Sheamus Injured
WWE.com is reporting that Sheamus requires shoulder surgery and will be out of action for 4-6 months.
Whilst Sheamus has been somewhat a workhorse over the last 2 years I personally think this could be a blessing in disguise. I like big Sheamus but he’s started to become a bit stale and he’s been lost in midcard wilderness for a while now. Although nobody likes to see a guy get injured I think this could do him the world of good and it gives the fans a chance to actually miss him. When he returns I’d like to see a slight character change, a more aggressive and edgier Sheamus maybe even with a fuller beard and lose the spiky hair.
Could definitely be a case of short term pain long term gain this one.

Shoe-in for a Rumble return. Timing is perfect for it.

Guys not even been opened up yet and you've booked his return Samo
They turned him into a Cena-lite with all his crappy jokes
I like to see him return with a ridiculously dark tan and over the coming weeks/months see him get darker and darker addicted to tanning, like an Anti-Michael Jackson

Definitely see him coming back straight into a WM fued though. Even if he recovers quickly can see him being held back for the Rumble, and on the back of a return could see him in a fued for the WHC.

Re: Sheamus Injured
I really hope they use this opportunity to refresh his character, I actually think Sheamus is really talented and should not be in the position he is now where he is a joking, jovial guy. His look is unique, he has an intensity a lot of other top stars lack and he's actually one of the best big men in WWE at the moment. He is made to either be a monster heel, or even better a bad-ass face.
I was heavily in favour of his heel-turn as I thought he could play an intense face very well, somebody the fans love to see because he just has the ability to mow through people. It started well with his mini-feud with Mark Henry but went quickly down hill as they went down the comedy route which very rarely works. I can't think of a single comedy face who is actually, genuinely entertaining for a consistent period. Sheamus doesn't suit it at all and this injury could be a blessing in disguise if WWE use it.

That's a shame for him, I thought he was still off because of his leg. He definitely needs an image tweek or two, just to make him less Cena-ish.
