing at them, especially on the break. Defensively don't let the winger cut inside, that is crucial. Force him wide.
Sahin - Sit deep alongside Bender and look to break up the play. You are the more creative player and should show a great range of passing to get the ball forward quickly. But don't get too adventurous, sit deeper to allow the full backs forward.
Bender - Cover every blade of grass in midfield, sit deep with Sahin and keep Eriksen out of the game by getting the area in front of the defense well covered.
Navas - More of an orthodox right winger, try to stretch the defense by getting wide and letting Großkreutz undercut. But sometimes get right infield and take a shot. Run at the defense on the counter attack.
Cassano - Make clever runs to draw defenders out of position, go wide, get on the last man, just keep moving with the ball. Try to force their defensive line deeper to allow Navas and Pedro more room for potshots.
Pedro - Constantly cut inside and run at their centre backs, scare them with your pace and trickery and make things difficult for them. Be a menace to their defense, our key man today.
SET PIECES
Left Corner - Sahin
Right Corner - Navas
Free Kicks - Pedro/Cassano
Penalties - Cassano
SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning bring on Coleman for Navas/Pedro. Move Großkreutz to left wing.
If drawing bring on Cabella for Boilesen, move to a 4-3-3 with Cabella the most attacking of the midfield trio.
If losing bring on Cabella, Sanogo and Roux for Sahin, Cassano and Boilesen, move to 4-4-2, complete change in tactic with balls flying into the box. Get goals to get back into the game.

Team talk: We’re going with a base 4-2-3-1 but with the focus being on the AMs squeezing in and looking to dominate in the middle. We respect their attack and their wings are dangerous so our full backs are to be defence-first and our DMs will cover for them if they do get caught. The creativity of the AM package is designed to give chances to Milito, selected for his clinical finishing.
Cillessen: Communicate, catch what you can and parry anything away from the goal.
van Rhijn/Antonelli: Defensive remits today, and I want you to sit in and dog any wingers they may bring. If they aren't looking to attack from wide then just make sure you're taking up good positions and keeping a good line with your CBs. Bring the ball forward when we're attacking but don't commit past the halfway line.
Dede/de Vrij: Their usual big centre forward is absent today so we’re only expecting one up top, possibly with a player just off him. Either way, Dede take the bigger and less mobile one and de Vrij watch for players breaking centrally, otherwise do the mopping up as required.
N de Jong/Poulsen: Defensive mindset in the base of our midfield, and we want to be watchful for the threat their AMs pose. Take a half of the pitch, each of you, and then enforce your will on it. If wingers are cutting inside it is your job to stamp the threat out and if the full backs are caught a little up field, you are the ones to funnel in and cover as necessary. Going forward isn’t a priority but Poulsen can step up and close the gap to our frontline when we get the ball.
Mirallas/Eriksen/Florenzi: Three creative types and the plan is to let you basically free form and cause problems. Sit high when we have the ball and try to find pockets of space, interchanging with each other and opening gaps with runs. When you’re in possession look for each other and make options for the passer. We’re looking to be narrow and attack through their CBs today so play the numbers game once we’re behind the midfield. Going wide is an option but not option A. Defensively, track with the full back if they are breaking – whichever of you happens to be that side of the field!
Milito: I don’t want you to be playing with the ball much, I want you to be running, hustling and taking a touch before shooting. You’re staying central and you’re occupying one of the CBs at all times. Move for the men behind you – both to create space for them and to get into good areas – and when they find you your job is simply to score.
Subs after 70 mins
if winning:
Mirallas and Florenzi off, Varela and Arnautovic on: fresh legs and both will be dedicated wingers. The aim is to add extra defensive strength to the wings where they are strongest and to close the game out with work rate.
If losing:
Poulsen and Florenzi off, Varela and L. de Jong on: go to a classic 4-4-2 with Mirallas left, Varela right, and de Jong holding for Eriksen to attack. Get the ball wide and get it to the two up top.

