Just so you know, I was willing to pay up to £2.5m for Berahino. If you only heed one piece of advice this time around, let it be this - don't take the first offer for a player, hawk him round a bit!

In fairness, that "some teenage Croat" just happens to be Halilovic, one of the most in demand young players in the world at the moment.

I'd go out on a limb and predict that by the end of the January transfer window, both Halilovic and Berahino will have gone up at least once, but that Halilovic will be worth three times what Berahino is.

Maybe, but it's October and Halilovic will do absolutely nothing in mainstream European club football until January at the very earliest.

EDIT: Which is the rest of this season and virtually all of next season too.

I'll change it. He'll remain worth at least 3 times more than Berahino. TM being a European site means it isn't Premier League centric, so Halilovic will be valued appropriately.

I think Berahino's goal at Old Trafford was worth more to West Brom than Berahino's value would be!

I don't doubt your claim, but in a league where we rarely make three full seasons, I don't see Hallilovic being relevent until the next reboot IMO. Berahino's playing Premier League football.

Fair enough. THat's what the game is based on and makes it tricky, different opinions.

I would say at the moment that Halilovic's rating is already higher than Berahino and that Berahino is playing catch up, but that is just my opinion. I know Hero and Viva at least would think the same and I suspect Azzy would if he were honest and it weren't for the West Brom connection.

Halilovic is the better player, and has achieved more. He's got 2 caps for a decent country, Berahino has four goals, three against Newport County and one at OT. A fantastic goal, but just one PL goal.
