Johnny Greaves; 100 fights
Not in the least bit glamorous but thought I'd put a topic up as I've seen the bloke fight a handful of times. Johnny Greaves retired at the weekend after his 100th fight and signed out with a win.
As far as journeyman fighters go Johnny always gave it a go, knew the score and probably should have a few more W's to his name but just kept going. There are plenty of recognisable names on his 'legacy' which you can find HERE
Well done Johnny Greaves!

He did well to keep his pro liecense with that record.
Fair play to him. I hope he's not too bashed up after all that.
Most of his fights were 4 rounders and he never went beyond 6.

If you're not getting knocked out you'll keep your license.
A bit of a showman (Ali shuffle etc), a lot of recognisable names on the record.

The 1st round KO on his record was a bit of an upturn in form.

I don't know anyone he beat?
Should i?
Fair play for carrying on though after having lost 96 times.
Tough sport but hopefully he made a decent amount of cash to retire with

No. He's a journeyman fighting on no notice against house names. He's not paid to win.mobilemaster8 wrote:I don't know anyone he beat?

Sorry Scott misread the OP.
I noticed a few good names he has been in with and lost against, but i thought he meant won against.
Tough life but some good exposure.

100 fights in 6 years. That is some going. I do hope the guy made a few quid from this, because we need fighters like this to test the up and comers. I have nothing but respect for the man!