Cassio(cassette player):
Be strong in the air, don't take risks. Look to start a counter attack if possible. Command the area and organize the wall if the opponents get a free kick within shooting distance.
Jesus Gamez & Felipe Luis: Be wary of the wingers, they are very fast, Work with the CB's to nullify the threat. Remember to get forwards and overlap our wingers to give them the option
Vidic & Ginter: Work together to track forward but be wary of the other Attackers coming forwards. Don't give away free kicks near the box, otherwise they will have a very good chance to score. Be solid, if in doubt boot the ball away and don't try and pass it out of danger.
Gargano: I've want you to get amongst the midfielders give them no time on the ball put your tackle in don't let their AM's get a shot away . Help out the full backs if they need assistance.
Shirokov: Knock balls up the field in behind the defense to get our pace in behind, if being pressured move forward and look for gaps, Sit deeper when defending and look to get us away quickly on counter with ranging balls, Look to get in the box
Ibai: Your playing wider today then usual want to take advantage of the LB's lack of pace, so get at him with trickery and run beyond him, look to get on the end of Shirokov' balls in (the) behind.
Januzaj: Attack the right back with Felipe backing up and don't be afraid to have a shot when near the opposition box. look to play in Muriel/Ibisevic or dribble at the defense and get the overlapping Felipe in
Muriel: Your playing just off Ibisevic in an SS role, make runs beyond him, Use your pace and dribbling to cause their defense issues. look to exploit the lack of pace. if get a DM around you go up top to a 4-4-2

Defensive Overview

When not on the ball, the wingers and full backs retreat to create 2 blocks of 4, with Wanyama being the main energy source and Sturridge staying forward to provide the out ball. As a team, we will collectively press our opponents, right from their defensive third of the pitch. we will look to stop the opposition to play at their most comfortable and limit their time on the ball. The two furthest forward attackers will run at the defence when they have possession, as the opposition advance further forward, more men will be tracking the man in possession. Looking to crowd out the player in possession, pressuring him to concede the ball. The two wingers track back to cover the flanks, and any gap left by a pressing player. All of the team pressing involves the defence playing a high line, looking to crowd out the striker with the full backs having the pace to make recovery runs should the offside trap be broken.
Offensive Overview
----------MDS
------SD-----KZ
NC------SK------FB
---------VW
LH------RB-----ADN
---------DS
We will be looking to play a quick attacking style of football. the midfield have the ability to quickly create attacks with the defence and the holding players looking to get it to one of the attacking 3 quickly, when Barkley and Holtby are on the ball, the other 2 attackers will be looking to get the defenders on their toes looking for the through ball, this should aim to pull defenders back and allow the creative 2 that bit extra space to take on players themselves. Both wide players will naturally be cutting inside so the full backs will be pushing up the pitch to stretch play and provide the wide option.
Set Pieces
Corners - Holtby takes corners, the 2 CB's go into the box, the FB's and Kehl stay back to prevent counters, the CB's, Di Natale and Sturridge attack the ball, Wanyama looks to annoy the opposition keeper looking to limit his ability to move off the goalline. Barkley takes a position just outside the box to pick up any weak defensive headers or knockdowns.
Free Kicks
Di Natale takes Direct FK's

Penalties - Di Natale is the designated taker.

