Thank you for making this such a wonderful forum! The "Wales" thread passed 1000 posts and in all of that there were no WUMs, people sticking to the topic, almost no insults and great productive, intelligent discussion. This has become a super forum. So thanks everyone and have a wonderful new year!

Clearly the majority of WUMS on this forum are Welsh and they're all busy discussing the best way to implode

Quite true, but with Wayne Barnes reffing Ireland V Wales, and Alain Rolland refing Wales V France, I'm sure we'll beat each others throats in a few weeks!

I don't go near the international section of this board because frankly it is where all the WUMs reside. I've recommended this forum to several rugby fans I know but always advised them to stick to the club section.

Re: To Moderators and Members
You may be right now, and that is a great thing you observed. But quite a few good posters left the forum previously because of the insults and crap attitude of certain posters. All over the Euro trash Rugby negotiations. Clearly the number of current active posters is lower than before. Hopefully everyone has learned it ain't personal on the forum and we ain't doing each other here.Intotouch wrote:Thank you for making this such a wonderful forum! Re: To Moderators and Members
As I said on the aforementioned thead, it's one of the few threads that I've stuck with from start to finish. Good, honest, passionate debate. Lots of strong opinion but very little slating or sledging. Kudos!
Happy new year!

Cheers Grey, you too. Hope you're not affected too much by the ice/snow storm. Is that affecting your part of the US much? Aren't you near New York? Stay safe!

Doctor Grey that's terrible! Could you try to persuade them back? I don't know how you can say though that insults aren't personal. That's the whole point of an insult.
Also did they not complain about any abuse that they got? I had hoped it was the a-holes who were leaving.

Well I left for a bit so yes. Unfortunately I came back (I left until the Euro thing was sorted...I thought it was, oh well)

The euro mess is undoubtedly a very emotive subject and I think even some very level headed posters have lost their cool in some of those threads, myself perhaps included. However getting a bit heated over a very contentious debate is not the same as the out and out wummery and deliberate attempts to upset other posters which is common place on the international section, I find that sort of behaviour quite rare on the club section.. Which is why I only post on the club section now.

Re: To Moderators and Members
Without going against what you said, I would like to point out that each of the 3 years that the forum has been going (happy birthday us - yay!), the xmas period has seen a big decrease in posting.
Who would have thought that people only come on here during work time!
Hopefully that is the reason why a lot of people have disappeared - they will be back (fingers crossed)

Re: To Moderators and Members
I would like some of the posters who left to come back. Many left without comment, I suppose just figuring it ain't worth it. Some left with comment. A few of the rectums left but some remain, but seem to have toned down the verbiage for the moment. We need more good posters here.Intotouch wrote:doctor_grey wrote:You may be right now, and that is a great thing you observed. Re: To Moderators and Members
Actually I got back here in New Jersey just Saturday night. Was in England from mid-December. We received about 8 inches of snow here, but my sons, who came back to Jersey a few days before me, had everything cleaned off. I think my area got very lucky. At least it wan't a hurricane...............Griff wrote:Cheers Grey, you too. Hope you're not affected too much by the ice/snow storm. Is that affecting your part of the US much? Also hoping to regain some of that amity which the form had when it started.

I expect the majority of non-Welsh wums are just sitting back and enjoying the bickering taking place in Wales.
