IRB law clarification on kicking

Rumour has it that this Irish challenge is directly challenging Leigh halfpenny's kick pointers, supplied to him on field. Will there be repercussions?

""He was the best (goal-kicker) in the world in his day, and I couldn't think of anyone better to have bringing on the tee for me and giving me little pointers just before the kick and things."

Same Irish that use players as water boys to get messages on the pitch? Surely not!!!

IRB news feed.
It's sort of a joke thing, just to clarify. No one could believe the pointers he is receiving are physical objects but the clarification uses this unhappy phrase.

I'm waiting for notification on Bismark du Plessis who has been cited following his red card. I'm surprised more players haven't been cited in the aftermath.
The commissioner will have to weigh up the farcical nature of the first yellow against the leniency shown to du Plessis last time when he was cited for eye gouging and received just a three week ban, rather than the minimum penalty of three months.

If he's cited it would be a joke. The second was a marginal yellow (he pulled the yellow first) then had to pull the red, being two. There was no red given the IRB admission so they'd be fools to place a ban- thats much is obvious.

Well he has been cited. Quite what they'll decide is another thing. It would be salt in the wound if they do anything other than apologise.

GE,
I thought you left..............
What was the exact nature of the Irish complaint? That he was recieving info or guidance from a coach before kicking?

Na, 1/2P's actually a robot. The pointers are the co-ordinates Jinks inputs when he brings the tee on.GloriousEmpire wrote:IRB news feed.