Team Talk: Final game of the season and we're going with something different than our trademark 5-3-2, partly due to injuries and partly to catch PSV by suprise. We're going to pack the midfield and look to disrupt their play which will allow us to break with pace with the fullbacks getting forward. Morrison is their to get between the lines and keep PSV constantly guessing as to where the attack will come from next whilst with two forwards we can keep their CBs busy. We will have plenty of chances to score today as we will always have the numerical advantage. I want us to test Butland as much as we possibly can and finish this season with a bang!
Jaaskelainen - Control your box and claim any crosses that come in, look to release the ball quickly to the fullbacks or to Verratti
Chiriches/Umtiti - Umtiti to stick to Bony and use your strength to combat his, you have more pace and movement than he does. Chiriches to control the back line and to pick up their SS if they play one, if not then watch for breaks for deep. You both need to be aware to direct Diamé/Rabiot to cover Kolorov/Iraola
Kolorov/Iraola - You have permission to get forward today but make sure you don't shy away from your defensive duties. Make sure you get back and look to force their wingers inside so we can cramp them out, Townsend in particular is more dangerous when he is outside so lets nerf that. Make sure we don't give away silly freekicks. On the attack you'll just have to compete against their fullbacks who are a week link in their team as their wingers won't track back. Look to beat them outwide before aiming for Mandzukic's big head
Verratti - Deep lying playmaker again today where you can drop away from their centre mids and dictate play, look to spread the ball outwide to our fullbacks when they get forward, Rivière and Morrison as they get into space or onto the big head of Mandzukic. If at Mandzukic then he can knock it down down to one of Rivière or Morrison. In defence look to pick up their CAM if they play one, if not then pick up Paulinho when he gets forward
Rabiot/Diamé - Both box to boxing today. In defence look to get back and ensure Paulinho/Benat have no room to work in and allow us to always outnumber them centrally. With their wingers being forced inside you can make sure that they are always crowded out. Diamé to focus on Paulinho and get physical on him, Rabiot to pick up Benat if he gets forward. Look to win the ball and break quickly, linking up with Verratti when possible, before offering an option in the final third
Morrison - Quite a free role today in behind the two strikers, I want you to keep Benat back and hassel him when he gets the ball so he can't dictate the pace of the game. When we have the ball look to drift around and find space, if this means going out wide then do that to the aid our fullbacks or centrally to ensure we outnumber them. Look to take a shot when you can as we need to test Butland as often as possible
Mandzukic/Rivière - Back to tradition with one target man and one fox in the box. We will be aiming any and all crosses (as well as glorious passes from Verratti) at Mandzukic as he will be more than a handful for them. Mandzukic is likely to be being marked by Ogbonna and that is fine as it means Rivière can use his pace to destroy Rio. Mandzukic to finish any chances if they come and look to flick the ball on to Rivière/Morrison or down to Rabiot/Diamé as they get forward. Rivière to play off Rio's shoulder and pounce on anything that gets through. Today I want Goals, Goals, Goals to end the Season!
---
Corners - Verratti, fullbacks stay back with Rabiot half way back. Aim for the big heads of Mandzukic/Diamé/Umtiti/Chiriches
Freekicks (Indirect) - Verratti
Freekicks (Direct) - Kolorov
Penalties - Mandzukic

Subs:
Regardless of score at 70 minutes - Iraola off - Rafinha on. Like for like at right back with fresh legs to keep up the threat on the wings
Regardless of score at 80 minutes, Rabiot off - Mexes on. Go to 5-3-2 with Mexes as the central of the three CB's, Chiriches on the right of the trio, Umtiti on the left of the trio and Morrison dropping back to form the central trio (see below). Allow the wingbacks to get forward more and ensure we finish the season with a win

