Re: Interrailing blog! :D
This brings back memories. 13 years ago I did Paris-Berlin-Prague-Rome-Paris circuit on the interrail pass. I skipped Amsterdam and Venice because we didn't quite have time and have still never been to either to this day.
In a way, this makes me want to be about 20 again. I remember that I could be excited just to be independent traveller in a cool European city. Nowadays I'd have to go to somwhere really spectacular and exotic to get the same excitement level.

Your blog is to some extent quite like me when I was your age, but not so much like me now. It's quite interesting in a way. Kind of nostalgic.

I shall read it tomorrow. I've always wanted to go travelling despite the fact I hate..... travelling.

I dislike travelling. It's not so much the destination, but the travelling involved in getting there.

Ahh I see. Well for me the places themselves make up for it. Is this not the same for you?

I guess Robert Louis Stevenson saw things differently when he wrote "to travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive"ryan86 wrote:I dislike travelling. It's not so much the destination, but the travelling involved in getting there.
But there's a big part of me that agrees with you ryan, mainly because travel in general just seems a lot more hassle these days than it used to be, and no sign of it getting any easier. At least trains, and some of the more historic 'glamorous' railway stations, still have a certain romance about them - in contrast to modern airports which are invariably pretty soul-less places, not helped of course by long queues and tiresome (though sadly necessary) security procedures.
Some great write-ups there LuvSports, particularly enjoyed your enthusiastic review of Prague .....

In some ways an airport is the opposite of travel. For a start you are not going anywhere, you are just sat there. Secondly, they are all the same. Thirdly, they are very glossy and boring, nothing to discover.
Road trip, trains, night buses and hitch hiking, that's travelling.

When he mentions the beautiful sights of Prague that reminds me yes the women were pretty hot.

You could say the girls in Prague were in excess of those in England.
