Re: British Ladies Watch (16 to 21 May 2011)
Bally pulled out of the Strasbourg event as a precautionary measure and should be fit for Roland Garros next week. As she mentions she would have likely been beaten even if fully fit so it wasn't worth the risk.
Heather has two more rounds to go in the RG qualifiers.
And we have two British ladies in the quarterfinals at the ITF event in Turkey.

Heather Watson(119) vs 30 yr old S. Foretz Gacon FRA (140)

Nice one Watto
If my calculations are correct she might break into the top 100 if she beats Foretz Gacon, but I've been wrong before.Won't be easy anyway against the home crowd.

Re: British Ladies Watch (16 to 21 May 2011)
Hi thanks.
If Heather beats Foretz Gacon she will gain 100 pts, which when added to the 60 pts for winning through the qualifiers this week would give her 732 points (having played 26 tournaments). 732 points would take her to 93rd place in the current table - so I'll stick my neck out and say yes she will break into the top 100.
Last year she only gained 1 ranking point in May (gained in the week beginning 3May).