Subs 75th minute: Bertrams, Marcelo, Bruma, Hoffman, Schaars, Bony - Bony on for Matavz, Marcelo on for Willems and Hoffman on for Benat.
Instructions: I am playing a 4-5-1 formation for this match.
Goalkeeper - I would like you to try and claim everything you can from set pieces etc.
Defenders - I would like to try and play direct and controlled through the centre today however when possible i would like to you to try and use the width of the pitch. I would like you try and start the attacks with pace on passes and move the ball around crisply as much as you can. Willems and Manolev, Depay and Townsend will most likely be available for passes on the wings and also so will Paulinho and Benat in the centre, try to keep possession but Paulinho and Benat is where most of the attacks will go through due to the style i am trying to play today. Ferdinand and Ogbonna i would like you both to stay strong and try and keep possession as much as you can.
Midfielders - Paulinho and Benat, the attacks will most likely be coming through you guys today due to the style we are playing. I also would like you two to provide support for Ferdinand and Ogbonna aswell when required. Kasami is playing in front of you guys and Townsend and Depay will provide the width. I would like you all to combine together to keep possession but also try and play directly through to Kasami and Matavz who will be waiting for the passes and through balls. I would like you to play through the middle as much as possible but we can also use the width and swing crosses into Matavz to try and get on the end of it. The aim of this set-up is to try and keep the ball in the oppositions half as much as possible. Townsend and Depay i would like you two to provide defensive support for Manolev and Willems when required aswell.
Attacker - Matavz you are a lone striker today. I would like you to try and make runs as much as you can to receive the through passes provided through the middle but also when you can i would like you to try and run into the box to get on the end of crosses if they are provided. I would like you to try and be as strong as you can in the air and to hold up the ball when required which should allow Kasami to get involved in the attacks aswell as others. Kasami - You are playing in the number 10 role today which means that the central passes will be played into you on the way through to Matavz and i would like you to try and provide as much support as you can for Matavz in attack.

Team talk: Tricky to know what to expect from a side with a new manager but he’s rated by others so I’m guessing his tactics will be good. My basic approach to this one is that I have no fear of any of their wingers or fullbacks causing us problems, so we’re attacking through the middle with a festive Christmas tree, which allows me to get a whole lot of creativity on the field. We want to attack early and often and we want to end the season swinging like Azzy’s mum.
Cillessen: Communicate, catch what you can and parry anything away from the goal.
van Rhijn/Antonelli: You’re both free to push up the field and our set up is aimed at allowing you to do that. Provide width for our attacks and get crosses in if there is a good opportunity. Defensively, get back into position and stand your men up – keep them outside if they come with wingers, I can’t see any terrifying crossers or pace merchants to make you Poopie your pants.
Dede/de Vrij: Dede take the bigger and less mobile one and de Vrij watch for players breaking centrally, otherwise do the mopping up as required. They may choose to go with two up top so if that is the case mark one each, but don’t be dragged deep. Keep the integrity of our defensive line so space can’t be exploited.
N de Jong/Poulsen: Defensive mindset in the base of our midfield, and we want to be watchful for the threat their AMs pose. You’re on the outside of a three for a reason, so if wingers are cutting inside it is your job to stamp the threat out and if the full backs are up field, you are the ones to funnel in and cover. If they play with little to no width then sit in the middle and clog up the space for their admittedly strong CM area.
S. de Jong: You’re the centre-piece of the three and you’re the one that is tasked with transitioning us from our half to theirs. Get on the ball, use your work rate and push us on and use your passing to select the right options. When we’re not in possession, sit between Nige and Poulsen and use positioning to nick the ball back.
Eriksen/Florenzi: Both operating as AMs today and both demanding the ball and looking to create chances. Either slip Milito in, work it between the two of you and get in behind, or use the width from the full backs to create the space. Either way, occupy the are between midfield and defence and impact the game. Take a crack on goal if there is space, and when the ball is wide, one of you is to be looking for scraps at the back of the box.
Milito: Classic single forward, try and keep the CBs occupied and hang on their shoulders with an eye on where the space may be to get the ball to. Operate in the 18 yard box and be on the move when we have it wide.

