All out of position team
Hey guys, was just thinking of Quins and randomly thought of a team all out of position. Now I don't mean smarmy things like Robshaw at 7, Youbgs at Hooker or minor changes like a TH at LH or FB at wing. I mean an int team like this; (Quins bias as I know them a lot better)
1- Morgan- he has the bulk and would still be a deadly carrier. Less need for work rate
2- Manu- we've moved all our other centres there and he would be a great crash option as a forward
3- B Vunipola- think he played there long ago and his brither's a good prop
4- Banahan- tall enough, another danger carrier
5- Wood- already a lineout option, good leader in the pack
6- Barritt- his skill set would work pretty well here
7- Cole- great work rate and breakdown work
8- M Brown- already wishes he played this position
9- Wade- eye for a gap, easiest way to counter his lack of size
10- Robshaw- frequently plays here for the odd play
11- D Care - had covered it before and genuinely fast over short distances
12- Goode- he's not got raw speed to be an INT full back but as a second distributor he could be a great option at 12, covering 10 and offering a boot where Robshaw probably doesn't excel...
13- M Vunipola- just imagine it!
14- T Croft- genuine pace and a lethal cross field kick option
15- Twelvetrees- could cover here with his huge boot and running skills

Re: All out of position team
I think you could quite happily throw Zinzan Brooks in at flyhalf, he had quite a decent kicking game, as well as the distribution skills.
Jonny Wilkonson used to play the odd 'fun game' as a colt at no 8 and his tackling is definitely backrow quality.
I think Dallaglio played centre at school and into university.
There are lots of forwards who think they can play out in the backs, but not so many backs who would like to move up to the forwards. Andy Goode at prop?

Was only messing. Philips has had a good career. Very bad tour this time though.ChequeredJersey wrote:CheekyGunsGerms wrote:Sean O'Brien at 12. That would be epic.

I should be careful. If Morgan and Billy V get injured again this 6N, SL might read this thread and try Brown at 8

Re: All out of position team
1 - A Jones, 2 - ???, 3 - G Jenkins, 4 - AW Jones, 5 I Evans, 6 - Faletau, 7 - Lydiate, 8 - Warburton.
Their all out of position
I was thinking Lydiate and Roberts are more or less interchangable in the welsh setup, as both are expected to be the defensive rock of their pack/backs, and neither are expected to do anything more exciting in attack than run hard and straight. The only differnce is Danny has to shove in the scrum, and Jamie doesn't.

Not when we have Tom Wood and Courtney Lawes...though he could replace Tuilagi in the midfieldChequeredJersey wrote:I should be careful. If Morgan and Billy V get injured again this 6N, SL might read this thread and try Brown at 8
