Bull, good choice. I don't think Sam is a top 50 (100) player in this draft.
I know nothing of college football, but a quick look at nfl.com has top 50 boards and top 5 players by position. I use these amongst others.

Interesting choice on Nix though GSC. I would have said Aaron Donald makes more sense assuming they are going to lose Melton. Was reading something on Twitter about teams viewing Nix exclusively as a 3-4 nose tackle, haven't they said they are sticking to a 4-3?

I think I've mentioned before but a solid NT is the key to a good 3-4 defense. Bears on the other hand would be better suited to Aaron Donald IMO.

With the 16th pick, the Dallas Cowboys run to the podium to select:
Aaron Donald, DT, Pitt
They need a Safety in the worst way too, so Pryor was a consideration. Taking Donald though means they don't have to feel bad about letting someone else overpay for Jason Hatcher and the game is won in the trenches at the end of the day.

You planning on taking my 3rd Round pick? I think you mean 86. I may be interested...
EDIT: Jets also have the Bucs 3rd Round pick (69) because of the Revis trade.

With the 18th pick the Eagles select Marqise Lee
Perhaps a surprise given recent signings, but the Eagles can afford to go heavy on WR with 1.5m invested in QBs. Next season when Foles needs a new deal, DeSeans contract will look awfully enticing.
Lee struggled with injury problems this season but a season against he looked a nailed on top 10 pick. He has the YAC ability to put up monster numbers under Chip Kelly.

Re: 2014 Mock GM Draft ROUND 1 - COMPLETED!!
I have Jason Verrett as my top rated CB and he would be a good fit IMO. However, I think the Packers need to strengthen at Safety more than anything else. Casey Heyward will be back from injury and Micah Hyde was fantastic at times last year, plus old man Tramon Williams could always do a job. I don't personally like Calvin Pryor at this spot but by everyone else's rankings (and I mean everyone else's), he would be the best choice here.

Re: 2014 Mock GM Draft ROUND 1 - COMPLETED!!
Jets pick Odell Beckham Jr, WR, LSU.
Jets need offensive playmakers. OBJ is an explosive receiver with great speed and quickness to create separation and YAC. He's elusive in the open field and will slot right in as the number 1 WR and Kick Returner. He can run every route and has good hands as well as the innate ability to make special plays.

I don't know much about ODJ - is he a Tavon Austin type or a Harvin? Or more of a slot specialist than either of them?

None of the above. Very much an outside receiver that can play in the slot. I said he has speed and quickness but not to the extent of Austin, Harvin or Brandin Cooks who is also coming out this year.
I think Antonio Brown is a good indicator of OBJ's game.

Re: 2014 Mock GM Draft ROUND 1 - COMPLETED!!
Tracks Kelce is back from injury this year and he will blow it up. Chiefs are deep at CB so I think there's no need for Verrett.
Robinson is my number 4 WR. He's such a fluid athlete that has deceptove speed and change on direction that gets big YAC. Brandon Cooks is similar to Dexter McCluster (although much more polished) so I think Robinson would be a better fit.