Butland - GK
Manolev - RB Ogbonna - CB Ferdinand - CB Willems - LB
Benat - CM Paulinho - CM
Townsend -AM Kasami - AM Depay - AM
Bony - ST
Subs: Bertrams, Marcelo, Bruma, Hoffman, Schaars, Matavz. - Hoffman on for Benat, Matavz on for Bony and Marcelo on for Willems - 70th minute.
Instructions: I am playing a 4-2-3-1 formation today.
Goalkeeper - Jack, welcome to PSV. Today i am planning to play possession as much as possible so try to play shorter passes out instead of longer passes. Try to come and claim every ball you can from set pieces etc.
Defenders - Willems and Manolev, i would like you two to try and provide support for attack and defence today. Try to keep possesion as much as possible and i would like you both to provide the width as much as you can by running up and down the pitch. Ferdinand and Ogbonna i would like you guys to be the start of the possession buildup and play the ball around as much as you can and to provide options for each other by making yourselves available for passes as much as you can. In defence i would like you both to try and clear everything from the box when you can and we may come under some pressure at times which is where this can be handy.
Midfielders - I've gone for Benat and Paulinho in a central midfield role today, this position will require you to try and get some defending in aswell as providing support for the attacking players. This role will most likely also require you to be in control of possession quite a lot and this will be where most of our attacks are likely to start from. I would like you both to try and cover the central defence as much as possible when required to support Ferdinand and Ogbonna. Kasami, Townsend and Depay i would like you guys to keep possesion but also try and play as much as we can in the oppositions half. Depay and Townsend i would like you to try and do some tracking back when required to provide some support in the wide areas for Willems and Manolev. Also Townsend, Depay and Kasami i would like you to try and play passes into Bony who will be trying to make as much space as possible in the oppositions half to create chances for you and himself. Try and look for the through balls as much as possible.
Attacker - Bony, you are up front on your own today. I have asked Townsend, Depay and Kasami to try and play throughballs as much as possible so i would like you to try and make as many runs in and behind the defence and make moves in the oppositions half. You may be required to hold the ball up aswell which i think will bring the other attacking players into the attack.

Team Talk PSV today good side but we are capable of winning this. Looking to be very solid in midfield with central midfielders sitting back and pushing forward only if we need a goal. Let them pass around in their own half when they come to ours suffocate them by making them play backwards.
DEFENSIVE TACTICS
The FB will sit back and tuck in slightly and go out when the winger is on the ball, our wingers have to get back and help defending. Khedira and Matudi to sit back and screen the defence, I wnat CB to sit back and don't lose your positions. Schurlle to put pressure on their ball playing midfielder.
ATTACKING TACTICS
Wingers gets forward and get balls into box for attackers and the FB will join them giving room or taking players away, if we need goal Khedira or Matuidi will join attackers from deep. Schurrle to zip around and when on ball look to penetrate them by running at thgem and making them commit which opens up room. Streller typical CF knock ball on for Schurrle get into box and keep it simple.
Sommer - Always communicate get the ball long to Streller, try to catch ball but punch if you need.
Uchida & Xhaka - Keep wingers on the outside try and stop crosses getting in the way jockey pushing them away from danger and attack one at a time.
Ivanov & Ajeti Ivanov pick up main striker don't let him settle on ball pressure him, Ajeti watch any passes made through centre try to intercept and block them.
Khedira & Matuidi screen defenders follow your runners and get in the way making it hard for them to pass through us, intercept and read the game judging where passes go. When we need to attack one goes forward like Toure Yaya driving through with power and no fear.
Salah & Degen Old school wingers get forward running at defender with pace and trickery get the ball with variery of passes such as near/far post, shot cross. Salah come inside if you get chance and both must help track back.
Streller & Schurrle Streller as the forward holding ball bullying defenders get in the way make life hard for them keep it simple pass and move. Schurrle free role in attack run at them go wide open space and if you have room take a shot you are the creator of the side be brave and ambitious with your player.
SUB 75 MIN IF WINNING
Degen off Delgado on (Fresh legs and help us centrally aswell as wide)
SUB 75 MIN IF LOSING
Degen off Bellamy on (Schurrle goes wide Bellamy upfront with Streller and we go 4-4-2)

