Canada Controversy, apparently Canadians annoy Ernie, join the club buddy
Ernie took on the Canada crowd which channeled their inner Ahole throughout the match cheering Ernie's faults and doubles. Gulbis at one point had 4 straight double faults in a game, something that I don't think I have ever even managed. And he started going at it with the crowd at one point sarcastically clapping after his own double in an extracted lets say retarded manner mimicking the crowd. Booing his challenges, cheering his faults and errors, and Ernest giving it back to them and commenting negatively about the crowd to the media afterwards.
Raonic jobs Del Potro out of maybe the match when late in the third set he touches the net and keeps quite about it. Del Po would go on to immediately lose his serve in large part because of that point he lost the match. This incident really changed the result of this match as much if not more than the Djokovic net touching incident at RG. Afterwards Raonic incited even more controversy by admitting he knew he touched the net and keeping quiet. The young man made a mistake as in the etiquette of the game he should have fessed up, he violated a key rule of tennis play. Should he have fessed up? Does this make him a cheat?
Davydenko withdrew after just a few games against Popsil in the quarters. He seemed to imply and here maybe the translation is the issue that he was not that hurt and when he saw that his opponent was playing too well and that he was injured he pulled out. What about the fans who paid money and turned up that day? Will it be odd if Davydenko now shows up and plays in Cincy? Was he injured or did he have a niggle that he could have played through? Gilbert was saying that Nikolay has the serving yips when he goes onto the big courts and has developed some sort of mental block and that this contributed to his withdrawal. Can a former top 3 player all of sudden develop the yips in front of the big crowd on center?

Canada is one of the most sporting countries, we here didn't like what Milos did against Del Po, some of us even booed Milos for it, however its great finally we have two warriors lifting Canadian tennis to new heights, calling these simple incidents a controversy is bull poo, we cheer Roger, we cheer Rafa, Djoko is finally getting his presence felt with the crowd, Murray got a huge fan base as well.
Djoko's arrogance at his early part of his career never got him fans, but he is slowly changing the tide and he do have a huge fan base in Montreal even though not the case in Toronto.
