Re: Favourite TV shows
A three-part Scandinavian drama that's just finished on BBC 4, "Don't Ever Wipe Tears Without Gloves", was bloody brilliant in my opinion.
Superbly written and superbly acted.

Re: Favourite TV shows
still dont get how anybody could like lost after the way it went and finished. i did really enjoy it for a few seasons, then bared with it for a few before grinding through it to find out answers only to be extremely disappointed

this is england (just to get one British show in)
as you can see most of them are more recent series, really do think that tv has massively improved in recent years. mainly because the influx of top american shows. only could really think of this is england as a British show that i really enjoyed

I thought broadchurch as a British show was excellent, a very well written thriller

Re: Favourite TV shows
They are remaking it in the states, David Tennant is set to reprise his role as the Police Inspector however the role of his female side kick is to be played by Breaking Bad’s Anna Gunn (Skyler White).

Wondered how long it would be before you stuck your head through the door.
Just remember the racism on the show was 50/50, and it was often the white guy that was portrayed as an idiot on this show.
Delightful stuff! Some episodes on youtube if you want to have a gander.

A bit like buses - wait for ages and then two come along at once.
Really enjoyed the first part of Lucan last week, well evocative of the '70s era and, from my reading, the different characters involved. It concludes tonight and clashes with the start of The Great Train Robbery, another true life crime drama I've been looking forward to.

Re: Favourite TV shows
Anyone see Lucan or The Great Train Robbery last night?
From the nil response to my last post, I guess not. A pity. I thought both were excellent. At this last stage, two of my favourite programmes of 2013.
An interesting and plausible solution to ''what did happen to Lucan'' offered although not entirely bought by yours truly. Meanwhile, the contrasting light humour and dark menace of the train robbers brilliantly shown.
Both recommended if you do get a chance to see them. The backgrounds and build ups to the crimes were well set out meaning an existing knowledge was not essential.
