Best - Norwich and Forest FA Cup games in 2007. Sat in the corner of the Matthew Harding lower tier about 5 rows back from the corner flag. Not only were corner takers close but had a great view of battles on the wing and the penalty area.
Also, Chelsea v Blackburn at Old Trafford in 2007. 8 rows back midway between the tunnel and the Chelsea dugout. Perfect view of all the goals scored.
Worst - Anytime I've got the cheapo restricted view tickets for Stamford Bridge. £23 in the Matthew Harding lower tier right at the very back where the upper tier prevents you from seeing the other end if you stand up. And the East Stand upper tier, right at the very top. The way the stand is built the lights on the front of the roof mean you see throw in takers on the other side from the waist up and whether you sit at the north or south end of the stand there'll be a pillar that blocks the about five yards of south or north corner flag area. I mean the corner flag on the East Stand at the opposite end to you.

Brentford away, the terrace. Flat and low down so if you're not at the front you'll struggle to see much, that's if the concrete pillars don't get in your way.

Worst was at An field where we had restricted view seats. Sitting down you could only see half the pitch, standing you could only see the penalty area! Fortunately this was when the snowy times hit, so there were spare seats near the front
Best was Arsenal away in the corner right near the front when Steve Morison scored the equaliser he celebrated right in front of us. Great times

Class away game though!!! Any ground with a terrace is always going to better though than any seated stadium.

Best - AMEX. Fantastic view, helps that they don't sell any restricted view seats.
Worst - Anfield. Stuck right at the back. Rubbish.

Visiting fans at Millwall's old Den were put in a pen at the corner of the ground as far away from the CBL as it was possible to get. There was a big wall, fences and these were topped by some pretty serious razor wire. These measures weren't there to prevent them causing trouble, it was there to save their lives.
If you wanted to avoid the gobs and spits, and the objects (lumps of concrete, spuds with razor blades or nails sticking out of them, that sort of thing) that were frequently hurled over the fence by the Millwall hooligans, you had to huddle as far up into the corner of the visitors section as you could, which meant your view of the game would be blocked by a floodlight pylon.
And the floodlights themselves....... They were undoubtedly the weakest of any I have ever known at any league club. My bike has more powerful lighting than the old Den and on a murky, foggy January afternoon you would be lucky to see what was going on around the halfway line, let alone the far end.... that is, what you could see from behind the floodlight pylon.
