The Ranking System Plays A Cruel Trick
First topic message reminder :
After the US Open Djokovic is still at number one with 10,980 points but Nadal is only 120 points behind at 10,860 points. However Nadal's 150 points for finishing runner up in Vin Del Mar in February have not been included. Apparently he has been penalized for not playing a 500 event after the US Open last year! Ha ha! So along with all the zero's he has for not being able to play for 8 months when he started to play he wasn't able to keep the points he earned as a punishment. Looking at the rules Nadal may have got off lightly. After all he did also miss Canada and Cincinnati last year so I'm surprised the ATP didn't prevent him playing in Monte Carlo and Rome earlier this year too. That would have been funny...

The really funny thing is that Nadal has earned enough points this year to be number one. If he was able to count his 150 points he would overtake Djokovic. The Ranking system has played a cruel trick!

^ Good grief! Patronizing, insulting, childish, off topic, bullying... You are certainly putting me off from commenting

Well I'm sorry you feel like that Hawkeye.
I was trying to say that despite understanding the stance of Julius about you repeatedly saying the same things, that I am a Murray fan who welcomes your articles and enjoys reading them.
I guess I'll keep quiet and let you continue fighting the world...

Re: The Ranking System Plays A Cruel Trick
When hawkeye fails to offer unequivocal answers (as opposed to evasive waffle) to straightforward, legitimate questions posed by johnyjeep yesterday (sept 20) 2.01pm, I personally find that whatever credibility her article and supporting arguments might have had are promptly lost.
There are - quite simply - just too many of these barely-veiled, anti-Murray diatribes for there to be any further misunderstanding as to the real purpose and ulterior motive. I also believe that some of those who come on to defend hawkeye's wumming tactics must bear partial responsibility for the ongoing nonsense. Throwaway lines which make unsubstantiated allegations claiming the temporary ban had no justification do nothing to help hawkeye's cause.
Regular posters will be very aware that hawkeye is more than capable of writing very readable and rational articles without the need to resort to baiting and negativity. But once she reverts "to type", any goodwill that such articles can generate is pretty much eroded. In this respect, hawkeye ends up doing herself an injustice.
The temptation to slate Andy Murray at every opportunity just seems too much for hawkeye to resist. Many of the now-departed wummers from the old 606 used to do the same (albeit with other players as the target of their contempt). The fact that hawkeye takes a more erudite-sounding and less 'aggressive' approach does not make it any more worthy. The mock surprise "Who me ....?" protest reaction when challenged by other posters really is beginning to wear thin.
Ultimately all this becomes very tiresome. In truth, that point was reached some time ago, and it's one of the reasons why I spend far less time on the forum these days than I once used to.

Thanks lags72. I agree with your post 100%. There is nothing else too add from me.
Other than to say, personally, I won't be wasting my time trying to engage in a discussion (on a forum built specifically for that purpose!) with HE again.