Right lads, keep it solid in the middle and attack down the flanks. Defensively, we press the ball high up the pitch and win it back as early as possible. Offensively, we keep it simple, attack the full backs and get balls into the box.
GK Stand tall, come for crosses that are close to you making them need to aim crosses further out. Distribute short as much as possible. Be on your toes for balls in behind the defence and sweep them up.
FBs Pick up any wide men playing track their runs, keep them facing away from goal and running down blind alleys. When you get the chance, get forward and join the attack, although never at the same time. Get crosses into the box varying between high balls to Drogba and lower ones for runners to come on to.
CBs – Jagielka will pick up the main striker, staying close to him and don’t give him an inch. Subotic will either pick up the second striker or play spare sweeping up any loose balls and picking up runs from midfield. Be vocal and keep an organised line. Make it difficult to run through us and the opposition need a moment of magic to break us open.
Central Mids – Gonalons is to sit and protect the back four. Break down opposition attacks before they get going. Maher to play box to box, drifting into space and looking to support the attack and play the killer ball. When we don’t have possession, help Gonalons defensively, protecting the back four and giving the full backs more freedom to get forward.
Wingers – Get on the ball wide and run at the full backs with pace. Beat the man and get balls into the box, varying between high balls for Drogba and low balls for runners to come on to. When the full back gets forward, come narrower to create the overlap. Defensively, pressurise the ball high up the pitch as soon as we lose it.
Strikers – Drogba is the focal point of the attack. He should look to hold the ball up and bring others into play. Bully the centre backs and leave them relieved when the game is over. Get on the end of the balls into the box. Rossi to play off Drogba. Look to get around him when balls are coming into him and feed off his supply. Drop deeper at times to pick up the ball and play the wingers in behind when they come inside. Defensively, pressurise the ball high up the pitch as soon as we lose it.

If losing or drawing on 70 minutes – Susaeta, Cole off, Gurpegi and Schmelzer on

Southampton v Ballbag
Injuries: Christian Abbiati, Dejan Lovren, Mathieu Flamini, Francesco Totti
(Ballbag injuries not known at time of writing)
Starting XI:Mark Schwarzer
Darijo Srna - Younes Kaboul - Dante - Luke Shaw
Adam Lallana - Steven Defour - Antonio Nocerino - Steven Pienaar
Romelu Lukaku - Jermain Defoe
Subs: Julian Speroni, Nacho Fernandez, Ryan Giggs, Tomas Rosicky, Bryan Ruiz, Zakaria Bakkali, Saido Berahino
------------------
Manager's note: Must win game against Ballbag, they will also push for the win but with our players in a strong 4-4-2 we should have the ability to break them down going forward while remaining strong in defence. Lallana and Pienaar can cut inside and cause problems for Ballbag while Srna and Shaw are ideal to overlap and get crosses into the box for Lukaku and Defoe. The four of Kaboul/Dante/Defour/Nocerino will have to be extremely solid to deal with Ballbag while also using the ball wisely and as soon as we get on the ball, the aim is to get at the Ballbag defence and create as many chances as possible for the front two. Forget about Championship permetations, win the game before being concerned about that.
Schwarzer, distribute from the back to the fullbacks/CM's, stay in communication with your defence throughout, be wary of long range efforts and ensure you stay big for any one on ones.
Kaboul/Dante, Dante to mark their striker, Drogba or Villa depending on injuries, force him high up the pitch thus limiting his impact close to goal, and Kaboul to sit and watch the runners from deep/wide, or if they play two strikers track the second striker and do the same job Dante does to his marker. When in possession bring the ball out of defence and use the midfielders ahead of you to help us play out from the back.
Srna/Shaw, need you both to work the flanks today, be wary of the Ballbag AM's, especially Muniain if he plays. When in possession, need you two to push forward, be the wide options for our midfielders and wingers. Operate on a "one stays one goes" policy to make sure we don't get caught out on the counter attack. Get crosses in for Lukaku and Defoe to cause mayhem. In defence, force their wingers wide as both will like to cut inside, block any crosses at source.
Defour/Nocerino, need you two to work incredibly hard for us today. I want both to anchor the midfield, work as two box to box midfielders but when we're under pressure I need you to both play as DM's. When in possession and box to box, one sits and one goes, making sure we're not punished on the counter attack. I expect maximum effort and desire as a minimum. If by chance we are going to win the league, I want it to be because of you two. Don't allow any potential Ballbag AM any extra time on the ball and if they play two strikers I want you to help out to outnumber their front two, limiting their time and space on or near the ball.
Lallana/Pienaar, With the ball get forward alongside Lukaku and Defoe, put the Ballbag defence under immense pressure and create chances. You'll be effectively a front four so use the options around you to stretch the Ballbag defence. Shoot if you get the chance, look for Lukaku and Defoe making runs in behind the defence and also use the fullbacks overlapping to create space, or use them to get crosses into the area. Without the ball, drop back alongside Defour and Nocerino to create a midfield four, make it hard for Ballbag to break us down when they have the ball but pressurise them high up the pitch to leave their midfield and fullbacks with as little time on the ball as possible.
Lukaku/Defoe, work together as a front two today. You are still two of the most in form strikers in the league. Your styles are different so I want you to utilise Lukaku's strength and height with Defoe's sharpness and pace. Both of you are clinical finishers and cause problems to the best of defences. Shoot on sight, use your strike partner making runs to create openings or supply them, and be aware of Shaw/Srna/Pienaar/Lallana passing or crossing into the area for either of you to get onto the end of. For the occasional long pass, Lukaku to hold up the ball or flick it on towards Defoe making runs in behind.
------------------
Subs 70 mins:
If winning: Defoe off, Nacho on. Nacho to CB alongside Dante and Kaboul, change to 5-4-1 and see out the win.
If drawing/losing: Nocerino and Lallana off, Ruiz and Bakkali on. Ruiz to AM, Bakkali to RW and run at the Ballbag LB. Get crosses in. 4-1-3-2 with fullbacks pushing to wingback roles. Push for the win.
If still drawing/losing at 85 mins: Kaboul off, Berahino on. Extra striker upfront as the 4-1-3-2 becomes 3-1-3-3. Goals needed.

