32 teams in 32 days: Washington Racial Slurs
Washington ***skins
Record: 3-13
Offensive Rank: 9th, Points: 23rd, Passing: 16th, Rushing: 5th
Defensive Rank: 18th, Points: 31st, Passing: 20th, Rushing: 17th
Offensive MVP: Pierre Garcon
Offensive LVP: Whoever played QB
Defensive MVP: umm, Orakpo probably
Defensive LVP: All of the secondary took turns getting undressed by WRs, lets go with Rambo.
Story of the Season:
RG3 was the main talking point throughout the offseason, and it appeared he came back too early as he was limited physically and appeared overmatched in the passing game, often racking up stats after the game had finished as a contest. Defensively, the Skins were a hot mess, especially in the secondary. All in all a massive step back which cost Shanahan his job, after a ridiculous staredown between him and Snyder, ending in RG3 being benched.
2014 Outlook:
A healthy RG3 should go some way to bringing the Skins back to 2012 form under new HC and all around nice Jay Gruden, who was brought in primarily to act as peacemaker after the way the Shanahan regime ended. Retaining Orakpo should be critical as hes the closest thing this team has to a defensive standout. Adding DBs in FA should be a no brainer also.
2014 Draft Needs:
The Rams own the 2nd pick, and I would expect them to heavily explore a trade. Jay Gruden must start rebuilding the roster without the 2nd overall pick, or a first rounder in general, realistically the Skins would likely look to move down further and collect more picks for a roster that could realistically use help on every level. Secondary help is the most critical need for this team however.

Where do you start with the Redskins???
Garcon was defo our best player last season. By a mile.
DHall was our best defensive player. Never thought I'd ever be saying that but he played well all season. The problems in the secondary were elsewhere.
Orakpo started slow and didn't show up til it was too late. Kerrigan was the opposite - started well then disappeared.
D-line is as big a problem as the secondary - can't generate any pass rush without blitzing.
Rambo deserves pity rather than scorn. He's a 6th round pick who shouldn't have been starting. Injuries and horrible lack of depth and talent forced him into action before he was ready
We need talent and differencemakers so with our second round pick we should take the best WR or DB available or even just BPA. After that we just need to do a better job of drafting which is something we didn't do under Shanahan.
Outlook for 2014 is grim.

I am not sure what to make of the Redskins? Last year they were poor. The previous season albeit for RG3 getting injured/ bad call in keeping him in the game they would have probably have been facing the Falcons in the divisional round.
Not sure how much RG3's fitness affected the Redskins last season? Alfred Morris was in the top five RBs again (2nd only to 2000+ Peterson in his rookie year) and Joshua Reed looked the real deal at TE.
I feel the Eagles will be better next year and will probably win the division again but it wouldn't be the biggest surprise if one of the wildcard teams (after either the 49ers or Seahawks) comes out of this division.

I fear you're right Olly. Am underwhelmed by the Gruden hire. Time will tell. If Gruden isn't the right hire though, then you fear for RG3.
