Big Phil Vickey Questions Forward Pass Interpretation
And is Gavin Henson the answer to the Welsh midfield's lack of creativity?
Just what is 606v2's most roasted topic?
BoD being dropped?
Wilkinson's injury crises?
All Black cheating?
Springbok thuggery?
Should the Welsh coach be replaced?

Re: Big Phil Vickey Questions Forward Pass Interpretation
Hard to remember the intensity of most of those ones but I've been around for most of them.....
I think though that the BOD one threatened to send the world into 10 years of a Nuclear Winter.
I know I certainly looked up the price of those shelters that the guy made in the American desert on that Stephen Fry documentary a year or two ago!
Although one you haven't mentioned is getting into that territory too and it's the HEC wars.

Re: Big Phil Vickey Questions Forward Pass Interpretation
I thought the bod thing was festering just quietly below critical mass myself, but it suffers from recentism as they say when one tries to change a Wikipedia entry.
I'm sure some of the pacific poaching or 10 man versus welsh way fights had their day.
I wonder what the most frequently posted rugby term actually is.
I suspect "referee"

I suspect it's 'Best'.
Best players this week. Best players this minute. Best games. Best teams. Best stats to prove Best teams. Best can't throw into a lineout.

Team X is better than team Y because they beat team Z who beat Team T who in their turn beat Team A not so long ago.

I can only agree. Lions topics account for 90% of the posts during a good 9months!
The nice thing is that there is an infinity of possible variations:
- your lions squad
- your lions squad if all fit
- your lions squad if lions tour was next month (the form thingy)
- Poll! Select your fly halves, props , etc
- lions injury and replacement posts
- lions matchday squads outcry: X is missing, token Scotsman etc
- gatland/welsh appreciation threads
-etc etc
Edit: V2 advanced search found 300 matches when looking for the word Lions in the topics

You forgot about the one "Those unlucky not to make the Lions squad" It usually evolves around whether the "unwanted" team will beat the one selected.

Are whistles particularly clean? Of all the things in the world, is a whistle the cleanest?

I suppose it depends on who is using it.
Bryce Lawrence doesn't like to use his.

A whistle must be clean to produce it's sound. The phrase was coined long before the notion of germs. It was thought that all referees were afflicted by cold sores as a punishment by the rugby gods for incorrect calls regarding forward passes and the direction ones hands were pointing.

Would be too much confusion then in the MS. Maybe a big American Truck sounding horn instead?

Id rather see buxom cheerleaders using interpretative dance to represent the ref's rulings. We never understand what the ref has seen or not seen but at least we'd all be a lot happier with his rulings.

I can't believe you're all forgetting just how serious the Gavin Henson article epidemic was on old 606. Nothing comes close.

Henson?
Funny that, because I'm sure I've heard that name somewhere before, but I can't really remember where.
How quickly some ultra important media figures become shadows in a forgotten past.
Speaking of which!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nobody has mentioned that other Welsh genius for headlines - Shane Williams???? Now there's a guy that has had his era in the 606 sun too.

Shane who?
You suggesting he's a has been?
There Ugo quins, Shane is the Yardestick of great wingers...you have to Wade in and have a pop at the great one who rose like a phoenix from the Ashton to join the Lions only a few months back and save the day. Strettle down fella.

Re: Big Phil Vickey Questions Forward Pass Interpretation
calm down son, wou're having a cross between a Warbble and a Hibbard - aka a Wibble. the Shane about the nipponese phoenix-like rising from the Ashtons is that when he stood up to be counted no-one noticed he had moved. If only the Leeks, unlike the Lions had Flown Outside with a Sexybody rather than a Big lump and relying on Deity Intervention (living in holy, or Priestly Land), then they might have overcome black, green, gold and gold and green. Perchance the greater problem in the principality was internal, intestinal, nay even to do with the Gut? Gut-less-Land? or GutLand?Scratch wrote:Shane who?

Mine was a Ben Cohen reference, in case there was any actual offense taken.
On a side note, did anyone hear that Vick Philery has retired?
