Re: AP McCoy
Mountain Tunes was the bet of the day. Surprised it wasn't odds on.
A fantastic achievement by Tony McCoy. The hardest thing in sport is staying at the top and McCoy has been consistently at the top of his sport year in, year out.
My favourite McCoy wins were Mr Mulligan and Make A Stand in the Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Champion Hurdle respectively within dayd of each other at the same Cheltenham Festival.

Re: AP McCoy
With every record that he surpasses, records that will possibly and more than likely probably never come close to being bettered, AP cements his right to being considered the best jockey to have ever thrown a leg over a horse under any of the codes. His appetite and will to win is as strong now as it was when he first started out and while there has been better horseman,Francome or Bradley for example, there has surely never been anyone with such an iron will to succeed.Yes he had plenty of penalty kick rides when he was first jockey to Martin Pipe, rides that any half decent pilot would have won on but its his longevity that is inspiring,he seems as focused now as twenty years ago even though he has nothing to prove.Tony McCoy has lost races that he should have won, every jockey in history has but unlike so many others hes won a great deal more races that he should have lost and in my humble opinion that's how a truly great jockey can be placed above the mere mortal ones.
From every racing fan, congratulations on a truly monumental achievement.
