Jesus chisora looked like an animal in there tonight. Completely different fighter since losing the weight.
Chisora vs Fury rematch? Be very good to see.

Well done Dereck - good effort from him there.
Winning the Euro title could be a great springboard back into the world scene.

Credit to CHisora, I think he would've won anyway, but that was too early.

Fu*k it! Again? This is getting irritating now. Is there some sort of Ponzi-esque scheme going down in British boxing?

can guarantee nobody would be saying it was a decent stoppage if it was a british fighter being stopped like that
had LKO in the prediction league would have come in with a decent ref

Premature stippage but i think would have closed the show within 30 seconds anyway. Great performance from him, looks a different man.

We find it happens a lot in fights in the Uk that refs jump in too quick to give the home fighter the win.
Chisora looks amazing and I think he would bet Fury in a rematch.

Probably a slightly premature stoppage, but the German was taking a lot of shots and not offering anything back.
He should probably have been given a few more seconds to see if he started throwing back, but it's not one to get too mad about IMO.

Yeh sorry mate i meant it would have been over soon. He took loads of shots and didn't even complain at the stoppage mate and neither did his corner.
When the f**k is Saunders on?!

Re: Anybody Watching The Sky/ Box Nation Card. (SPOILERS, Doubt Anyone Cares Though)
it does annoy me though, british fighters always getting these stoppages. some of them need to learn how to finish these fights instead of landing two clean punches and letting the ref stop it
boxing is a tough, physical sport, i know the refs are only trying to stop fighters getting hurt but that goes against the very nature of the sport. im not saying i like seeing a fighter out on his feet but the likes of benn would have been screwed with refs like this as he often was at his most dangerous when hurt

Makes a contrast from Cleverly being carried back to the corner by the ref when he was out on his feet at the end of the 3rd and then let start the 4th when he was walking around like a drunk man.

Yea hampo, I flicked it over from the Chis fight. Absolute sickener once again. Mathews is certainly inflicting some stoppages the last while back.

Hahaha that fight was ridiculous hahaha. Why was that chief support!!?? The bald guy was awful, the debut guy was awful. This card makes Hennessys cards look like HBO PPV!! Haha
Re: Anybody Watching The Sky/ Box Nation Card. (SPOILERS, Doubt Anyone Cares Though)
Jeeeeeezussss!! Another fight to sit through before BJS v Ryder!?
Re: Anybody Watching The Sky/ Box Nation Card. (SPOILERS, Doubt Anyone Cares Though)

WHAT?! Another fight!!?? Between two nobodies?!
Frak this guys, im off to bed. Very peed off.

The ref's must be on a bonus for early stoppages.
If that was Buglioni he would have been given every opportunity to continue.
If a guy gets knocked down then gets up and holds his hands up he should be given a few more seconds to see if he can fight and defend himself. British ref's are the worst around at the moment.

Super frank a nobody?
If you'd stayed up you'd have seen a stoppage that made the ref in the chisora fight look like a butcher.

Way worse than the Chis stoppage strongy. The guy was up at 3 and responding to the ref.

Add to that Milky that Dave Paris is the third judge in the BJS fight.

Ryder tapping himself in the face with his gloves when he's feinting is annoying.
Not much power in BJS's punches.
Saunders will take this.

Re: Anybody Watching The Sky/ Box Nation Card. (SPOILERS, Doubt Anyone Cares Though)
Thought Ryder was unlucky not to get the decision looks the better boxer and thought he done enough to win, also BJS got away with a lot of holding. I cant help but think if Ryder was the big hope for Warren rather than BJS then he would have got the nod. Hats off to them both though it was a good fight, but with more experience i can see Ryder maybe going on to have the better career.

Agree with you Hogey, I also thought Ryder did enough to get the nod.
He looked the better fighter in there and was certainly the ring general.

I thought Ryder was good for at least a draw. Saunders was really struggling at the end.

Re: Anybody Watching The Sky/ Box Nation Card. (SPOILERS, Doubt Anyone Cares Though)
I thought it was a very close fight. 7-5 on the cards reflected that. Ryder finished better but earlier in the fight I thought BJS was nicking more rounds if only by a very small margin.
Bit of a clash of counter punching styles but intriguing enough, definitely a fight to do again.

Nice to see that you have such a sympathetic understanding of mental health issues - neanderthal doesn't come close to describing you - did it ever occur to you that Dean Powell was in a really bad place & that maybe he wasn't thinking straight? Or maybe it's easier to assume that he's a selfish git for jumping in front of a train, never mind the turmoil, the hell that he must have been going through - imagine how low you must feel to think that the only option left is to end your life (and yes I do feel sympathetic towards the train driver - that is something that no one should have to experience).Union Cane wrote:Don't agree with applauding a man for jumping in front of a train.
It's no wonder that people suffering with depression and other mental health issues find it so hard to talk about it when there are muppets like you around.

There was applause held for Dean Powell who killed himself recently by jumping in front of a train. He was a well respected boxing trainer and manager in Britain.kingraf wrote:who jumped in front of a train? Being im South Africa, whats news to you guys gets no coverage here...

The 10 bells and minute applause was to celebrate Powells life and everything that he did for boxing
Next you will be saying that he doesnt deserve a funeral. I know people who have taken their own life and in a case of one of my best mates I know the mental torment he went through when he was alive
People do not take their own life for 'a bit of selfish fun' there in normally a terrible and tragic tale behind it. Your entitled to your opinion Union Cane but I would rather you kept your highly insensitive comments to yourself and given your caveman like attitude to such a serious situation I really do hope that you or anyone close to you is not effected by mental health issues or the loss of a loved one under such tragic circumstance

I was absolutely furious when I read Union Cane's comment but didnt say anything at the time as I was watching the boxing and didnt want to spoil it by getting into a heated debate over a such an unpleasent subject that time of night. Glad I wasnt the only one though who understands the total cold heartedness and sheer ignorance from him. And as iv stated I really hope neither him or his loved ones are ever effected by such mental health problems or tragedy
