Khan, basically at journeyman status, claims Mayweather is using his name for publicity...
I've heard it all know.
I'm surprised he hasn't accused Wlad of dodging him...

Did we actually listen to it or are you all happy to take one two's word for this? With the greatest of respect to him Khan is not his most objective topic.

Will you stop trying to shoehorn politics into every single subject, lad...it's as tedious, if not more so, than your constant Floyd fluffing.

So he said everything apart from the comment that makes him look like an egotistical idiot of the highest order.

To get back on point before petty arguing starts. Khan has called out Broner on twitter this morning, saying that Maidana knocked him down twice and he'll knock him out.
Who wants to see that fight?

Re: Amir Khan on talksport NOW
I'm all for guys fighting each other irrespective of whether there's a belt on the line.
Promoters seem more keen to sell a title fight than a decent fight whereas a good fight is a good fight whether it's for a title or bragging rights.
With both Broner's and Khan's frailties having been exposed of late, you'll end up with certain folk asking why guys like that should be fighting for a belt whereas two guys who are simply fighting to get themselves back in the mix makes it more palatable in my eyes.
Still, what hope of a refreshing change where some guy just wants to fight cos he loves boxing eh?

Re: Amir Khan on talksport NOW
But if he won't fight Brook until a belt is on the line then why is he calling out Broner?? Unless there is a diamond belt or some nonsense being supplied because last time I checked, Broner was beltless too!

ME!
Reckon Khan could have a field day at 147.
Not head first bulldozing in your face pressure like Maidana, but just keeping out of range and peppering Broner over and over with lightning fast jabs and combos all night long.
Just don't think Broner can cut it at 147, should go back down for juicy fights at 135-140.

Difficult to defend fighter's talking about wanting to be the best who then state they're willing to fight for any old piece of sh!t strap in the next breath

Broner and Khan won't sell without a belt and maybe not then for the money they want..
Both are rebuilding ex-champs..and devalued as a result...

Re: Amir Khan on talksport NOW
Surely an eliminator between these two would be seen as the perfect platform for a rebuilding process. Not even the most ardent Khan fan can think his last two performances warrant him a shot at the big time and past deeds just don't cut it any more...
Perhaps the biggest fight these two will have is the one where they have to accept that they can't command top dollar at the drop of a hat.

Re: Amir Khan on talksport NOW
So what if they're used to big money...if Khan lost three or four on the bounce, should he still be entitled to big money? F**k the pair of them.
People give Haye a hard time saying what's he's done to deserve walking into another title shot but bizarrely are happy for Khan to be gifted the chance of a lifetime having done little to demonstrate he's worthy of the shot. Irrespective of whether or not he's got the skill to potentially cause an upset, if he can't do it against mediocre opposition, who in their right mind is going to think he can win against the best boxer on the planet.
For me he has to take a sideways step or he can do what he's been doing for a while now...sitting on the sidelines with his thumb up his hole waiting for opportunity to come knocking.

Because Boxing is a business and when he's finished he has to live with the consequences when you've forgotten about him..
It doesn't make any sense now..He beats Broner It's sloppy seconds..
High risk...low reward at the moment..
But that might change.

Re: Amir Khan on talksport NOW
Think you'll probably find that if Khan never fought again, he's got enough money to not have to worry about when I've forgotten about him. He seems to be under the illusion that he's the God given right to a title shot when, having worked his way to a shot against Alexander, he got greedy and decided to go for the big bucks. Why the hell should I give two sh*ts about a guy who's thrown away a chance at a belt in a very winnable fight in order to join the queue of grown men willing to subject themselves to the humiliation that comes with being part of the Floyd Mayweather show.
Have a bit of self respect Khan.

Re: Amir Khan on talksport NOW
Point is, with Maidana fighting Floyd, what are the opportunities for Broner to get back into the mix? Exactly how long does Khan wait for him to pick up a belt before he faces him...and of course, without a belt himself or a meaningful fight for lord knows how long, how does Khan force the issue and get himself into position to fight for a title anyway?
There are fights that are "marking time fights" and there are fights that still demonstrate a fighter's willingness to test himself. Broner's the best option and, let's face it, if he finishes off the loud mouth c**t, his appeal will sky rocket.

His appeal won't sky rocket in America..
Garcia beat Khan..
Need a strap to sell it...Both aren't big enough names for the fight to be viable..
Too much to lose.
