Champion trainer Paul Nicholls has 10 of the 102 entries for the Grand National at Aintree in April.
Nicholls has never won the race and his hopes include recent Cheltenham winner Neptune Collonges and What A Friend, part-owned by Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Midnight Club is among nine entries for Irish trainer Willie Mullins.
Jonjo O'Neill has three contenders - Don't Push It, who won the National for Tony McCoy in 2010, plus Synchronised and Can't Buy Time.
Entries for the Grand National closed on Wednesday, with the weights announced on 15 February. Of the 102 contenders, 34 are trained in Ireland and three in France.
Last year the race attracted 112 entries. although a maximum field of 40 is allowed on the day for the four-and-a-half mile contest.
Neptune Collonges and What A Friend are joined by stablemates The Tother One, Tricky Trickster, Taranis, Tatenen, Niche Market, Just Amazing, Gullible Gordon and Meanus Dandy.

Re: Grand National: Paul Nicholls enters 10 in Aintree race
Thanks Hobo
I hadn't seen the entries........it's always a worry.....wondering which of my favourite horses are on the list.
Was hoping they wouldn't run Neptune Collonges....I love that horse.......I'm surprised John Hales is willing to risk running him in a National..
It was lovely seeing Neptune winning at Cheltenham last weekend......I think that was his Gold Cup.
If I were his owner I'd run him in the Gold Cup, not the National, it's far too risky, I couldn't bear to see him have a bad fall.
I suppose I have to be realistic when it's National time, and tell myself that as much I am fond of some of these horses, the fact is they are bought to do a job and not as pets.
Most owners dream of having a National winner and pay out thousands of pounds in pursuit of that dream.
Neptune would be well suited to Aintree...........more so than Tidal Bay
I see dear Fair Along is entered, I'll be watching the whole thing from behind the sofa, as usual.
I used to watch jump racing day in, day out, then I got too busy and then a favourite horse (witchita Lineman) got killed, so I had a break and never really got back into it, but I've been taking an interest again these last couple of months. I've been looking for a forum to join, ready for Cheltenham.
I joined one last year, I won't name it, we don't want to send people there lol. but it was just betting talk, odds, stats and all sorts of boring stuff, absolutely no use to me at all lol.
I did try and drum up some business for this site but it's not going well so far lol.
There looks to be some very decent posters on 606 racing pages. I did tell them about this place but some of them have difficulty accessing the site whilst at work.
I might start some more threads to try and create a bit of interest, but I expect I'll only be talking to myself lol.

Re: Grand National: Paul Nicholls enters 10 in Aintree race
I backed BIG FELLA THANKS to win a tidy sum last year and three out i thought he was in with a serious shout but he faded from the second last. His run reminded me of Hedgehunters the year that he led for most of the race then capsized when under pressure at the last in that both horses ran to free, did too much too early and paid for it late on.If Graeme can get BFT switched off early then i think hes got a top shout of hitting gold this year.Guaranteed to get a run off 151,i know hes pleasing Ferdy in his homework and at 20s or slightly bigger he warrants a second glance.
