The fact he has had no inactivity between fights for this one to me is giving us a Floyd who looks razor sharp to me in training . Lets see!

Is it the same as number three, which was the first one I bothered to watch? I'd been hoping for something different from the norm, but again it could basically be condensed in to half an hour of Mayweather's opponent saying, "I'm not like anyone Mayweather has fought before, I'm going to shock the world" and Floyd saying "I have a lot of money and a shed load of cars and expensive jewellery."

Basically the same as any pre-fight feature ever made about Floyd by either HBO or Showtime.

It's an utterly pointless program, hoping that Alvarez pulls off the upset.

Curiosity (or idiocy) got the better of me. Watched three minutes. The first minute was Alvarez's team telling everyone that a new era in boxing is coming. At sixty seconds, we got the first bit of wealth-based showing off by team Mayweather as one of his skanky, fake eyelash-wearing tarts went to collect half a million in cash for him so he could go shopping. The final minute included Floyd having a go at one of his 6'8", man-boobed personal security guards for having the temerity to walk out of a store after Floyd, rather than before.

I should have known better.

How can anyone like this 'Money May' persona? The man is boring beyond belief.

His team are an embrassment as is he. Such a big headed buffoon, but obviously such a talented boxer. Alvarez is the man in my eyes. I think he's gonna cause Floyd allot of trouble saturday, whether he wins or not who knows. All I know is, I'll be rooting for Alvarez to smack the cockiness completely out of floyd and hopefully floor him.

I think in his last couple fights Alvarez has looked really good, I can see him at least giving Floyd as harder fight as Cotto...

Think this will be Floyds hardest fight and although I really cant see Floyd loosing a decision and Alvarez will need to KO Floyd to win I think. I think Floyd will win this but where many think Alvarez should have.

Maybe a bit of wishful thinking but just a hunch.

this may be the case and many boxers like to use this game.. But money also brings a PR machine that is aware that fans are important.

One part of me hopes Floyd wins as he is one of the greats and to see him retire with his 0 would be something special. I'm gonna put 2 bets on, the 1st is floyd by UD and the 2nd is Canelo by KO.

i must admit i am leaning towards a late Stoppage for Mayweather

i think Canelo may tire and get frustrated, if he starts lunging in the later rounds then he is going to get caught.

though the sensible money is defo on a points WD

Alvarez, to be honest, looks in very good shape, looked good against trout (although for me it was very close), and has enough power to worry Floyd.

my only issue is his stamina. If this does not hold up, which it hasn't in the past, i can only see Canelo winning 2-3 rounds max before mayweather starts to pot shot him from round 4 on.

Saying that, if Alvarez can land solid combinations on the ropes and DOES land a shot, i think mayweather could be in a new world of trouble.

Either or, as it stands, in going for a Floyd UD. That will change tomorrow no doubt.

To be honest am not sure if this was at any weight below light middle (I know it is not strictly light middle before someone else points it out) I am not sure any of us would be giving Alvarez much of a chance as I just don’t see what he does well enough to trouble Floyd. Fights in spurts so is unlikely to win on pressure, hits respectably enough but is not exactly a huge puncher and sure as hell ain’t outboxing Floyd any time soon, also does not possess the kind of reach of a Paul Williams to try and keep things outside and win that way.

However for all that Floyd has never looked 100% convincing north of 147. Whilst I thought he beat Oscar better than the cards reflected there were moments when he appeared to spend longer on the ropes than he wanted and Oscar did have his moments, similarly against Cotto he got caught far more than would normally be the case. Still cannot see anything other than a Floyd win but there will always be that little element of doubt every time he is beyond welter.

You just have to see the Canelo v Mosley fight to see how Floyd will win this 1. I think Canelo will crumble in the face of the magnitude of this fight.

Ill caveat that with the Oscar against Flloyd

Oscar should win but he does have an annoying way of finding ways to lose big fights. Think he should outbox Canelo but if Canelo fights at a bit higher tempo than he usually does Oscar's ability to fade down the stretch could potentially be his achilles heel again.

Fair one i guess and i know styles make fights and all but as for the weight being wrong for Mayweather i think that the Oscar fight is as good a barometer as anything else to show how mayweather deals with it.

Don't know mate, the 8th round against Guerrero he really openend up and nearly stopped him had it not been for his hands. Mixed up the body shots and smashed countless right hands and left hooks to the grid. Robert looked dazed and was on the retreat.

Yea but he failed to follow it up, it wasn't his hand (he had injured it earlier seemingly), it's that he knew he had him beat so coasted, as he does most fights

He could have taken out JMM and Cotto had he thrown more punches, but that's not floyd

Anyway Canelo is not Guerrero. He's a natural lightmiddle whereas Guerrero had to beef up to be a welter hence which slowed down his legs why he turned into a brawler/in-fighter whereas he used to be a boxer

And it's the same every time he fights. Four episodes of the same stuff every time he fights! Persona or not, all the cash-worshiping and the seeming lack of ability to value anything of substance is a horrible message to send. But, you just need to take what is a rather painful read through some youtube comments on a Mayweather video to see that many young people lap it up.

For me, if it's a persona, it's boring. If it's his real attitude, it's boring. If it's a mix of the two, it's boring. I reason I watch him fight is because he's the best boxer of this generation.

Does anyone have a realistic idea of the impact of Canelo making 152lb's? How drained would he be in the last few weeks of training? He was 157lb at the 7 day I think, is he drained at 157, if he's a 170lb guy? Would he have been focused on cutting weight 3/4 weeks out? would his calorific intake be so drastically reduced to impact him in sparring?

The last week is generally a case of just ticking over, resting, fine tuning and staying at peak fitness while making weight, that much I understand, but in Canelo's case how much would making weight effect performance. Anyone got any factually based idea? For the record I didn't think he looked healthy, I thought he had a Ricky Hatton (later version) look about him. He'll rehydrate huge, i'm not so sure he'll get his strength and more importantly stamina back.

TMT totally PWNED team CANELO with the weight!! Money was willing to go to 154 but made Canelo management DROP weight. Now its MESSING with Canelos head before the fight because he knows he got PLAYED!!!
