you always here people describing how tough a game is to play , so what is the hardest game you have ever played?

dark souls hit a zombie about forty times saved game , only then i get killed by a second zombie . come back to save point only to see the first zombie respawn . tried few times take disc out and not played it since .

BrokenSword series. Also BrokenSword 5 is being released in December through Kickstarter, if anyone has played that series.

Golden Axe was very tough.

Although not the hardest ever I recently completed Infamous Second Son on PS4 and there is a boss on there near the end called 'He Who Dwells'. I won't go into any more details as it could spoil it for people but he reminded me of a proper old school hard as hell boss that you don't generally see in games today. Can't remember exactly how many attempts it took me (well into double figures) but I do know I ended going back to it about 4 times before finally progressing.

Infamous is a great game by the way, by far the best I've played on next-gen.

Hardest as a kid I remember was Rayman on PS1, jeez that game killed me, that said I always thought someone on drugs designed it, awesome as a kid though. Currently for me I Am The Knight mode on Arkham Origins is killing me, more because when you die its game over, with no reversal icons and tough enemy combos.

LA Noire's questioning annoyed me to no end too.

I liked the concept of L.A Noire, but yeah, that game got repetitive fast.

For sure, the idea of playing a 40s film was nice. But man, so repetitive, also the ending was just depressing, even more than GTA 4 which was just "YOU WILL SUFFER NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO!" it makes Niko Belic look like he's having a great time compared to Cole Phelps. I heard there is supposed to be a sequel to it out next year. W-hore Of/On The Orient I think its called, based on the corrupt Far East.

Its a shame really seeing as Red Dead showed that the GTA formula could be used for other time periods or scenarios, and Rockstar are typically spot on with their releases. Though I'm still livid I couldn't use the Bond style car in GTA 5 off mission with the gadgets.

I only managed to complete a few games on the mega-drive (Vector Man, Streets Of Rage & Mickey Mania), where as I have completed every game I have for the ps1/2/3. So going on that I would say Golden Age or Revenge Of The Shinobi were probably the hardest games I have ever, or possibly will ever, played.

Loved playing 2 player on the original Streets of Rage and then kicking the crap out of my brother just before the final boss battle  

When I was younger, I found Zelda, more specifically the Water Temple was pretty difficult, I recall still getting stuck when I bought it for the 3DS

Been playing 'Revenge of Shinobi' on my Megadrive and how the hell you are meant to complete it even with using cheats is beyond me

Dyminate Heady and Greendog where the only two games I had but couldnt complete.

Earthworm Jim was a pain in the Ar$e aswell. You had to complete it twice to complete it!

The Tombs of Tutankamen on the BBC

Sam Fox Strip Poker on the ZX Spectrum.  Managed to see her norks a few times but not once did I get to see her mimsy.

Have any of you seen this - it plays SNES, Nintendo and megadrive games in one console! A few others too!

turok was hard on the n64, the levels were stupidly long with very little save points. cant remember if i got stuck on the levels or i just gave up bored

Manic Miner - couldn't ever get passed the level with that sunshine/laser beam thing.

Knightmare on the ZX spectrum, everyone I knew never got past the second room, apparently there was a spade and you had to dig in the ground in the middle of the screen.

Manic Miner on the same console deserves a mention, took my 20 years to beat the bloody thing!

I'm just coming to the end of Bloodborne, finally. Blimey, that's a hard game.

F14 Tomcat on the Atari 2600 is the hardest game I ever played! IF you managed to take off and didn't get killed within 2 minutes by a mig you ran out 9f fuel or couldn't land!
Recently Ninja Gaiden 2 was also really hard

Exhumed (Sega Saturn) was the hardest I ever played, infuriating yet so addictive. The Shinobi games were also very hard (Mega Drive) though I found Golden Axe and Streets of Rage fairly easy. The Desert Strike series I always gave up on, though not really my type of game.
I prefer the Total War games these days, too old and slow for console games

Started a career as a Top Order batsman

2 and a half seasons in, on Easy, High Score of 33, Average of 9, and all of my Selection Chances are "No chance"

Ah batting i can do, Bowling i cannot.

the batting is ridiclously difficult on that game, and its far too easy to pick up wickets
