Van Nistlerooy returns to football

Van nistlerooy has announched he is coming out of retirement and going back to professional football

the fitness regime he had to go through to lose the weight he put on was amazing, he had the nickname food van nistlerooy due to his weight gain but he got back into shape, can't wait to see him back in action.

Read about this and isn't he just going through the motions for computer game or something...shame really as Utd would sign him in a heartbeat at this stage

well there are a lot of rumours about him signing for a club in the next couple of weeks on a free transfer. He has been training and releasing videos of him training for a while now. Can't wait to see him back in action.

Best pure striker in the game when he was at his best. Always felt like it was a huge loss for United when he went to Madrid.

Best thing that happened to us Socal, as a pure striker everything has to go through him to work but playing Saha instead gave us a far more dynamic approach, also got the best out of Rooney and Ronaldo.

Ruud, if you want to play football again then you can play football again, why the long face?

Agree with the Rooney and Ronaldo part, but can't see United being better with Saha than with Ruud.

It's a team game, Ruud was a better goalscorer than Saha but lacked the pace to suit our more dynamic style of play, it's the benefit of actually the games.

no we were genuinely a better team without ruud, we became predictable when he was in the team always just going through him and aiming for him. when saha came in he did a lot of the donkey running that created a lot more space for the likes of rooney and ronaldo

ronaldo and ruud were never going to mix, a player who doesnt move out of the box with a winger who never crosses it. ruud used to feed off beckham all the time but ronaldos game was all about goals himself. sometimes the best players on paper doesnt mean a better team on the pitch (if only moyes could realise this now!!)
