The US broadcaster of course is not showing the match of the day Gulbis and Grigor, anyone got any updates on that.

Stan has been the most impressive player so far in this tournament.

Do you get ESPN3 through your ISP?
Gulbis played much better than Dimitrov, IMO. It is tragic to see such natural skills in Gulbis not see better rewards.

Very surprised at Djokovic losing a set to A Gonzo (Gonzo reminds a me a bit of Berlocq).

I guess there will a big upset tomorrow Kevin Anderson to beat Wawrinka in tight 3 sets.
KA has been in an awesome form and only lost to Dimitrov in a close fought 3 setter in Acapulco.

Djokovic for an experienced professional with 700 match, 6 slam wins, and 41 tournament wins is just so streaky. When the guy is dialed in he is one of the best players to ever play the game. But he goes on walkabout so off in matches and during the year more so than other greats. Still it is a credit to him that he almost never loses to these lower ranked guys outside of the top 10, but again a loss of concentration that against a Nadal, Murray, Wawrinka, or Federer will cost him the match.
They ended up showing the Gulbis v. Dimitrov match. And Ernesto "Che Guevera" Gulbis was immense. I have to say he has the worst looking forehand on the ATP tour, I would laugh at a club player that has that shot. Despite that liability he has so many others things that are right with his game and so much goofiness that he is always entertaining. If he had a technically sound forehand and some sanity this guy would be winning slams and challenging in the top 5.

Even by Novak's standards, that was a huge walkabout at the end of the second set.
His general standard isn't too bad (although his return of serve is strangely AWOL) but the drop off when he has these lapses is huge.

Dimitrov v Gulbis is fast becoming my favourite rivalry. I really hope both reach the top 10 and shake things up.

2014 does feel like it will be a changing of the guard. None of the big 4, except Fed, look to be anywhere near their best. Conversely, the likes of Stan, Cilic, Dimitrov, Gulbis and others look to have really upped their games. There's a real sense of suspense about this event, which hasnt been present for a few years.

Yes, I agree, BS.
It also feels like if one of Nadal, Murray or Djokovic can find their top level, they could have a big year. For all the improvement in players you mention, I still think their level is below what I consider the A games of the top guys (with the possible exception of Wawrinka who is really playing some great tennis right now).
Federer must be cursing the fact that Wimbledon is still 3 months away. If it were played next week, I think he'd be a strong favourite!

Gulbis is too inconsistent, compared to Dimitrov, but, yes, they can play some good matches.

True, but hopefully mentally he is in a better place than his formulative years.
