Absolutely boiling where I am....

Well, just tot let you all know I am sunning it up in sunny Menorca, been keeping up with things on here, so thank you for the match threads, coming home on Friday, but hey ho aim going back to my sangria, estrella, and sun, and my all inclusive, ta ra.

Just got back from Gran Canaria. Rained twice. Four days of rain in 3 years (I was told) and it bloody rained twice.

Still, no internet access so it was a nice surprise to get back and see the news.

Well hear this chapettes - I just got back from a wee cheeky canoe trip down a major African river and it pished doon fae the fecking heavens most nights but was then bloody roasting - toasting.    Had to drink copious quantities of tonic with the odd gin thrown in to combat the feckin mossies.   That apart nothin much to report tbh

I'm not long back from my sojourn in Orlando, it chucked most days torrentially for about five minutes. After exhaustive research I can confidently say Yankee beer is pish, even the much lauded microbreweries. While there daughter got engaged to a MAN UNITED supporter. Where did we go wrong?

We didn't do holidays this year. Got a new baba instead. Quite wet also.

Well I'm jealous Dowlais. Good summer here in Blighty, but we did not go away this year.
I liked Menorca when I was there a few years ago. Great hol for my (then) teenage daughters. Did the statutory boat trip around to a rocky cove for some snorkelling. Very nice hol as I recall.
Did find / stroll through a weird high walled German holiday camp with teutonic loudspeaker music, cross between 1950s Butlins and Stalagluft III, with a dash of The Prisoner at Port Meiron. V strange camp.
But Menorca - lovely place.
It will feel cool when you get back here late September.