Team Talk: OK, last game of season. Go out there, attack & enjoy. Route of attack today is to get the ball wide to Robben & Remy or central to Giroud who can hold up play till the wingers support.
César: Stay alert. Keep the defensive line in shape with frequent communication. Claim all air balls by your 6 yard box. Be quick off your line when required, stay big for one on ones.
Defence: Keep an organised back line, play the offside trap/ Man mark. Keep wingers wide, don't let them inside & block crosses. Fullbacks not to attack, just get the ball to our wide men. Centre backs to challenge for every ball in the air. Keep goal side of the opposition strikers, keep the at a distance from goal so they become frustrated & hopefully the just shoot from range out of that frustration.
Midfield: Carrick & Kirchhoff to protect back four, set the tempo of the match. Control the play. Off the ball work hard, get the tackles in & work on making interception, all vital to retaining possession. Distribute the ball to the wide men if open otherwise look central for Coutinho or Giroud. Coutinho to play more attacking today, off the ball close the opposition down in the central areas. On the offensive carry the ball forward, want you to be the one who take the pressure off us by getting the ball into attack, try play the wide men in or even Giroud, on the deck or over the top. In the final third off the ball look sit on the edge of the box as our wingers will tuck in & may need a passing outlet, shoot from distance if a chance opens up. On the ball use your trickery to get into space, draw opposition players to you making space for others & look for that killer pass to our attackers.
Attack: No need to track back, just stay forward & focus on getting us chances & goals. Robben & Remy start our wide & stay wide, once we pick up possession of the ball its go time. One or the other, make your runs in behind or stay wide, so if one of you comes inside to play off Giroud the other stay wide. When Giroud is holding play up time your run to receive & get in on goal. When receiving the ball wide look to dribble inside, the defenders will expect this & try to keep you wide, especially Robben but you both have the quality, especially Robben, to beat your man, pace for Remy & quick feet with a turn of pace for Robben. When coming inside both of you have permission to shoot on sight in the box, Robben you can shoot from where ever you what, pretty much do as you wish. Giroud to stay on the deepest defender, that way we will keep the pitch big. Play off his shoulder or with your back to goal hold up play then bring the wingers into the game.
