The Simpsons news - Spoiler Alert

I have read this morning that The Simpsons producers are going to kill off an 'iconic' character. They aren't saying who, just that the person who voices them won an Emmy for their work. The last character I think they killed off was Maude Flanders.

It could be a number of people but my personal opinion is it will be Sideshow Bob.

Who does everyone else think it might be?

Is this a good idea?

Could it be time for Mr Burns to die? That guy is about 1500 years old.

To be fair, looking at the list of actors that have won an Emmy for their voice work on the show it could be anyone! All the main stars have won the award and they all voice multiple characters!!

I've not watched any Simpsons past about series 9, but if I could choose a character to die, it would be Maggie. She annoys the hell out of me.

It hasn't been that good since about series 10/11.

A rather desperate attempt to win viewers isn't it? Was one of the best TV shows ever for seasons 1-9, has been one of the most inconsistent TV shows ever from then onwards, with a lot of dross thrown in.

She's a goody two shoes. Thinks she's clever. Potentially shot Mr Burns. Whose baby has ever been a suspect in an attempted murder investigation? Get rid, allow Bart and Lisa to go to war with each other. Not that I'll watch, even then

Kill the show off.
