Pat not giving up...
Some people really don't know when to quit... see the BBC article.
To be honest unless it's an incredibly well paid role or there's more dirt that he needs to stay in position to hide, I'm struggling to see why he'd want to continue. It will be a bad day for cycling if he remains in place, especially if he's changed the criteria to stand (and relied on the support of members with very limited participation) in order to achieve that. More justification for a breakaway if that happens than there was when the UCI was originally formed!
