Never a massive fan of his stuff, far too tech-minded for my neanderthal sensibilities however I thoroughly enjoyed "Without Remorse"
All that aside, his attention to detail was, I gather, impeccable and he spawned a string of imitators who I would wager failed to surpass him by some distance.

I loved Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger. Never knew they were books! Good on him for creating something that will carry his name through the ages

Guy is dead and the Op can't get his name right..
Clancy's books were a little long winded for me...........Good stories though If you cut through the technological stuff........
