PlayStation All Access Empty PlayStation All Access

Post by Bull Thu Nov 14, 2013 12:55 pm

Today is the day the PS event takes place for the release celebration for the PS4 which will be live on Spike.

Rumours have it that there will be announcements made such as world premier and reveals of possibly exclusive games.

Games featured to be there with announcements are:
The Last Of Us DLC
Destiny (Exclusive content?)
MGSV (Exclusive content.)
Epic Games are apparently supposed to announce something.

Hideo Kojima the creator of MGS also has said that there will be a "PS4 shocking announcement that will blow your mind."

Even Shuhei Yoshida was left shocked with one announcement reveal during the rehearsal.

What could it be?
The Sony VR Headset?
Is it MGS related?
Something to do with Kojima?
Could it be the highly rumoured Agent or the game that has been in development hell The Last Guardian?

Pretty interested to see what comes out of this, will try and catch it later. Lots of talk on the net about the VR Headset and it possibly being ready for launch Q4 2014.

Been invited to the local store where I have the PS4 pre-ordered for their 12am launch party tonight. I'm not around anyway so couldn't make it but don't think I would have gone anyway, that's a bit too nerdy & geeky even for me. Mrs is going to pick it up tomorrow morning instead.

Uncharted 4 announced and I may have to hold onto my PS3 as The Last of Us has story DLC out next year.

B91212 theres been stories of some possible HDMI issues with the new console can you give us a shout how things go?

Also I'm not getting COD Ghosts, BF4 and KZ will be enough FPS for me but are you getting it?

Can you keep an eye out for slow down?

Enjoy it! I'm pretty envious

Uncharted 4!

I'm extremly hyped for MGSV!!! IT LOOKS STUNNING!
I really really hope that Hayter makes some sort of appearance in it.

Presumably Uncharted 4 is hardly a shock? I'd have thought it was a given?

It wasn't a given Hero as we thought ND were working on U4 but no real confirmation considering they normally only have 3 games per generation for a series.

If you were a betting man you'd have put money on there being an Uncharted 4 though. It's like a Halo, Forza or Gran Turismo, it's just expected now.

It might be for now although ND did split into 2 teams so expect something else as well down the line.
Have to say I still won't be jumping to next gen as of now. Due to no need even with U4 over in the horizon.

Well the wife picked it up this morning so it's at home - the problem is that I'm not and won't be for a while due to work. Once set up I will let you know how it goes.

Not a fan of COD or FPS's in general so can't help you there I'm afraid. I will probably get Destiny when it comes out but that will be enough for me. Watch Dogs and Drive were the games I was originally going to get at launch so currently I haven't picked anything up for it, was just going to go with Contrast & Warframe to begin (as they are free!) and see what other games they give out with the PS+ membership. Thought about Knack but that got some 'kack' reviews and may even give Drive a miss now and wait for The Crew to come out instead.

I watched most of the launch party on Spike (was 9pm here due the time difference) and was personally a bit underwhelmed with what was revealed. Don't have a PS3 so The Last of Us DLC is of no use to me, expected Uncharted 4 anyway (although it was nice to have confirmation) and also agree that MGS V looks impressive. Can't make my mind up on Infamous Second Son but it's good that it now has an actual release date.

Only know about local to where I live (central Alberta) from what my Mrs told me earlier but she said that there was a lady being interviewed on local radio moaning that she had been waiting an hour to pick one from from one of the big electrical stores and the line wasn't moving much. After the midnight launch most stores were opening again at 9am this morning, my wife got there at 9.30 and only had to wait about 10 minutes.

I'm guessing that there will be some disappointed people around here who were guaranteed console when they pre-ordered but won't get one in this first wave. I ordered mine at EB Games (Canadian version of GameStop) and when I called earlier this week they said they were only getting enough inventory to fill pre-orders that were placed up to the end of August. I see there are some on ebay, bidding is around $510 (they were $400 new) and the buy one now's are at $600 + postage.

I live in Edinburgh and was in my local Game and it had a PS4, once I'd pushed my way to the front had a wee go.

From my brief time you could only have a go on Octodad and Knack, had a go on Octodad which was ok. Unfortunately the wife wanted to go for something to eat.

Curse her bones. Might pay a visit tomorrow!
