Bragging Rights Is No More
From F4W:
The WWE announced at the show tonight in San Antonio that they would be coming back on October 23 for a PPV called Uprising. The late October PPV had been called Bragging Rights with the theme of a Raw vs. Smackdown main event. The concept had been weak the year before, but dropped off 32% the second time because it came the day after the Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez fight.

Re: Bragging Rights Is No More
so what do everyone think will be done on this PPV. Prehaps a card giving the Lower/mid wrestlers a chance to shine
and
what will be done with the bragging rights trophy. A match at Survivor Series? as it was basically a traditional SS match anyway

Uprising by Muse has to be the theme tune for this!
I quite like the name, and hopefully you are right, hopefully it will be a PPV where midcarders have a chance of a title shot.

Re: Bragging Rights Is No More
I can't believe they're getting rid of the Grandaddy of 'Em All, the Showcase of the Immortals - Bragging Rights!
Who can forget such great Bragging Rights moments as......uh.......erm.......hmmm.
Anyway, we now have a new favourite B-level pay per view to love for all of 12 months before the name gets changed again. I like your idea tooze of giving lower level guys a chance in the spotlight. Maybe they could make the Breakthrough Battle Royal an annual thing and the winners on RAW and Smackdown get a shot at the respective World titles at Uprising?

I like the name of it but was there a need to get rid of Bragging Rights? How old is Bragging Rights? Isn't it one of the older PPV's?

Re: Bragging Rights Is No More
it could work as one of the matches on Survivor eries though as it was only a classic survivpr series match at the end of the day

Re: Bragging Rights Is No More
They did a Raw vs Smackdown match in 2005 if i recall the same night the Undertaker came back.
Uprising has the potenial to be a good ppv but as we all know WWE do sometimes screw stuff up.

Thank God they're getting rid of that, what a waste of a PPV, there is no built up rivalry between RAW & SD! and a short 3 week storyline never makes it look any better, with how weak SD is this year they probably realised they couldn't even make an idiot believe SD would win

Re: Bragging Rights Is No More
I felt the RAW Draft show was a mini Bragging Rights with all the Raw vs. Smackdown matches. So, I think its a good thing that Bragging Rights is gone.
On the other hand, Im not too enthused about the sound of Uprising.

No need to apologise mate, if the WWE did a better job in keeping the brands seperate then the whole thing would be much more intresting

Re: Bragging Rights Is No More
Glad they have dropped the PPV, was pointless due to the fact there isnt actually a rivalry between the to brands, howeever i aint keen on the new name.

Re: Bragging Rights Is No More
Well, I always found it strange how one week, the superstars on Raw are feuding between each other, then a week later are joining together to beat people they havent seen in a year or more!
